Story
Meet Maya the pitt-o-potomus! She’s a fun loving and active dog, looking for her forever home. If you’re looking for a wiggly friend to cuddle with, she’s your girl. She’s happy to lounge on a comfy bed at home, or go for a run, but the best thing about Maya is that she always gives you something to smile about. She’s good around people and cats. But due to her fear of other dogs they require a proper introduction. She also has some resource guarding with food/toys with other dogs, so her ideal home would be one with her as the only dog. She is crate trained, treadmill trained, house trained, and knows all her basics including sit, down, recall, and how to walk on leash (although the excitement sometimes gets in the way of that one). Discounted continued training is available through RaisingK9s Dog Training who houses her best puppy pal available for play dates and fun. Her adoption fee is $350and includes her spay, microchip and current vaccinations. To fill out an adoption application, visit https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SSP-A-846 To follow Maya on her journey to a loving family on SPOT's Facebook page, visit https://facebook.com/spotsavespets/ and on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/spotsavespets/

Jack is a sweet shy boy , but also super excited about all the life he's never lived. He was picked up as a stray by animal control, he was really nervous coming up to new people but is slowly warming up. He is learning manners, leash skills and all things dog related that he never had a chance to learn. He even loves to play fetch ! He is totally potty trained as well!

How this pet arrived: Asa was brought in by her previous owner on August 18, 2024. Why this pet is the one for you: Meet Asa, a total sweetheart with so much love to give! This affectionate girl melts the moment you start petting her, and might even try to crawl right into your lap for extra cuddles. She'll do just about anything for a belly rub, making her the ultimate snuggle buddy. Asa is a fetch enthusiast who can't resist a good tennis ball, and she loves chasing water from the hose. She walks beautifully on leash and loves to sniff about. Asa is a volunteer favorite and is very well behaved on community outings off campus. Asa is always thrilled to meet new people, but prefers to be the only dog in your life - she wants all your love to herself! Asa is the perfect mix of excited and laid-back, always up for an adventure but equally happy to lounge around when it's time to relax. If you're looking for a loyal and fun-loving companion, Asa is ready to be your girl! Come by our Oceanside Campus and meet her today! Asa has been chosen as an Employee Pick! Story
How this pet arrived: Silvia was brought in by her previous owner on August 17, 2024. Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Silvia, an adorable girl looking for her new home! She can be a bit nervous of new faces and places, so she'll thrive in a calm home without the hustle and bustle of young children. Silvia would love a furry companion to guide her - preferably a mellow, social dog who can help her feel more secure. If you have another pup at home, please bring them along for a meet-and-greet to ensure they hit it off! She has made great strides in our care and absolutely adores her walks, especially with her doggy friends! An enclosed outdoor space for potty breaks is a must to help her transition into her new home. If you're ready to show Silvia the love and patience she deserves, come by our Oceanside Campus and meet her today! We think her soft eyes and expressive face will melt your heart! Shy/Fearful Dog: Silvia requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about her. Primary Color: Red Secondary Color: White Weight: 42.4 Age: 1yrs 11mths 0wks

How this pet arrived: Mullet was brought in by her previous owner on December 12, 2024. Why Mullet is the one for you:Meet Mullet, a lovely girl with a heart as big as her personality! This intelligent gal is potty trained, crate trained, and a dream passenger in the car. Mullet knows a variety of commands like sit, stay, down, look, and even crawl-she's one smart cookie! While she can get a little overexcited at times, she's a quick learner and will thrive with some gentle guidance. Mullet has a history of guarding her items from other pets, so she'd thrive in a home without other cats or dogs. She is looking for a home with older, sturdier children who won't get knocked over when she gets excited. If you do have another pup, a meet-and-greet is a must to ensure they're a match. Mullet is ready to crawl her way into your heart! Think Mullet might be the one for you? Then come meet Mullet and don't forget to bring a leash and collar in case you hit it off! Story
Paco is a neutered male black and white Staffi/Lab mix. He is 18 months old and weighs 60 lbs. so he will be a big boy when fully grown. He has been raised in Mexico by a lovely family and all vaccines are up to date and he is housetrained. Paco has lots of energy! He would love a yard to run in and a friend to play with. He is good with other dogs although he is overly anxious during initial introductions. He currently lives with several other dogs. He has not been around cats. Paco is as sweet as can be and loves kids. He just wants to find his own person or family to love. Because he’s young, obedience training would help him be the best dog he can be. To meet Paco, contact Dana by email or text: dkmikel@gmail.com or text 760.519.5532.

Story
How this pet arrived: Bullseye was brought in by his previous owner on January 15, 2025. Why this pet is the one for you:Bullseye is a handsome and affectionate guy who's ready to start the new year in a loving home! He's full of energy and thrives in an active family that can provide plenty of enrichment and exercise. Bullseye adores people and never holds back on giving kisses. However, he can be impulsive and mouthy at times, so his new family should be prepared to manage these behaviors with patience and positive reinforcement training. Bullseye needs a home with children aged 10 and older and would like to be the only dog in the home. If there is another dog, he will require a dog-to-dog introduction as he can be a bit coarse with social skills and guards his food from others. Bullseye is a very affectionate boy that just needs some guidance. With the right environment and support, Bullseye has incredible potential to be the best companion. Bring a leash, collar, and a heart full of love-Bullseye might just be your perfect match! Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Black Weight: 55.2 Age: 1yrs 7mths 1wks
