We found Chocolate several months ago hurt in the rain and fostered him while we find a new home. He is great with my other dogs and very sweet. He listens and is very smart. He is very active and loves to exercise. My husband and I currently work over 12hr shifts and barley have time for him. He is currently in a crate for long hours and it breaks my heart which is why I have the urge to relocate him asap. He deserves a chance to be active and loved.

Story

Bruce was a stray who was sleeping outside of our door in 9 degree weather in December of 2022, we are unfortunately unable to continue to keep Bruce due to being due for a baby in January 2025. We don’t have an exact age for Bruce but we have an estimate that is he probably about 3 years old now. Bruce has endured trauma with being attacked by multiple other dogs who were off leash resulting in him being afraid and not friendly with other dogs. He is okay with strangers/people that are coming into the house but definitely more fearful and barks at strangers when on a walk/ leash. Although Bruce has gone through a lot he still continues to be very loving, cuddly, kiss giver and greets us with utmost excitement everytime we come home. He also looks forward to his play time. Bruce knows how to sit, stay, lay down and ask to go potty. We are looking for an adopter who does not have other dogs and can be patient with Bruce and what has gone through. (Bruce has his rabies and flea shots)

When Casper smiles at you, and he smiles at you a lot, it feels like everything is right with the world. He's got a huge grin, and his whole face radiates joy. We've got a big crush on him! This sweet, meaty boy loves feeling the sun on his face and carrying around a tennis ball in his mouth. Casper can chase balls for days. He loves our off-leash play area, where he can run laps and roll in the dirt and leaves (his favorite thing). Casper is playful but also enjoys chilling with you. He's attentive with his friends and will check in with you when you're out walking. He also knows his basic skills, like sit and stay and wait. He'll do pretty much anything for a treat. Casper is able to pass other dogs without any issues and we're evaluating him to get a feel for how he might be with another dog in the house. His best fit would be a home with grownups who will play with him and take him for walks. He'd love a yard, and exercising with you would be his favorite thing. Casper has been with us a while, so he needs a little spoiling and encouragement to help him thrive in a home. Casper's adoption fees have already been paid by a secret admirer!

Caboose is as gentle as he is beautiful. His favorite things are plush toys and playtime, and treats are probably a close third on the leaderboard. Caboose is playful and athletic, but he also has a really laidback energy, meaning that he is up for anything but is never too much. He knows how to read the room and adjust his approach. We've had a lot of abandoned pets this year, closing in on 150, and Caboose is one of them. He came in so shy and frightened, but was nothing but friendly and polite with our team, as if he sensed he was in a safe place. Since his arrival, Caboose has grown more comfortable and confident. We'd love to see him end up with someone who is as devoted to him as he will be to them. We'd love to find him someone who can offer him nothing but love and stability and the life he deserves. Caboose does seem willing to make friends with some other pups, but is a bit selective and can take time to warm up to them. Pinky Tuscadero wasn't sure what to make of her photoshoot; no one has ever asked to take her portrait before. But, she liked Fred, our volunteer photographer, so she decided to trust the process and looked the camera right in the eye. In return, Fred captured some of Pinky's spark, don't you think? Pinky is a cool cucumber, steady, not in a hurry, always willing to stop and say hello. She prefers the laidback life -- sunning herself, gentle walks, please let's not hurry or count steps on our Apple watches. She doesn't even have a watch. Pinky is a 50-pound thiccckkk lady who (we think) looks like a pittie-mix with a little glitter and cotton candy mixed in. Her eyes are so soulful, they stop us in our tracks. Seriously. Swipe through and look at those eyes. Some fool human cropped her ears. The same human, we surmise, left Pinky behind one night outside our gate. Pinky harbors no ill will. She's all love, that girl. The only shortcoming we have observed is a slight fixation with squirrels that this chunky lady has zero chance of actually catching. But, hope is very much alive in Pinky's heart. So, mind the leash if she sees one of them there critters . Come see about Pinky, if you like your friends to be calm, cool, and chill as they come.

Tyne is a pint-sized beautiful boy who was rescued off the streets by a Good Samaritan along with his "twin sister Carlisle. They are both ridiculously cute and remind us of Phillip and Darren, the Blue Boys of Instagram fame. Tyne is good with other dogs and has tested well with kids. He sometimes feels a little daunted in new situations, so a little encouragement and confidence building will work wonders. He's happiest when he's playing with sister or another friendly dog. Tyne is a little more tentative (gentle) in his play style than his sister, but he tolerates her physicality like a champ and never seems put out by being knocked around. We'd love to see Tyne end up with someone who is social and easygoing and is looking for a true companion. He's so worth a look.

Carlisle is a little blue chunk of wonder. She's a mini-sized pibble girl, all game and fun. She arrived at PAWS thanks to a Good Samaritan who found Carlisle and her "twin brother Tyne wandering alone and in need of shelter and a little TLC. Today, Carlisle is thriving, loving her play time with her brother and getting along well with the other dogs she meets. She's also tested well with kiddos. Carlisle seems to be the more energetic and bold of the two siblings, and she loves to engage with you and checks in a lot. She's not yet mastered her basic skills but that is something we're working on. Carlisle would love to join a home with another social dog, particularly one who loves a more physical style of play. She's confident and comfortable in new situations and is just a great, loving dog. She and Tyne remind us of the Australian "Blue Boys of Instagram fame. We don't even know where to start with this little velvet hippo-ling. We adore Jade. We would climb on the shelter roof and drop rose petals on her when she saunters by with her little dinosaur tail swinging back and forth. Jade, who is now almost 1, came to us a few months back with a pretty serious non-contagious skin condition. We treated her and she had done marvelously, but now we can see it coming back. We think it is the stress of being in a shelter. Jade is bashful and sweet and ridiculously happy, even in a kennel all day. She adores people and is a friend to other dogs. When we asked her to sit for these photos, she smiled the sweetest little bottom-toof smile. Jade is doing well with potty-training and keeps her cage tidy and neat. She needs a break, this little bee. Please come see about Jade.
