Story
We got Rockie from my cousin who was moving into a smaller place. Rockie is the sweetest puppy. He loves kids and everyday he waits for the kids to come through the door from school. He loves attention and spending time with the family. Although we love Rockie our schedule is going to be very busy and don’t want to leave him home for too long. He’s very affectionate and needs a family who is receptive . He loves playing fetch and laying next to the fire place. We would love for him to be a home where he is loved.

Story
Friends to the Forlorn Adopt-a-BullCant Adopt? Apply to Foster Kali Today!Breed: Pit Bull Gender: Female Estimated Date of Birth: May 23, 2012 Size:  50lbs Location:  Dallas, GA RESCUING KALI In June 2012, three puppies were dumped at Animal Control. They were only a few days old and without a mom so their chances of survival were slim. The next day, Animal Control brought in a lactating female. Although she may or may not have been the real mom, she stepped up to the challenge. The mom and AC Staff did everything they could, but two pups died. The wonderful people at Animal Control reached out to us and agreed to hold the mom and the surviving female puppy for a few weeks until we could pick them up. The mom was treated for heartworms. The puppy, Kali, was a healthy girl. Once she was ready to leave her mom, we felt confident that Kali would be on to a loving home, but we were wrong.  ABOUT KALI Kali has been with the Forlorn family her entire life of 11 years and counting. Her dream and our dream for her is to spend her remaining years in a home of her own. Why hasn't Kali been adopted? It could not be because of her personality because she is the happiest dog on the planet!  Kali has a zest for life and she loves toys! She'll zoom around with any toy you give her. She is completely happy to run around with a ball in her mouth all afternoon. Kali is a bundle of fun-loving energy that would enjoy any activity as long as she is with her people. She would be a fantastic running or hiking partner. She would even just be happy to chase the ball around the yard for you. Seriously, this girl could play fetch for days. Playing fetch with a Chuck-It would be a dream for her. Due to Kali being housed in the rescue her entire life, she has never been around children. Therefore, a home without children would be ideal. She has not been around cats or other dogs either, so in order for her to succeed in a home she needs to be an only four-legged child. She is crate and house-trained.  Photo Album of Kali: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.531860010205503.1073741859.162554320469409&type=1&l=eff6e419eb Our adoption fee is $300. All dogs are current on vaccinations, spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, on heartworm prevention, and are fed top-of-the-line grain-free food.www.savingpitbulls.orgNovember 4, 2024, 12:01 am

Story
Friends to the Forlorn Adopt-a-BullBreed: Pit Bull Mix Gender: Female Estimated Date of Birth: August 9, 2015 Size:  48lbs Location: Dallas, GA RESCUING RIBLETT Riblett, formerly known as Kate, was picked up as a stray and taken to Gwinnett County Animal Services. She had been hit by a car so on top of being emaciated at merely 20 lbs and filled with worms, she also had a badly fractured hip. We had a foster home open up for a young female puppy so when GCAS reached out to us for help, we just so happened to have the perfect foster home for this little girl. Riblett got her freedom ride and we rushed her over to our vet at New Hope Animal Hospital. After Riblett's pelvis healed, she had FHO surgery on her hip to remove the ball of her femur and allow her to heal more quickly and have less pain. She also had a TPLO on her knee.  ABOUT RIBLETT Riblett, whom we affectionately call Roo, is a funny girl that likes to play catch until she sees you have treats, then she comes running and sits at your feet. Even in her older age, she still loves to run and play outside. Riblett needs to be the only pet in the home, but she would make the most adorable and incredible solo companion. She is one of the most sweet, loving dogs in the rescue- though that love only extends to people (not other dogs or cats). She will happily cuddle with you after a long day to make all your troubles disappear. The best thing about an older dog is that they come fully trained-no potty training, no crate training- all done for you. She loves her people and has been waiting a long time for a forever family to scoop her up and make her life complete! Story
