Story
Hi, my name is Boomer and I'm about 8 years old.  I was rescued by Bond County Humane Society from Bond County Animal Control.  My story is a sad one and not for the faint of heart.  I was raised in a home since I was 5 weeks old.  I was part of a family that had a toddler and a cat.  Through no fault of my own I was rehomed in October of 2024.  The new owner abandoned me in December 2024.  The reason given was they couldn't take care of me.  They had no idea how expensive dog food and vet care would be.  I ended up at Bond County Animal Control where I was at high risk for euthanasia.  Bond County Humane Society had met me and could not let that happen.  They found a foster home for me and took me in.   My foster mom says I am a very sweet boy and I'm good with her several cats.  One of the cats that doesn't usually like dogs likes me and we groom each other.  I know some commands and I am very willing to learn.  I want to please people if I can.  My foster mom says I whine when I need to go outside to potty.  My biggest fault is I get very excited when I meet new people and dogs.  I am working on getting a little less enthusiastic.  I do need to have a high fenced yard.  In my previous home I would jump the fence and play with the dog next door.  I am available for immediate adoption.  I am neutered, UTD on vaccinations, heartworm tested, treated for internal and external parasites and micro chipped.  My adoption fee is $150.  If you are interested in making me a member of your family please complete an Adoption Profile in person or on-line at www.bondcohumane.org.  Email the completed profile to the address provided.  A copy of our policy regarding warranties, refunds and returns is available upon request.January 17, 2025, 5:33 pm

Story
Duke is a good boy who needs a home where he can get the attention he needs. We moved into a smaller house/yard, had a baby, and Duke has been having a hard time since. He needs someone who is home more often than not or who can take him with them majority of the time. A home with other dogs to play/be with. Someone who can be patient with him and give him the amount of attention he requires. He is good with children and other pets, cats and dogs. Our baby loves him. He is a sweet cuddle bug and fierce protector of the house. *His Issues* Duke has very bad separation anxiety. He chews up anything if he feels confined when alone (ie my staircase) and will hurt himself trying to escape a crate. He will not stop going pee and poop in the basement since we moved. He was house trained no problems before we moved. He also will run off any chance he gets, a true opportunist.

Story
I rescued Nova from an abusive situation with my father. He is disabled and no longer able to care for her. She had a UTI and received antibiotics but otherwise no bad marks from vet. She is 9 years old and has lived in a home with another dog her whole life. They get along for the most part, but would fight if there was food available. She is very sweet-mannered and needs a good home to live her life out in.
