Story
This handsome guy is Jedidiah, Jed, Jeddy, and handsome bo-bandsome (as his foster mom calls him.) Jed is a VERY sweet and intelligent guy who is almost 2 years old. Despite his age on paper, this guy is VERY much a puppy trapped inside a big kid body. He is re-learning what it is like to be in a house, and with other dogs after being in the shelter for many months. He does great with going potty outside and is completely crate trained. However, we are still working on jumping, not using shoes and other household items as chew toys, as well as basic home manners. This guy is SO receptive to corrections and redirections and will be very easy to train into your routine. Because this big guy thinks he is a puppy, we recommend a home with bigger kiddos only who are used to having bigger dogs until he can curb his jumping even more. BUT he LOVES everyone he meets and is just a bundle of love. Jed would do well with a submissive female dog who is ready to keep up with his playful energy. He has a lot of love and fun to give, so a dog who enjoys playtime and doesn’t mind being the "leader" would be ideal. He loves the cat, but again does not realize his size, so he may be a little intimidating for cats (unless you have one ready to hand out a correction). All in all, Jedidiah is a true good boy through and through. He just needs a family ready to give him a little bit of consistency and TLC, and we promise he will give you a lifetime of love back! ##2191568##

Story
Skipper is a sweet, 1-year-old terrier mix who is still settling into her new home and learning to trust the world around her. Though she’s a little nervous at first, once she gets comfortable, she’s a playful and affectionate pup who loves to wag her tail and enjoys the company of other dogs. She’s particularly food-motivated, which makes training and bonding a breeze! Skipper prefers to eat in her kennel, away from other dogs, so you’ll often find her happily munching away in her quiet space. She’s also learning how to ask to go outside, though she’s had a few accidents in the house while figuring out the routine. With a little patience and understanding, Skipper is on her way to becoming a well-behaved and loving companion. Skipper is very interested in cats, but she means them no harm—she’s just curious and will chase after them if they run. If you catch her in the act and tell her “NO,” she listens well, though her curiosity can still be a bit of a problem when the cats need some peace. While Skipper can be shy around new people, she’s a fast learner and appreciates a calm approach. She’s a little unsure of her current human dad, but once he got down to her level and offered an open hand, she warmed up quickly. Skipper is more comfortable with other dogs and loves to play outside with them, but she’s still building confidence when it comes to people. She’s a sensitive soul who enjoys chin scratches but doesn’t like being petted from above. Sudden movements can startle her, so it’s best to approach her gently and give her the time she needs to feel safe. If you’re looking for a playful, sweet-natured dog who just needs a little time and space to build trust, Skipper might be the perfect match for you. She’s ready to join a family that will give her the patience and love she deserves while helping her grow into the confident, affectionate dog she’s meant to be! ##2231936##

Story
Pickles is a Pitbull, Staffordshire terrier, American Bulldog, Boxer, Great Dane mix. So.. all the big lovey pups in one! And it really shows! Pickles is being fostered with 2 male dogs (1 medium, 1 large,) teens, and a toddler (1.5yo) and fits right in with everyone. He is a VERY smart pup and extremely motivated to learn. He has learned sit, stay, off, and how to play fetch in less than a week! He is currently working on walking on leash without a lead and how to show he needs to go out for potties (no accidents inside though!) He loves to play outside and he does not shy away from a good game of chase! While outside he can be very energetic and loves to show off and is a big talker, but he is very calm while indoors. He will play a game of tug o war with the other dogs and roll a ball around on the hard wood, but he mostly just wants to snuggle. He is kennel trained and sleeps in his own bed with no issues. Pickles loves to cuddle, give lots of kisses, and follow his person wherever they go! If you're looking for a loyal, snuggly, smart bestie, Pickles is your guy! ##2231939##

Story
Max is a total lovebug who’s ready to fill your home with cuddles and charm. This sweet boy is a quick learner—he’s already mastering the dog door and knows how to “sit” like a pro! He’s the ultimate snuggle companion and will happily curl up next to you for some quality downtime. Max has done great with cats so far, giving them a curious sniff and then going about his business. Stairs, on the other hand, are still a bit intimidating for him, but with some encouragement, he’ll conquer those in no time! Potty training? Almost there! He’s had a few marks but seems to have the basics down. Oh, and a fair warning—Max has legendary gas, but it’s just part of his charm (and easily overlooked when you see how lovable he is). If you’re looking for a winner who’s equal parts affectionate, intelligent, and hilarious, Max might just be your perfect match. Come meet this sweetheart and let him win you over! ##2254726##

Story
Precious Hank is desperately waiting for his forever family. He has had a rough start in life, being abandoned & left wandering the streets. He was picked up & brought to a local shelter. His time there was limited so we pulled him & the rest is history. Hank is 5 years old, very sweet & affectionate. He loves to cuddle up on the couch. Hank has a wobbly gait & limited mobility due to having a spinal condition, T3L3 myelopathy. This condition does not stop him from having fun, however, he requires the Help Em' Up harness to give him more support. Hank can enjoy short walks. He also requires daily pain medication. Hank is up to date on vaccines, neutered, & healthy. Hank gets along with doggies, but needs to be with dogs who will not be overly playful due to his spine. Hank also gets along with kitties as well, but needs to eat separately from animal siblings. Hank would do best with older kids who are respectful. Hank is located In NY. transportation will be provided. Please send an email to fanabalasanctuary@gmail.com for an application. * INDOOR HOME ONLY.