Friends to the Forlorn Adopt-a-BullBreed: Pit Bull Terrier Gender: Male Estimated Date of Birth: August 26, 2012 Size:  50lbs Location:  Dallas, GA RESCUING STUBBS We first met Stubbs when he was 7 weeks old. He was brought to us for help as they thought his leg was broken. Stubbs was not one of our dogs, but we helped the Good Samaritan out by having our vet examine him. It turns out that Stubbs was born without an elbow. He has a deformed front leg that looks like a chicken wing and is not usable. His new 4-legged brother was not fond of him and we took him in as a Forlorn dog. ABOUT STUBBS Stubbs is a special boy. His deformed front leg does not slow him down – he can still climb stairs and zoom around the yard. He may suffer some arthritis in his other shoulder later in life due to having to keep his weight on that one leg. Our vet determined that there was no reason to remove his leg since it doesn’t bother him. Stubbs is a goofy boy. Stubbs can be untrusting of new men, but he loves human affection and he has done well with all the dogs that he has met at the Pit Bull Palace. Story
Friends to the Forlorn Adopt-a-Bull*APPLY TO FOSTER*Breed: Pit Bull Terrier Gender: Male Estimated Date of Birth: March 14, 2013 Size:  58 lbs Location:  Dallas, GA RESCUING ZETH Zeth came into Fulton County very sick and became one of their longest residents even though he was a shelter favorite and was hanging in the office with the girls. Zeth ended up on the euthanasia list and our good friend at Fulton put out a plea for him. She said Zeth has more personality than any dog she has ever met and she could not let him die in the shelter. ABOUT ZETH The shelter workers love to sing Zeths praises. Zeth is a complete character. His eyeliner is always on point. His head is way too large for his body. He enjoys stuffed animals and long trips to Petsmart. Zeth has never met a stranger. He is a pretty typical dog, and prefers to select his canine companions himself rather than be told whom he is required to tolerate. Throughout his stay at Fulton County, he made all the girls laugh with his RZF, Resting Zeth Face, and his silly antics. Zeth has a big head and an even bigger personality. The only thing Zeth truly hates is carrots. He does not care for watermelon, but peanut butter is yummy and cheese is his all-time favorite. He is great at taking treats gently. Zeth is very smart and wants to please his people. He will do anything for food, but is not that into toys. He already knows sit, no, outside, his name, and he is working on his leash manners as he tends to zig-zag a bit and pull at times. Zeth loves car-rides and will politely ride where ever you put him, quietly window watching until he gets sleepy, then he will lay down. He enjoys snuggling with his people and prefers to rest his head on you. If he's not snuggling, he is watching his humans in the house or chewing a bone. He is not much of a barker, but he can be incredibly silly like when he carries his food or water bowl around. Zeth loves affection and adores a good butt-scratch or ear rub. He is not a fan of baths or his crate, but we are working on acclimating him to both. He is house-trained and does not seem to be destructive in any way.  Zeth would prefer to be an only dog, however we think he may be okay with another submissive dog with a proper introduction. What Zeth wants the most is to be with his people. He loves all people of all shapes, sizes, appearances, and ages. Zeth would love an active family that will shower him with the love and affection he deserves. *Zeth is in need of a foster home - apply to foster today!* Photo Album of Zeth: https://www.facebook.com/pg/FriendsToTheForlornPitbullRescue/photos/?tab=album&album_id=2447133155344836 Our adoption fee is $300. Story
Diamond!! This girl is so full of personality.Diamond is 4  years old ( born  Oct 2020), about 60-70 lbs athletic built. She is a mixed breed. I see Pitty in her face but her long, tall kangaroo legs and longer thicker coat could possible be husky. She is good with most dogs, however her full of energy personality can be too much for some dogs.  She would also be okay as an only dog as long as she had plenty of toys to play with. No Cats!!! She is excited to see kids and will run to them. She gets very excited and would probably knock over a small kid easily. 