He has a great personality and is a whole lot of fun.   You can see his enthusiasm and love of life in his expressive face!  Green Bean is also a little bit of a ham when there is a camera nearby.  He is a natural and just seems to strike a pose – often with a big smile as well.  Green Bean has a lot of energy and loves to run and play in the park.  He would do best in a home where he could get plenty of exercise and have space to run around.  He also needs a family that would be willing to train him and help him be the best dog that he can be!   The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Story
Meet Junior, a 2-year-old male Pit/Hound mix who is ready to bring boundless energy and joy into your life! This spirited boy is all about fun and play, and he is on a mission to make every day an adventure. Junior’s journey has not been easy—he came to us as a skinny, battered pup with a deeply embedded collar. After months of tender care and healing, Junior is now bursting with vitality and ready to find his forever home. Though Junior still sports a ring around his neck from his past, his resilient spirit shines through. He is an energetic bundle of joy who thrives on activity, so he is looking for an active family with a yard to run in or a schedule that includes regular trips to the park. Junior has made lots of friends here at the shelter and is a joy to have in our doggy play groups! He is very entertaining to watch playing with other dogs as they chase each other, roll around together, and play with toys. However Junior’s youthful exuberance means he might be a bit too boisterous for small children, as he can be mouthy and might inadvertently knock them over in his excitement. Despite his rough start, Junior is a loving, playful pup who deserves a second chance at a happy life. His zest for life and sweet, goofy personality makes him a fantastic companion for anyone ready to embrace his energy and enthusiasm. If you are looking for a loyal, lively friend who is eager to share endless fun and affection, Junior is the perfect match for you! Give this deserving boy the forever home he has been waiting for. Story
Dewayne is a 2.5 year old male Pit mix, and is a happy-go-lucky boy who can’t wait to meet you! This handsome guy is super happy while out on walks, and he shows it by strutting along with his adorable tail curled. Plus, he gives the biggest grins, as if he wants to share the joy with you … and believe us, his joy is contagious! Dewayne has expressive ears that range from bouncing while on walks, to flat down “seal ears” when grinning for the camera, to fully upright while he runs in the park. Dewayne can be strong on a leash when he first gets out of his cage, but it’s just his natural enthusiasm showing. After getting his initial energy out, he settles down and will follow your direction while walking. Dewayne loves his time in the fenced in park, where he enjoys a brief run to check out everything, followed by exploring any areas of interest. Dewayne also likes to chase toys, then playfully grab his favorite one and toss it in the air - he’s very entertaining to watch! This big pup is very sweet, friendly, and clearly loves being with people. Dewayne is so ready to find his people, the ones who will give him a great home filled with love. In return, he will provide you with happiness and loyal companionship to brighten your life. Please meet Dewayne soon! Little miss Nova here is a very sweet girl. She isn't sure about coming up to you, but always accepts love when you come to her! She is a little picky when it comes to her food. When she first came here, she would only eat canned food. We have gotten her to eat some dry kibble, but every so often, she decides she is a princess and demands the princess treatment! Speaking of princess treatment, she informed us she would love to be treated like a princess and promises to be a faithful passenger princess! All she requests is a nice comfy bed in her seat and she's good to go!

Jaxon was adopted by my family from a family friend who had too many puppies and offered him to us. He will turn 4 years old on July 27. Jaxon is a Labrador-Pitbull mix, and he’s been a wonderful addition to our home. Jaxon is very playful and gets excited often, bringing so much joy to our lives. He loves to play fetch in the yard and go on long walks, and he has a special talent for making everyone smile with his goofy antics. He’s incredibly loving and truly just a big baby at heart. Jaxon is also very food motivated, which makes training sessions a lot of fun! In a new home, I’m looking for a loving family who can give him plenty of attention and exercise. Jaxon thrives on companionship and loves to be around people.

We got Rockie from my cousin who was moving into a smaller place. Rockie is the sweetest puppy. He loves kids and everyday he waits for the kids to come through the door from school. He loves attention and spending time with the family. Although we love Rockie our schedule is going to be very busy and don’t want to leave him home for too long. He’s very affectionate and needs a family who is receptive . He loves playing fetch and laying next to the fire place. We would love for him to be a home where he is loved.

Story
Joan is a female Boxer mix, who is about 10 months old. She came in to the shelter with several siblings, and currently lives with her brother Topher in the same pen together. Joan is much more shy than her brother, and typically lets him greet people first when they approach their pen. Soft treats and gentle words will usually help Joan warm up to someone new. Most of all, this super sweet girl simply needs time to learn to trust a new person. And once she does, Joan will absolutely adore you! It’s at that point that her precious and oh-so-lovable personality shines out. Joan has been a little unsure about leash walks, but volunteers are working with her such that she is quickly learning that the leash results in wonderful things. She is young and eager to please, so will thrive in a home wanting to provide additional training to let her blossom into an even more amazing companion. If you’re ready to welcome a beautiful pup full of love into your life, Joan is eagerly waiting to start your life together! Be sure to meet this precious girl soon!
