Blue is an absolute sweetheart of a dog with a gentle temperament and excellent manners. He knows all of the basic commands, is a great walker on leash, and gets along well with all dogs. When Blue first came into the shelter, he was very timid of his surroundings and severely emaciated. IVHS staff and volunteers have nourished Blue back to good health, and he now is able to participate in daily dog playgroups and gets to visit local spots through the Doggie Daycation program. Most recently, Blue was taken out by a volunteer group from Double Tree Hilton in Ontario, and got to go on a trip to a local park where he got the zoomies as soon as he hit the grassy area. Peaches is just the sweetest. Her foster truly saved her, rescuing her on her last day at the shelter. At 55 lbs, she is a full-grown love bug. She is quiet and respectful. She is not bother by other dogs on walks and keeps to herself. She hasn't been out of the shelter long, so is recovering from fly bites on her ears, but the vet expects a full recovery. She is very friendly and would make an awesome companion.

I found Bruno while driving to the dog park. He was walking through a dirt field which would’ve led to a busy street. As soon as I walked up to him, he army crawled up to me with his tail wagging, smiling, and rubbed all over me wanting to be pet. I have taken him to my vet and he is updated on all of his shots and got a general health exam in which the vet stated he is a healthy dog. The vet believes he is somewhere between 5 and 7 years old and weighs 68 pounds. He does well with my dog who is also a pit bull. I am looking to find him a home that can give him the love, affection, and attention he needs and deserves as the conditions he was living in before do not seem that they were the best. He’s great with kids as well and essentially would love a home where he can just hangout and sleep but also have a walk or two as well as some play time. Bruno is a gentle, sweet, and loving boy who deserves a forever home!

I’m looking to re-home my dog, Jupiter, a sweet American Bully/Pit Bull Terrier mix. Due to housing issues, I can no longer keep him. My wife and I adopted Jupiter after rescuing him from a neglectful breeder who was planning to surrender him because of his size. Jupiter is a loving dog, but he can be a handful due to his breed and size, so he needs an experienced owner with plenty of time. He’s kennel trained, house trained, and loves lounging on the couch. He’s mostly an indoor dog but can manage outdoors. Currently, he lives with three other dogs and does well with our 1-year-old, though I monitor their play. Jupiter knows basic commands but hasn’t had formal training. He needs someone with time, experience, and space to roam. Unfortunately, due to our housing situation, it’s become increasingly difficult to find a landlord that will accept him, so we need to find him a new home.
