Millie aka Potato aka Loaf aka Butterball is the most wonderful girl. She walks perfect on and off leash, does not mess in her kennel and does not show any interest in cats. She doesn’t beg food from kids and she gets along well with calm dogs. Millie was reported to have been thrown from a car and left on the side of the road and we just can’t figure out why. Millie desperately needs a diet and some walks. Come down to Macoupin County Animal control and give her a few squeezes and possibly take her home. Our hours are Weekdays 10-2, closed Tuesday, and Saturday 8-12

Hope Rescues is all volunteer, all visits must be scheduled you may do that by filling out an online application as that is needed for a visit. You can find an application our website. Our adoption fee is $275.00 which includes Rabies vaccine, spay/neuter, current heart worm test, DHPP booster, Bordetella vaccine, Microchip, Worming.Jax is barely a year old and very friendly with people but not so much with other dogs. He is a submissive male so no dominance in him at all. He loves kids, loves to snuggle and play tug of war. He likes to joke around and stick his tongue out at you sometimes as you can see in his picture here..lolPlease help us make room to save more homeless pets!!! Adopting from Hope Rescues saves the life of two.. the one you adopt and the one your adoption makes room for. We are a Rescue which means we physically go and save lives. Hope pulls animals on their last day of life from animal control facilities that still use the inhumane gas chamber to put to death homeless pets. Story
This is Rusty he was brought to us by a friend as a temporary situation which turned into permanent/long term. He was found abused and chained up outside without food or water. We rehabilitated him back to healthy and gave him a good doggie life for the last 1.5 year. However, we have moved to a smaller home and no yard for him to run freely. He is a good dog but needs more attention as he loves people. He is crate trained and stays in one while we work or leave the house as he doesn't like being alone. He is house trained but still likes to chew when no one is looking. He does fine when he has toys and bones. Very loving and affectionate we just simply dont have the time or space for him anymore sadly and would like to find him a good home.

Story
Duke is a good boy who needs a home where he can get the attention he needs. We moved into a smaller house/yard, then had a baby, and Duke has been having a hard time since. He needs a home with other dogs to play/be with. Someone who can be patient with him and give him the amount of attention he requires. He is good with children and other pets, cats and dogs. Our baby loves him. He is a sweet cuddle bug and fierce protector of the house. My problem is Duke has very bad separation anxiety. He chews up things if he feels confined when alone and will hurt himself trying to escape a crate. We love him but I feel we aren't meeting his needs anymore.
