Story
Courtesy Post - This is not a Street Paws animal but we are assisting a family with placing their pet.  Ringo is as cute as he can be. At 1 year old, he’s full of puppy energy and loves to be active and playful, but he will never fail to sit still for a treat! Food is definitely his #1 love language as he’s a growing young boy, but physical touch comes in at a close #2. He loves kisses and hugs as often as he can get them! He’s a happy, bouncy, loving boy who is learning new things quickly and will be a wonderfully sweet and loyal companion. Adoptions are limited to an approximately 150 mile radius from Locust Grove, GA, certain circumstances may allow exceptions.  Adoption fee is $250 To apply to adopt this pet, please fill out a Preliminary Adoption Application at  https://www.streetpaws.org/home/adopt.     This application does not commit you to an adoption. It is used to screen those interested to make sure the home is a good match for the pet and your family. We verify vet history on current/previous pets to ensure pets have been spayed/neutered and vaccinated annually. Please call your vet to give permission for us to call them. If more information is needed regarding the pet email info@streetpaws.org. You must complete the pre-application to obtain approval to meet the pet.  January 18, 2025, 6:32 pm

Story
I am not going to sugar coat him. Leo was extremely hard to manage right after he was rescued. He is a very energetic dog, and the only way to manage him is with time and activity. He is a FANTASTIC dog, but he is a HIGH maintenance dog and requires more exercise than any dog I have ever met (I used to work at a doggie day care). I do not recommend him for an inexperienced dog owner. He is the perfect dog, but I am not the perfect owner for him. The perfect household for Leo: -stay at home/ work from home owner(s) -HIGHLY ACTIVE: hiking, running, biking, any and all high activity exercise he can get -no small kids: adores all kids, but he is a big doofus. He will knock them down accidentally. -single dog household - fenced yard - experienced dog owner I have sooo more info but am limited on space. Please reach out! I am happy to provide more. Commands: - Sit - Down - Come - Stay - Place - Heal - Break - Off - Leave it - Load up - Crate up

Story
Sasha showed up at a local tavern, on Halloween, and a patron took home to keep her safe, thinking her owner must be searching for her since she was the perfect, healthy pup.  They reached out to us for help promoting her for adoption and are now fostering her.  She is house trained, and crate trained, loves their other dogs, is now spayed and current on all her shots and is truly an amazing and affectionate dog.  She knows basic commands and has been around cats and never chased or harmed them.  She is very active and enjoys playing with ohter dogs!  While she hasn't been around children, she is very submissive and we think would do well with children.   ##2282391##

Story
Wiggly is an extremely loving and friendly gal.   She is around 5 years old and has a very chilled out peronality, loves car rides, walks well on a leash and is crate trained and house trained.  She chased the cats in her foster home, seems to like other dogs and all humans she meets.  We think she would thrive with a quiet and loving home.  To meet Wiggly, please apply to foster or adopt her at buttsmutts.com ##2206544##

Story
Zoe is a 2 year old pocket pittie with short little legs and a huge smile!  She never meets a stranger, is friendly with everyone and FULL of personality!  Just looking at Zoe puts a smile on your face.  A kind neighbor rescued her from the chain tethering her to a tree in a backyard. She brought Zoe in from the cold before she delivered 2 chunky little pups. Zoe has been a great mom but will soon be spayed and ready for a home and a life with no more litters.   She seems to be fine with other dogs but will lunge after and chase cats!   Apply for Zoe at Buttsmutts.com  ##2282377##

Story
Oh man! How do I summarize in 1000 words?! He came to us post rehabilitation after being found neglected. We were meant to be his temp home and ended up staying a while 🫣 Now, we will be moving this summer and are unable to take him. He’s a typical pit bull; very clingy and mopey 😹 We have 2 kids and he has always been amazing with them. He is very affectionate. We have 3 cats & the rescue he came from had 5 other dogs and he has never had any aggression issues. He gets a lot of outside time here and we would love for that to still be the case. We only crate him before bed and if we have guests coming over, but he is crate trained. He is 4 or 5 years old. We’re not 100% sure because of how he was found. He had at least had all his crucial shots right after he was rescued. Come with crate, toys, bed, bed covers, food, winter vest, grooming things, etc… We encourage you to come visit with your dogs/kids to make sure it’s a perfect fit for everyone involved!

These pups are in Locust Grove, Georgia too!

Story
"Courtesy Post" This is not a Street Paws animal but we are assisting a family with placing their pet.  Lucky has had a very rough life so far. He needs a long term foster or furever home. We will cover all costs and supplies for a foster. He went to our vet for a thorough lookover, wound treatment and neuter. We thought for sure he was a senior however he is only 4-6 years old.   Here are the notes from the call with the vet. His liver and kidney values are good. He is a strong heartworm positive, he has an elevated white blood count (WBC), non-regenerative anemia, yeast infection on his skin and in his ears, his left ear is almost entire closed and is consider chronic, he is deaf in his left ear due to the untreated ear issues, he has limited hearing in his right ear. He will need ongoing treatment for his ears. His right testicle was atrophied. This could a tumor, diseased or maybe even cancer. We chose to neuter him to give him the best prognoisis and send it off for biopsy. He has bacteria in his urine, his fecal was negative. He has cranial nerve deficits possibly from the chronic ear issues. He has issues with his trigiminal and facial nerves, he eats funny due to this affecting the muscles, but his teeth look good. His pupils are mildly dialated and do not respond to light, blinking issues and likely optical nerve issues. He does have limited sight and smell. He is on prednisone in hopes to reduce inflamation and we hope that will also help his face, the nerve issues give hime the very excited look.  This boy is so sweet with everyone he has met. We do not feel he should be with cats. He has been with dogs and did fairly ok but due to the sight issues we think being an only pet may be best. He does love to play with his toys and his Pet Supermarket teddy bear is his favorite for now.
