Story
Junior is a 2 year old Pit/Hound mix. This sweet and energetic boy is all play, all the time! Junior is a goofy boy who hasn't had the best start to life. He came to us, skin and bones, with a deeply embedded collar. It's been a few months of giving Junior love and medical care, but he is finally ready for adoption! Junior currently still has a ring around his neck showing the scars from his past, but in time those will heal too. Junior is a very active boy and needs to find an active family. He has lots of youthful energy and needs to be able to have a yard to play in or regular visits to the park. We do not know how Junior does with other dogs, but we do not suggest him with small children. He can be a bit mouthy and also might knock them over without realizing it. Junior deserves a second chance at life, a chance where he can finally have the life he deserves! The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Kate is a female 6 month old Pit mix, who is sweet and playful - and ready to steal your heart! This little cutie may be a bit timid at first, but once she is away from the noisy kennel area and into the park, her joyful spirit shines! She will entertain you with her goofy puppy run and silly antics, especially when she is in a play group with other pups. And just when you think Kate couldn’t get cuter, she’ll go into your lap for a cuddle session. Though she was initially unsure of leash walking, she is quickly learning good leash manners thanks to some TLC from shelter volunteers. Now Kate is ready to keep learning with her forever family! And let’s talk about those eyes! Kate has the most mesmerizing gaze - sometimes her eyes look a cool blue and other times a soft green, making them impossible to resist. This beautiful pup is looking for a loving home where she can blossom into the perfect lifelong companion. So if you’re ready for a whole lot of love, fun and puppy cuddles, Kate is ready for you! Have you ever known a pit to love water? Well Hudson goes nuts for it! His favorite time of day is when we get the hose out to clean his cage. He loves it so much, he refuses to go inside and will hinder the techs from cleaning his cage so he can have some play time. If you look closely at his photos, you'll see he had some water time before his photo shoot! Hudson is a sweet boy who loves to play and would make the best late companion! He is good with other dogs and is fairly neat in his kennel. Hudson would thrive with a family who loves to go on adventures and go exploring. Come meet our boy!

Story
✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to ATL💟 Meet Mina💞 * Interaction with People: Likes people! Is shy initially with strangers but soon approaches them with affection and acts charming. Is not usually the type to approach first but does not shy away from contact, enjoying and accepting gentle touches. * Interaction with Dogs: Gets along well with other dogs. Is often the first to greet new dogs at the Center and welcomes those approaching her without reservation. Tolerates playful nips well from other dogs. Mingles with any dog without confrontation. * Separation Anxiety: It’s hard to determine because she is residing in a group at the Center. Appears content and relaxed even when alone. * Potty Training: Uses currently outdoors potty while living at the Center. Prefers outdoor potty but occasionally has potty accidents in her kennel when it is urgent. * Hygiene: Stays still while being touched by humans. Accepts baths and brushing nicely. Is patient enough to have her nail trimmed quietly once her paws are properly held. * Walks: Is currently under training because she does not feel comfortable at going for walk for now. There is no resistance to wear a collar or harness. Wears clothes well but takes them off promptly on her own maybe due to their tight feeling. 💌Special Notes💌 * Her skin discoloration should improve in a cleaner environment. * Though timid, Mina sometimes acts boldly. Her attraction is charm and smile even though her personality is somewhat cat-like. ❗Health Status❗ * Neutering: Done * Others: Microchipped, heartworm negative * Due to the muddy conditions at the Center, Mina’s legs have become discolored from constant contact with dirt. This has not affected her health or skin condition. * She is getting weekly medicated baths due to skin trouble presumably caused by allergies.

Hello. My name is London. My daughter and I fell in love with Smokey immediately. He is 10 months. He’s great with our cat and loves kids. Unfortunately we are having to move and he is 60 pounds. He’s over the acceptable weight limit for our new apartment. He has a 20 pound bag of food, shampoo, treats and a crate that will come with him so you don’t have to buy anything. His shots and heart worm medication are up to date as well. He is really sweet and loving. He’s a cuddler. Smokey is potty trained and understands some commands like sit, stay, and down. We are sad to see him go but I know a new family will love him.

Barney is a male, 4 year old Boxer mix, and is such a friendly boy! It is impossible not to smile around this boy, anything and everything makes him so happy and brings out his big smile (and will likely bring yours out too)! He has a funny way of letting his tongue hang out sideways, has crazy zoomies that will leave you giggling, and loves giving kisses! He’s great with other dogs and kids, and is very curious about kitties! Barney has the zoomies when first brought out, but chills out until you tell him he’s a pretty boy … and then he’s all tail wags and happy hops again! Barney is pretty good on a leash, and even though he pulls a little bit, he will follow your lead. He is eager to go walking, meet new people, or basically to do anything that you want to do. Story
Wendi is a one year old female Boxer mix, who has the cutest smile ever! She is quiet and low key while in her cage, which sadly makes it easy for her to be overlooked as potential adopters walk through her area. But once she is taken out on a leash, Wendi’s big smile and wiggles show just how happy she is to be taken on a walk with you! After her initial excitement of getting out, she calms down quickly and is good on a leash. We have noticed that she is way too interested in the feral cats at the shelter, so we feel a home without cats would suit her best.  Wendi seems to be a little camera shy, because as soon as the camera came out during her “photo shoot”, she avoided looking directly at it! Still, the pictures show her adorable way of posing in a Down position, with her back legs fully sprawled out behind her. This sweet girl would be so happy in her furever home with people to love, lots of toys, and a nice soft bed.
