Story
Hi! I’m Trixie! I’m one of Sally’s babies — my mom, my siblings, and I were living under a shed until a very kind human helped dig us out and bring us somewhere safe . Mom took such good care of us but boy is it nice to be living indoors! Whew!  We have the best life and feel so lucky to be rescued. Life is good and my days consist of romping with my siblings, napping, choosing which toy to play with and eating nutrious puppy food.  My foster parents are not quite sure what breeds I am. It's kind of a mystery because my mom is a 20-25 pound scruffy terrier dog. There are pictures of her on my profle. I look nothing like her so I guess I must take after my dad - whoever he was. My pudgy face and stocky build indicate I might have some bulldog in me. I'm a rez dog so I have many different kinds of breeds for sure. I’ am a pretty mellow puppy but I do enjoy zoomies, snuggles, and stealing hearts wherever I go. I’m still a puppy, so I’m learning everything. . With patience, love, and positive training, I’m going to grow into the best kind of companion: loyal, fun, and always happy to see you. My perfect home is one that understands puppies take time, guidance, and lots of encouragement. I promise to repay you with wiggly excitement, silly moments, and kisses you didn’t ask for  I was born around December 6, 2025. If you’re ready for a little chonk with a big heart, I think we might be perfect together. Love, Trixie If you would like to adopt please apply at https://www.circle2rescue.com/dog-adoption-application/  The adoption fee of $350 includes the spay/neuter, vaccinations, deworming and microchip.   ##2641889##

Story
Georgie is about 1.5 yo. We adopted her from Humane Colorado in May 2025 hoping she would be a good companion dog to my other dog. She is incredibly affectionate & loving with people, including my 2 young nieces, but unfortunately she is not good with my other dog, which is my reason for rehoming her. I believe she would be best in a home without other dogs or small animals. She does have some reactive tendencies & resource guarding issues with other dogs. She is very food motived & attached to her humans. She came to us with some fears, some of which she has adjusted to well (i.e. she was terrified of car rides when she came to us but has gotten over that fear). She does very well in a crate. She does well at the vet. She loves walks & has done well camping with us. She would benefit from more training. It kills me to have to rehome her, but it has become unfair to my other dog to keep her around. She truly is a sweet dog that wants nothing more than to be loved.

Puppies are a lot of fun, but also a lot of responsibility! Things you should be aware of before adopting a puppy from the Denver Animal Shelter:* Puppies will need regular socialization. The critical time period for socialization is between 8 and 16 weeks, but it is important to continue to socialize your new pup throughout their young life. This means having positive and enjoyable interactions with as many new people, new dogs, and new environments as possible. Appropriate socialization will help puppies grow into healthier and more social adults.* They will not know what is appropriate to chew on, where they should go to the bathroom, and how to behave in all situations. Puppies require a lot of time spent on training, management, and supervision. It is recommended that puppies be crate trained or kept in a puppy-proofed room of the house with appropriate chew toys and enrichment when not actively supervised. The Denver Animal Shelter always recommends positive reinforcement-based training methods. * Puppies in a shelter environment often have unknown parentage. While we make our best guesses on size and breed, we cannot guarantee their adult temperament, behavior, size, or characteristics.

This handsome guy is a young, very snuggly, affectionate pup who truly just wants to love and be loved. He’s a little nervous in new situations, but once he feels safe, his loving personality really shines. He seems to understand basic commands and is eager to please. He’s playful and energetic, lights up when a toy comes out, and happily gives lots of kisses. He does great in the car, gets along well with other dogs, and is a good eater. He’s mostly potty trained and continuing to make great progress, and he loves being close to his humans — a clingy cuddlebug in the best way. If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle companion with youthful energy and a big heart, this sweet boy could be the perfect match. ##2632007##
