Story
Rocco is a 1 year old American pit bull, he is great dog that loves to play tug of war and cuddles in the morning. He loves all people and warms up to other dogs quickly. We would love to see Rocco go to a home that has more time than we are able to give him. He takes to training pretty well as he knows some basic commands like sit, lay down, and wait. He is kennel trained and can generally last 5/6 hrs. Rocco has a bunch of energy and would do well in a very active household. He walks very easy. He is currently working through some back issues that needs medication twice a day. This medication makes him very thirsty and subsequently will need to be let out often to avoid messes in the house.

Story
Lady, affectionately known as Peppa Pig (or just Pig😉) is a happy-go-lucky, snorty, sweet 4 to 5 year old pit bull terrier. She loves to play in the water, zooming around the yard, and be with her people. She is crate trained and house trained. She responds well to training and is eager to please. She walks well on a leash and loves to be outside to get her sniffs and snorts in. She loves going to daycare and all of her people at daycare. She loves a routine and knowing what to expect. When she first came into rescue, she was very afraid of new people and situations and became pretty shut down. Since being in a foster home, she has gained confidence and has really started to blossom. She is learning that life is GOOD, and she doesn't need to be afraid. She is a sweet, sweet, goofy girl, and she can be talked through things when she is unsure instead of growling. We would like to see her in a home with a strong leader that will continue to keep her safe, that she can trust to be in charge. She is a strong girl at 78 pounds, especially if she is unsure of a person, another dog, or her surroundings. For this reason, we are recommending that for now she be an only dog and no children in order to keep everyone safe and keep her on the path to success. We would love to talk with a forever home about her and answer questions. This beautiful girl is so sweet and full of love. She is ready to have a furever home.

Story
Cinnamon is a true Heinz 57! She is a sweet girl, around 9 months old, and 30 lbs. She loves to play ball, take long walks and snuggle. She will sleep on your lap or next to you. She is fully house trained, but can't free roam yet, since she is a puppy, and will chew on things she shouldn't. She is smart and understands when you tell her no. She can be vocal when she wants to play, or she is hungry. She sits and waits for food and takes snacks gently. She is good with the three dogs and cat in her foster home. She has no prey drive for chickens, and made friends with the neighbor's pigs. Sadly this sweet girl came to us very fearful. She has come a long way, is very sensitive. and still learning to trust humans. She is looking for a home where she will be loved, will get the patience she needs, and show her that there are good people in this world. She has come a very long way and she will continue to improve. She really wants a person of her very own and a furever home. She needs a home without small children, but would be ok with teens who are experienced dog owners and respectful. She would love to live with other dogs but would be fine as an only dog. She would be a great companion for someone looking for a best friend. If you think that is you, please apply for her and come and meet her at her foster home in Loveland. She is available through Big Bones Rescue. Apply for her today!

Story
Debbie is a beautiful and sweet momma, and guessed to be a 3 yr old Pitbull around 51 lbs. This beauty came in recently from CA with her 5 pups. Her pups are old enough to be on their own and getting adopted. Now it’s her turn! Debbie really enjoys human attention and also gets along with calm dogs. ! When in the play yard, she is more interested in crawling in laps, getting back rubs, and scratches from the volunteers, than playing. She has young girl energy but does pretty good on leash once she calms down. She is a very sweet girl, who 8s continuing to advance in her social skills. She obviously has never had a loving home before and is here in CO to find one! Come and meet her today.

Story
Meet Van Gogh! A sweet goofball from Mississippi. He’s 5 years old, and sadly he ended up with Big Bones when his owner passed away unexpectedly, leaving him without a home. He loves all people, but he is a true Daddy's Boy! (His previous owner was a man). He’s neutered, kennel trained, and potty trained. He loves hanging out in the sun and chasing toys, and really appreciates a belly rub and a nice warm blanket to sleep with. He’s dog and cat-friendly. VanGogh is good in the house, and can be a great couch potato! He is very playful when other dogs are around, so a home with a playmate would be ideal. Or with someone who will take him on the occasional romp at the dog park. He hopes to find a new family to live out his golden years with! He is heartworm-positive, but has started treatment already and is fully paid for by a sponsor. Apply if you are interested in meeting your next hiking and Netflix buddy!! He is being fostered in Denver.
