Kimmie is a sweet girl that loves her people. She is shy at first but you can see that she wants to be loved. It doesn't take long and she asking for some lovings and getting playful. Kimmie is dog friendly and kid friendly. She is 2 years old and approximately 45 lbs. She was originally found after being lost and on her own for 3 weeks. She was lucky enough to be seen near the home of one of our rescue members. Food was put out and we gained her trust. You could see her ribs and tailbone easily. Her owners saw our posts so after a week stay, she went home with her owners. They ended up surrendering her to our rescue when their landlord told them they could no longer have pets. He is leash-trained, but still needs help with pulling and call back when it comes to distractions. Oliver is great with other dogs of all sizes and adjusts his play accordingly. King is a great 9 year old dog. He likes to cuddle and lay on you. He likes to sit outside on the deck and chill. He likes cool weather and will stay outside all day as long as he has water. He is very friendly to people that you are comfortable with. He likes to be rubbed and kissed on. He will fetch a ball if you throw it and he loves playing tug of war. He has always had skin allergies since he was born, so his hair tends to fall out especially in the summer. It does better in the winter. I have never known him to be aggressive unless he is being protective of you.

Charlie is a 9 year old pit bull mix. He’s a giant sweetheart who is made happy simply by petting him and giving him a soft bed to lay on. He’s very laid back and chill. He seems completely indifferent to other dogs and cats - only focused on his owner. He does have separation anxiety, so the perfect home for him would be someone who is not gone a lot. But, if that’s not an option, he has adapted to my schedule where I’m gone for up to 9 hours a day, 5 days a week with zero accidents in home and zero things tore up. He doesn’t like lawnmowers or loud noises. He is on trazadone and Prozac to help with his separation anxiety as well as apoquel to help with itchy skin. The trazadone and Prozac are pretty cheap, about $35 for 3 month supply on chewy. The apoquel is quite a bit more, but may not need it in the cooler months. The reason I am rehoming has NOTHING to do with Charlie. I have only had him about 6 months and I am not a dog person (he was given to me by family).
