(A meet and greet with any potential furry siblings is recommended)-Has not been cat tested-Little Mama came in with who we believe to be is her sibling and another adult dog. All dogs were chained to dog houses out of sight covered in overgrown grass and weeds. All three dogs were malnourished and neglected. Can you imagine living your whole life chained to a doghouse and just getting enough food and water for your suffering to continue??? That was her reality.Little Mama has a good heart and is a sweet dog, but life before the shelter was not good. She needs a patient home who understands her past and is willing to work with her to allow her to learn what it means to be a dog who is loved by their family. Could that family be with you?(Little Mamas intake date is 6.17.23)If you think Little Mama could be the perfect addition to your family, please call 912-554-7500, send an email animalservices@glynncounty-ga.gov, or visit 190 Carl Alexander Way, Brunswick, GA 31525

She has a lot of energy and loves to play. She is dog selective, but that doesn't mean she isn't willing to make new friends. Don't pass up this wonderful girl! If you think she would fit into your home, please fill out an application. This gorgeous girl deserves a chance in a home of her own and to get the love and attention she deserves.

Story
Red Dog has been at the rescue for over 2 1/2 years now without interest. He has a story below, but this boy is so deserving of love. When volunteers are are at the rescue, he readily greets them for attention, he always wants to play, and while he can be shy at first, he is a total sweetheart that doesn't deserve to live his life at the rescue. He's a total weirdo, but the best type of weirdo. Read his original story below and maybe take a chance on this overlooked boy. My name is Red Dog. I was pulled from Long County Animal Control on the euthanasia list. Due to being absolutely scared to death. I am an absolutely stunning terrier mix. I will need a very patient person to welcome me into their home. He may not be the dog to run and jump in your lap the first time I meet you, but once I get to know you I am the most annoying and playful guy ever. I was horribly abused before coming to SGER. It took time and love for them to earn my trust. Now I run around with 30 to 40 dogs and can stay out on the farm unattended and not bother a soul. I just play with my toys or my friends. We are working on Red dog and a harness as he gets very scared when restricted because it seems that was when someone hurt him. But he is much better and learns fast and is very food motivated. He can play a little rough and jump some when he likes you but all of those things take time to stop as we don't get onto him too much as not to scare him back into the scared guy when he came. He is fixed, HW negative and house broke.

Awww...sweet Chester is a bulldog mix with HAPPY HAPPY FEET! He is just a bundle of sunshine, despite being starved and left wandering the streets. He is still the happiest boy whenever he hears any human. Chester is blind. We do not know what happened but he was found alone in the streets wondering bumping into things and almost hit by a car. No owners came forward for him. Chester is playful and good with kids. His foster home has a 5 year old boy who he loves to give sloppy kisses! His foster home has multiple dogs whose only impact is causing his tail to wag. He is very active still pulls on the leash, especially when he hears someone, because he knows they need to be his friend (even if they don't know it yet). This boy deserves a loving home. Rocco loves to play with toys! You throw a ball and he will quickly run his chunky little butt after it. Everyone who is around him is greeted with a happy pittie wiggle butt and he tries to give you kisses to your face! This old boy deserves homes where he can live comfortably on a couch in his older years. He deserves endless pets, treats, and toys to keep him happy. This boy will love you unconditionally if you will give him a chanceRocco has been dealt a bad hand at this life. He deserves humans that will love him for his sweet soul because he is the biggest baby and just loves to be loved. He is a solo dog though or gets along with the ladies. Adopter would need to be patient and loving...this pup had spent 9 years on a chain. Every night he prays for his FURever family to give him a Happily Ever After.Rocco loves to play with toys! This old boy deserves homes where he can live comfortably on a couch in his older years. He deserves endless pets, treats, and toys to keep him happy. This boy will love you unconditionally if you will give him a chance.Rocco deserves a second chance in this life. He was a breeding dog with a life chained up. He is a pit mix. He is 11 almost 12 years old, and has been at the rescue for awhile now. Rocco was found as a stray in Jesup after being hit by a car. He had a bad laceration on his front leg, broken teeth and a dislocated hip. We found his owner, who agreed to take him back. SGER decided to let him stay with us until he was all healed up and surgeries done. He has remained at SGER ever since.

We have set up an appointment to fix mom who is just a mixed breed black lab mix who loves to play fetch. These puppies are so super sweet with a wonderful happy disposition and tons of love to give. Story
Tink Tink is a love bug sweetheart that gets along with all dogs she meets, is loving and gentle with people, and just all around a great girl. She had a rough start at the beginning of her life (read story below), but she has been at the rescue for so long and we would love for her to find her forever home like her siblings did. Tink and her 6 siblings were dropped off after we were called and lied to about the circumstances. They told us they were driving and found 8 puppies and a mom with dried up milk under an abandoned boat. Of course I wasn't going to turn down babies in need so even though we were full I said bring them. As we pull into the rescue, he was getting in his car...he never made eye contact just left. Which at that point I knew something wasn't right. I found out why. He had not brought 8 babies and a mom. He brought 7 babies and no mom at all. Barely 3 weeks old, covered in fleas and ticks and hungry. We had to teach them how to eat and drink from a bowl as they were still so young. They are thriving and some are ready to start looking for their new homes. Some need a couple extra weeks as they are on the smaller side and have some catching up to do! They are we believe a bulldog mix of some kind. Very cute and sweet. They are calm and funny and love to play. They should be around 45 pounds give or take. If you think one if these beautiful babies would be a good addition to your family please fill out the application at sgerinc.com to get started. We are a 501c3 non profit rescue.Your information in our application is not shared and is protocol for adoption.
