Story
This is Ray and he is a very skittish sweetheart. I am moving across the country and sadly unable to take him with me. He was found during a storm when he was about a year old. Nervous nelly should be his name, but loving is his game. He gets along with other dogs and children once he is no longer afraid of them. He deserves the right home to understand his needs but once he is settled his silly sweet side comes out in full swing. He loves chasing bees and anything that flies. Very active but does not fetch yet. He has heartworms and is currently on a slow kill method because he is such an active pup. I am willing to supply the years worth of medications if the right home is found. It breaks my heart to let him go but I believe he will be an amazing addition to the right family. I have all health records as well as DNA testing results

Story
Tank came to us 8 years ago and he is 11 years old. He had been tied up outside for four years. When the owner decided he didn't want Tank any longer, he stopped feeding him so that he would starve to death.  When Tank came to us, he was 30 pounds underweight, malnourished, and severely heartworm positive. He was such a sweet, loving boy. It didn't seem possible that he could have been treated so poorly and still have faith in humans. But he does! We treated him for heartworms and then found out that he had mast cell cancer. After two surgeries, Tank remains cancer free.  Tank needs a foster or furever home! He is a 6 year old, American Bulldog mix. He is a 75 lap dog! He loves people. Tank is very happy just to spend time with his person(s). He loves to ride in the car. His issue is that he is dog aggressive. He can't be around other animals.  Tank is looking for a home that has a fenced yard. He would need to be the only animal. Tank is very strong, so it would be necessary for his new parents to be available to work with him on a leash. We are very willing to provide training for him.  Tank has stolen all of our hearts. He needs us now. Please, let's not let him down. If you know someone who maybe a good human for Tank, please pass this information along.    ##133156##

Story
Vince is an old soul. He is gentle and kind. Something about watching him lying in the backyard, ears in the breeze, wind chimes in the distance, head tilted up calmly snoofling the sky, it will heal a part of your soul. That’s what Vince has been doing over these past couple months. Healing and growing. He has come so far since we pulled him from the shelter in May and he has learned all about the ins and out of home life in his amazing foster home. Vince can still get spooked by loud/sudden moving things, but every day he gets braver and braver. Vince always checks in with his people for reassurance and all the love you are willing to give. He is quite the snuggler. Vinny also loves other dogs, so much so we are looking for a forever home for him with another dog in it, as his confidence sky rockets with another dog to guide him. Vince loves tug of war, water sprinkles and a good ol’ romp in the backyard. After a day of being adorable he will put himself to bed all by himself, judging the rest of the family for staying up later than him with a side eye before he leaves the room. He even has a tent he has made into his own little cozy getaway. Vinny is a good guy ready to find his forever home. He is the kind of guy who buys you AND your single bestie a gift on Valentine’s Day. Need we say more?? It is easy to love Vinny. He will make you feel like the most special person in the world. Story
UF-OH no! How is Invader Zim still up for adoption? Zim is a total GOOF and the more jokes we make about him being alien creature more than dog the more we believe it. His walk is more of a forever happy dance the way he tippy taps and wiggles about, and he keeps his personality right in his ears - they just can’t decide whether they want to stay up or flop down and it changes throughout the day. This sweet, snuggley boy came from a rough past. He was thrown over a shelter fence overnight covered in scabs and scarring, he even has a prominent scar around his whole neck, we can only guess from being tied up for long periods of time. He was literal skin and bones, weighing only 19lbs. Fast forward to now, almost two months later and Zim is a healthy 34lbs! He has gone from shy and unsure of some things to having not a care in the planet! Zim has gone to events where he is the star of the show, being both equal measures of calm, playful, and charming to everyone he meets. This alien creature is the whole package. He is dog, cat and kid friendly. He is crate and house trained and knows basic commands. Zim is estimated two years old, but has the eternal look and temperament of a little puppy boy. Zim wakes up in the morning and the first thing he does is find a toy, most times he has one in his mouth before he is out the door for his morning bathroom break. Zim LOVES toys, and a fresh toy box to nose around in and spread around the house is one of life’s greater gifts to Zim. It’s a real toss up on whether Zim loves his toys or rough and tumbling with his dog friends more. When he isn’t looking for a toy he is jumping full body onto his foster sister, mostly he is doing both at the same time. He and his foster sister alternate between epic play battles and couch snoozes all throughout the day, and his ideal home would have a dog friend who wants to play as much as he does. Just like the little baby alien creature he is, when he is all worn out he is the sleepiest, cutest little puppy, and he will snooze with his nose tucked right up in your neck. Invader Zim says, “take me to your home!” (really trying with the alien puns guys) November 17, 2024, 4:50 pm
