She took me on a car ride. I initially had some trouble getting into the car and needed my friend to help me. I enjoyed my car ride that ended with me at Jeffery Fontana Park. I was very happy to see other people and dogs! I was very eager to befriend the dogs at the dog park, but my new friend said exploring the trail was much more fun! I loved sniffing and taking in all the new smells. I was curious and wanted toknow more about what the squirrels were up to. My new friend my patient and was happy to give me breaks during our walk. Wetalked about birds and greeted people while we sat – I loved being stroked and getting scratches. Once we were back at the shelter I was a bit confused and tried to go back with my new friend, but was told that I will meet her again soon.Three Words to Describe Me are: Friendly – Easy - CuriousNotes from My Walker: Doris is a very friendly dog! There was no problem with slipping a harness on her. She needed some help getting inside the car but once in, she sat calmly and seemed to enjoy the ride. At the park she pulled slightly while walking but a stern “No” diverts herattention back to us. She is not highly treat motivated but easy to handle. She is very curious about other dogs especially if they are running/playing.In general, she is not very reactive to other dogs or people while walking. She likes shorter walks with multiple breaks and usually asks for one when needed. She understands “sit” and “common/let’s go”. After our walk, we sat in the shade and she was very goofy – asking for bellyrubs!

Story
DDO- Week of October 20thToday I got to hang out with my friend again! I was a little nervous coming to the lobby but once I remembered who it was I jumped into his arms and gave lots of kisses. Once we were out I jumped right into the car and navigated the whole way to the park. When we got to the park I got all my sniffs in and we walked through Shady Oaks and into Helyer Park where it was a beautiful day for a walk. We walked for about 4 miles and I made sure to check back as much as I could to make sure my friend was keeping up ??. After the walk, we played ball for a while on the basketball court- I love playing catch with the ball, I am so good at it. Afterwards, we laid on the basketball court and just chilled looking up at the sky. It was so relaxing. At the end of the trip we got a pup cup and we took a long drive. I had a great day!Three Words to Describe Me are: Gentle, Playful, CuriousNotes from My Walker: I LOVE walking Quintin. He is a gentle big headed bully that just wants to be loved and show his love back. He had a little stranger danger when we meeting but as soon as he remembered me it was all forgotten and we got harnessed up and we were on our way. He led the walk but stay in line with me and checking back continually. He knows how to sit and wait (sometimes his sits are lays but thats ok ??) and then he takes treats extremely gently. He loves playing ball, so its a must to bring on your outings with him– he will continue to catch and drop the ball to play with you and when he is not playing he will cuddle up with you and give you all the love you didnt know you needed. I did not find him to be reactive during this trip, though we only had a short interaction with another dog on the trail so that is still something to keep in mind as he has had past notations that he has reactivity towards other dogs. When we got back to the shelter we were in line behind two other dogs and he showed quiet interest but no vocalization or negative reactivity. Quintin is an amazing dog and would be a great addition to any family. 09/10/24 04:36DOG DAY OUT REPORT Today I: Met two friends! They took me for a long walk where I got to look for Squirrels and lizards! It was very exciting until one of the squirrels ran right toward me and that was a little scary!! Thankfully, he ran away right before he got to me – he made me very nervous! After that, the walk was great! We did not see any other dogs, which was perfect

10/03/24 02:47Doggy Day Out Report Today I: went to Almaden Lake Park with my friend. I enjoyed my car ride and took a long long walk in the park. I saw a lot of interesting things and sniffed a lot of interesting smells! I had a pup cup in the end! I really enjoyed my day! My friend told me I’m a very good boy!Three Words to Describe Me are: Sweet, Fun, PoliteNotes from My Walker: Jonathan is a handsome boy. He is sweet, playful and so much fun!He let me leash and harness him without any problem. My car was a little bit high for him and he happily let me give him a boost, lay down on my car and enjoyed the ride afterwards. While we were in the park, he walked very well on a loose leash, checking in frequently with me. We met people walking, jogging, riding bikes and walking their dogs. Jonathan was very friendly with every person and dog he met! He was very treat motivated! He always sat nicely for the treats and took them gently with a soft mouth. He was super sweet, whenever we stopped for a rest, he would come close and enjoy petting from me.Come and meet precious Jonathan! You’ll never regret it!
