Story
My daughter and her boyfriend rescued this pup from a litter that had been abandoned on The side of the road. They’re now breaking up and moving into places that they cannot bring her with them. She is a sweet girl and needs a good home. They tried to do good but were busy with school and work so they didn’t get to work with her as much as they would have liked so she’s not 100% potty trained. She is wormed and up to date on her shots

Story
The lady I had gotten him from had found him in a snowstorm and was unable to keep him. He was really skinny and didn’t look great when I first got him but brought him back to health. I got him his first round of shots and everything he needed. He needs to stay in his crate when left alone because he does get into things. I currently work 10-14 hour days and don’t find it fair for him to be in a crate all day every day.

Story
Remy!     DOB: 9/2020    Weight: 40lbs  Over a year later and Remi is still on the market! She’s a small and very muscular looking pittie mix. She is completely house trained and does decent in the crate so long as she’s not in there too crazy long. She does fantastic with cats and has lived in a home fine with a small dog. Needs to meet any potential larger dogs in the home. Kids 14+ or ones that can respect her space are needed in the home. She previously lived with kids and was surrendered after the one (10yr) wouldn’t stay out of her face while she was sleeping and she nipped at him. She tried to tell him she didn’t like it but he didn’t listen to the cues. In a good home setting, Remi is a very friendly girl and loves to be with her people. No food or toy aggression issues. She likes to sleep in bed with her humans and is crazy about her chew toys. Toys are her life but, but she needs indestructible ones as she can chew through just about any toy. Remi likes having a doggie companion to play with, but should meet any potential ones.  She knows how to sit and takes nicely, very food motivated. Always down for an adventure outside but she’ll let you know when she’s tired. Enjoys car rides and does fairly well for baths. Her flaws include some anxiety that leads her to get worked up at certain things. She will try to bolt out of any door that is open and needs to learn to wait. When out on walks she does wonderful until she sees other dogs then she barks and carries on, throws herself around. Needs to be corrected before it starts, something to work at.  Her adoption fee is $175. That helps us to cover worming, vaccines, spay/neuter, heart worm test, and microchip. We offer a 2-3 week trial. If for some reason it does not work out, you’ll be refunded $100 of your fee. If interested in adopting her please fill out an application on our NEW website. https://www.newliferescues.org . If you have issues, send us a message through our Facebook. Came to shelter 3/2022. ***YOU MUST FILL OUT AN APPLICATION BEFORE WE DO ANY MEET AND GREETS. QUESTIONS? Story
Nova!       DOB: 3/2019     Weight: 53lbs   Nova is a VERY sweet pit mix. A major cuddler and a professional butt wiggler. Loves scratches and belly rubs. Enjoys sunbathing when it’s nice out. Rolling in the grass is a must for her everytime she goes out lol. She does well for baths and car rides. Good with most other dogs, will even play in the yard with them. She does have a prey drive for smaller animals, so no cats or itty bitty dogs. Great with people and kids! She knows how to sit and will take treats nicely. Not much food or toy aggression. Nova is a quiet dog with us, but she’ll attract attention with her weird little gremlin howls when out in public. She practically throws herself onto people for attention, so if you’re sitting on the ground be aware. She had it rough before coming to us. A puppy maker for someone until they didn’t need her, then passed to multiple different homes. She has been in foster with us for awhile now where we know that she’s house and crate trained. She does need apoquel meds for her allergies. Roughly $100 a month at the vet she’s currently with. Story
Rocky!     DOB: 5/17/2016     Weight: 66lbs   Rocky! This hunky guy is looking for another shot at a forever home too! He’s currently stuck in our overcrowded kennels. He’s a stalky, brindle and white pit bull terrier mix. He is completely house trained but will mark when he first arrives at a new place. Lots of dogs tend to do that. He’s been fine in his crate/kennel. He does excellent with other dogs! Previously lived with a 3 year old kid and did fine with him. Rocky does well for baths and car rides. Knows how to sit and takes treats nicely. No food or toy aggression. Rocky was adopted for several months but was returned due to him protecting what he believed to be his. He’s NOT a fan of strangers walking in or around the house or his people. He’s perfectly fine with HIS people, it’s new guests he doesn’t like. His adopter had muzzled him when friends came over and he did decent. Most of the time they put him up in a room. Rocky needs a proper introduction with new people outside of the house before allowing that person inside. His home was also surrounded by a solid wooden fence. A lady walked into the yard and Rocky had went after her. Rocky‘s ideal home would be one with a doggie playmate and someone who is very dog savy with larger breeds. With the right work he’d make a great guard dog and protector of the home. He was very loving towards the people that adopted him and he’s had no problems meeting people here at the shelter. It’s just once he gets into a home, he will become protective of the area and his people. His adoption fee is $175. That helps us to cover worming, vaccines, spay/neuter, heart worm test, and microchip. We offer a 2-3 week trial. If for some reason it does not work out, you’ll be refunded $100 of your fee. If interested in adopting him please fill out an application on our NEW website. https://www.newliferescues.org . If you have issues, send us a message through our Facebook. Meatloaf!   DOB: 12/2020   Weight: 55lbs We're not quite sure how he earned the name, but we love it! Meatloaf is a very sweet little pittie mix. He's a big fan of his people and enjoys hanging out with everyone. Rides well in the car and does great for bath time. He makes for a perfect walking partner and outdoor adventure buddy too. Meatloaf does prefer to be the only pet, but please don't be put off by that. He can walk around other dogs, just doesn't do well living with others. His adoption fee is $175. That helps us to cover worming, vaccines, spay/neuter, heart worm test, and microchip. We offer a 2-3 week trial. If for some reason it does not work out, you'll be refunded $100 of your fee.
