Story
*** Hi there! I'm your darling doggo, Derp *** I'm a young (approximately one-year-old) male American Pit Bull mix. I weigh about 58 lbs. (mainly all muscle) and have been told I'm quite the looker! I have a shiny grayish/blue coat, soulful brown eyes, and the cutest little tongue that loves to make an appearance even when I'm not smiling (which is quite rare). You'll see my smile come out instantly when I'm getting my daily pets, training with treats, and giving kisses to my favorite shelter dogmates. Since arriving to the shelter, I have been working on getting a little braver each and every day. It does take me a little bit of time to warm up in new situations and I can become especially shy meeting men. But once I do feel safe, I love to be loved on and give it right back! My male volunteer pals have been able to walk me just fine but at times I do need some extra encouragement and pawsitivity to remind me that I'm in a safe space. As I continue to build my confidence in the world, it would be best I went to a quieter home with adults and older, considerate kids. But I'm not too shy when it comes to the fur-iends I've made at the shelter. I enjoy running the fence line with my pawsome pals, giving them kisses in between, and wagging my short stubby tail. But if you do have another doggo at home, my staff friends will properly introduce us to see if we are comfortable with one another. In between my favorite activities I like to show off my skills, especially on the ramp! I can zoom up and down before you even say "do you want a treat? I've learned "sit, and "down, and have been learning how to play fetch with my squeaky toys! I'll also never shy away from yummy treats which help keep me focused so I can learn even more awesome commands. Not to brag but I'm a shelter volunteer favorite, and if you ask any of my volunteer buddies, they will smile and tell you how special I truly am. Maybe it's my contagious grin, my rugged good looks, my playful side, or my sweet loving side? Come meet me and you will see for yourself. Derp was brought to our shelter on 8/8/24 after being found in Dublin. He hasn't been reclaimed by his previous person, so he's now looking for a new home. Derp is trying hard to be brave, but he is a bit nervous in new environments, and a bit shy meeting new people. He may prefer a quieter home with adults and older, considerate kids. ** Derp's neuter is being sponsored by TVAR ($35 adoption and, if applicable, licensing fees still apply) ** ## See video of Derp at the end of the photo gallery! ## TVAR.org/find-your-pet-adopt/dogs-puppies/ Derp's Shelter ID# is 82946. He is a young adult, blue, American Pit Bull mix. He currently weighs 58 lbs. He has already been vaccinated, neutered and microchipped and is ready to go to his new home! Story
Pantera is a beautiful 3 to 4-year-old pitbull terrier mix that was rescued from the Stockton Shelter after being there for over three months. Pantera had a litter of eight puppies in the shelter and all of them had been adopted but sadly she was left there all by herself waiting and waiting to be saved, but that never happened and she was scheduled to be euthanized. However, Pantera has a zest for life that was obvious to everybody, and that hasn't changed! After leaving the shelter, she became a favorite of everyone that has met her. She is very people friendly, she is very dog friendly, she will be a very loyal companion. This girl loves toys, loves the ball, but she is also content to sit and chill by your side on the couch. She's a perfect temperament and past the crazy puppy stage but still likes to have fun and will be a great match for a variety of homes. After all she's been through being used over and over for breeding we can't wait to find her the best forever home.