8 years old and up would be preferred. She has periods where she is energetic and playful and other times where she Just want to snuggle and be nearby. She thrives with consistency, structure and routines. She loves to play with her puppy friends, chase tennis balls and brings them back, frolic with a stuffy and play tug of war with a rope, leash, or tutu. After ten mins she is ready to come inside to eat breakfast and be with the family. Inside she looks for where her people are hanging out and wants to be on the bed with you, laying at for feet while your are working, or just hanging out near by.She gets a treat each time she goes into her crate. Frozen peanut kongs for long hours the days the foster family goes to work. She will rest quietly in her crate until the foster family gets home. She requires a heavy duty crate to keep her contained. She would not be for someone that doesn’t believe in crate training or doesn’t use the crate properly. The crate is there to keep her safe while waiting for her family to come home! She enjoys her supervised fenced time/playtime and has learned to go to the gate and paws at it when she wants to come back inside. She loves car rides, she gets so excited seeing new things, just hops right in as soon as you open the door. We have spent a lot of time on leash walking. She still needs a little fine tuning and often times she will grab the middle of the leash in an effort to walk herself. Just part of her Diamond charm. Adoption fee is $300 Diamond is fully vetted: vaccines, spayed, microchipped, tested negative for heartworms. To fill out an application visit https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/33868/generic ##1183334##

Story
Dharma is very sweet and affectionate,  loves everyone she meets. This beautiful puppy is about 9-10 months old and full of playful energy. She is looking for a home with a fenced in Yard. She is very playful and would make a good companion for a playful dog. Dharma has been fine around a cat that is dog savy. She is perfectly crate trained and house trained, however, still very much a puppy and should not be left unattended with things you value, like shoes or Coffee. Dharma loves your coffee so be sure to keep it out of her reach. Dharma easily walks on leash and has her basic skills down. She is looking for a forever family that will continue to work with to fine tune her skills as she moves out of the puppy stage and into the adult stage of life. adoption fee $300 includes spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, and microchipped .To fill out an application visit https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/33868/generic ##2089371##

Story
Hi there, I’m Sky! I’m a 2-year-old, 58-pound beauty with a stunning mixed merle coat that will make you fall in love at first sight. I was brought to the shelter by my former family on 10/18/2024 because they couldn’t take care of me anymore, but I’m ready for a fresh start! I’m not spayed yet, but that will be taken care of upon my adoption, and all my shots are up to date. I’m not just beautiful on the outside—I’m super sweet and full of love. I’ve got my basics down, too: I know how to sit, stay, shake, and lay down like a pro! I’m great with kids and other dogs, and I’m housebroken, so I’ll be the perfect addition to your family. Come meet me at cage #107, ID 7036, and let’s start our new adventure together. I’m waiting for you! Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. Story
Meet handsome Polo! He arrived at the shelter as a lost boy on 10/28, and no one has come to reclaim him. Polo is keeping his paws crossed for a new, forever home where he will be loved and kept safe so that he never ends up back in the shelter. The volunteers describe Polo as an easy-going dog. He is a bit shy and quiet, and he also sits nicely for treats. We're betting once he finds a new family and is away from the loud, overwhelming shelter that his personality will really shine! If you have a soft spot for the shy kids, please come meet Polo. Polo is approximately 2 years old, and he weighs 65 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines, and he will be neutered, microchipped, and heartworm tested upon adoption. Polo is waiting in run 76; his ID # is 5866. Story
Marley is a rescue. He was in a gym bag with about 8 other litter mates, and was thrust into our hands. The mom had apparently stopped feeding him. We brought him home and bottle fed him until he was ready for chow/kibble. He is fully up to date on shots and is healthy. He is recently neutered and microchipped. He has been raised with a 4 yr old Boston Terrier, and plays appropriately with him. He is quite skittish, until he gets to know you, and is skidding around other dogs; however, NOT aggressive towards people or other dogs. He does bark at strangers, but does not try to bite. He requires more than what we can give him. His current living situation is with my parents: a mom who has Osteoporosis and scoliosis and my father who is handicap. Due to his playful nature, he has jumped on my mom causing her to fall twice. He is a very smart dog and knows a few commands, but needs someone who is patient, willing to work with him, give him a lot of snuggles. He needs rehoming immediately.
