Meet Ricky, a happy, friendly guy who would love to be your new best friend! He’s an outgoing young dog who stays close and likes attention from people. He enjoys pets and hanging out with you. He was good being handled all over and shows no signs of guarding food. Ricky was a little pushy at first when meeting a male cattle dog but then played in a friendly manner. He pulls moderately on leash, so he could use some continued leash and obedience training. Ready to add some fun and laughter to your home? Ricky’s the dog for that and more! Tyson is a friendly dog who loves attention and is eager to engage, greeting people with a wagging tail. Tyson has been working on his leash skills, as he is strong and was initially pulling in different directions. He’s comfortable being handled all over and has a playful side, picking up toys and engaging in tug. Tyson was responsive when asked to release the toy. Tyson met another male dog, and was initially tense, though tolerant of the other dog`s less than polite behaviors. Tyson almost initiated play, though he was still unsure. Tyson would thrive in a home with continued training and socialization to help him build confidence and further develop his social skills.

Rocco is an 8 yr old Neutered Pitty who was neglected by previous owner. Time and time again these amazing dogs show us what it truly means to be resilient, forgiving, and oh so grateful. Rocco is a total sweetheart and seems to have a mellow disposition. Rocco is recovering from his neuter, and we heard from the vet that everyone there fell head over heels for him! He's so easy going that even with the dreaded cone, he doesn't seem to mind it too much for now. We can't wait to get to know this sweet guy a little bit more as he settles in, but so far, there is absolutely nothing not to love!

My name is King. I'm a very handsome boy looking for a new home! I came to Marine Humane because my first family could no longer keep me due to a housing situation.   I am a good deal trained. I know how to sit, stay, lie down, and shake. Even though I love to eat, I do not hoard food. I will sit patiently while you prepare my food and my foster brother and I eat close to each other. I am crate trained and will let you know with gentle whines when I need to go potty.   I have only had one family since I was a pup. My first family were of the older human age and could only take me on walks, but no parks. I did meet other dogs during walks, but it was only nose-to-nose, no play time. Because I have had little interaction with other dogs I am still learning how to socialize.   My foster brother is showing me how to respect dog boundaries. I still do not totally understand boundaries and that can be rough on other animals that like their space or are smaller than me. My foster father has to gently introduce me to new foods but once I know it is food I will eat anything. I recently discovered peanut butter and I am still learning how to get treats from a kong toy. Right now, everything seems new to me, and I get very excited. But once I get familiar, I like to just lie down and relax. Because a lot of things are still new, I don't always know how to react. I get very excited and this can be difficult for some. I know I look big and can be too rough sometimes, but I just want to show love. I know with patience and care I will be the best dog for you.  Adoption Center: (415) 506-6225 The Marin Humane Society 171 Bel Marin Keys Blvd., Novato, California 94949 Email: adoptions@marinhumanesociety.orgOctober 27, 2024, 11:17 pm
