Story
Hope is being fostered in LA. Hope is a sweet and happy girl. She does have some vision loss. Hope is fit, healthy and a very loyal pup full of energy and love. She is ready to fill your days with adventure and nights with cuddling. Hope is looking for a daytime exercise partner with whom she can run, play with toys, engage in games of catch, tug of war and sometimes long silly leaps just for fun. In the evening a snuggle buddy is in order so she can cuddle close with her head on the lap of her human. Hope is very loyal and loving to her person. This sweetheart is well behaved and very likeable. She does well on a leash and is really great about going to her kennel when asked. Hope enjoys meeting new people and they, her. She is so adored at the vets office that they treat her like the “Belle of the Ball” giving her all kinds of special attention and loving. Hope, with all her positive qualities is still a youngster and often doesn’t know her own strength, so she can sometimes play rough. Slow introductions would be best. She plays well with most dogs, but prefers unassertive canine friends and would do well in a home without small children or cats. (Transports within 18 hours travel time are available to approved adopter.) BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Story
Hi! I am Gatsby a 2yr old, 45 lb, Pit mix looking for my forever family.  I am UTD, neutered, microchipped, house trained, crate trained, and a super duper smart/eager to please boy.  I was born in the woods and spent the first two months of my life living out in the wild so because of that, I need a special home.  I am basically fearful of people and you can not just walk up to me and pet me, I need to get to know you will not hurt me first.  Because of that, we want to find an adopter who will be patient and will continue working with his trainer, this will be included with his adoption at no extra cost.  So living in the Orlando area is best.  Once I know and trust you I am your best friend and I will give you my heart and soul!!!   I currently live with a pack of pups and I do great with dogs after proper introductions.  I have been through training and boarding at the facility to help with my social skills and confidence.   I have seen cats before and would likely do well with a confident one if you teach me how to live with them. A home without small kids would be ideal, only because I am still learning to not be so scared of things and they can be fast and noisy.  I can't wait to find my forever family, could it be you? Adoption requirements are as such:  A loving family with older kiddos to be his cuddle buddy, ball thrower, and adventure pal Fenced in yard  Willingness to do training sessions (covered by the rescue)  No apartments   Please note, Gatsby is part of Happy Trails Animal Rescue’s rehoming program. He has not been tested or evaluated and the information gathered is from the current owner’s personal statements regarding health and temperament. The owner is subject to placement outside of our organization. We cannot guarantee availability.  Adoption fee REDUCED: $75 ##1628060##

Story
Sweet senior Lola is 9 years old and looking for a snuggly retirement home. She loves, loves, loves people of all ages and is sweet, polite and social. She has lived with kitties before and done very well. She currently lives with a Chihuahua and does well, she does best with small, calm other dogs but will still need a slow, proper introduction to another dog. She would also thrive as a spoiled only dog. She would not do well with rambunctious, overenthusiastic other dogs. She likes her furry friends calm and polite like her.  Adoption fee $150, Lola is spayed and current on vaccines. ##2144643##

Story
Sundae is a friendly dog whose owner was incarcerated, and she was abandoned at a reporter’s house where she gave birth. All of her puppies have been adopted and of course, Sundae is left behind looking for a forever home. She had a near death experience with a severe case of pneumonia when we first pulled her from the shelter. Sundae has recovered, and is now healthy and thriving. She is extremely sweet and loves to play. She's on the smaller side for her breed at about 35 pounds fully grown. Despite being a former mother, she is a puppy at heart. She desires walks and play-time in the yard. She gets along with other dogs but does not do well with cats. Sundae has a high prey drive. She is easily trainable and listens well. She needs to be spayed before she can officially be adopted which is scheduled for January. She is looking for a foster to adopt home in the meantime. If you would like to adopt Sundae, please apply and submit an application to be considered. https://www.charliescornersanctuary.com/adopt ##2213522##
