Story
**Mr. Worldwide is a Patient Paw, who has been available for adoption since May 3, 2024. Please ask about their reduced adoption fee and the possibility of a sleepover!**Mr. Worldwide has completed one of our training courses and is now a certified Smarty Pup! To support his new family going forward, Mr. Worldwide will also receive 3 complimentary consults with our behavior team following adoption.Age: 2 yearsWeight: 32.5kg / 71.7lbsA bit about Mr. Worldwide:- Unknown history with cats. All introductions should be slow and supervised.- Only dog in home due to poor dog-dog social skills; potential for dog friends in future- Unknown history with children. All introductions should be slow and supervised.- May do well as a rural placement, but not required. Our goofy pittie mix Mr. Worldwide was found as a stray outside Calgary city limits back in April. Since then, this silly dude has spent almost 6 months in our care! Mr. Worldwide is an active, high energy boy who loves to hike, explore and even roller skate (well, he runs -you skate)! Although he may not look it, his love of the outdoors also means he’d make a great farm or acreage dog. He’d love to go on an all day adventure with you, or just chill and smell the breeze while you work outside. Our boy has really struggled with kennel stress at CHS, but with the hard work and support of our animal care and behaviour teams, we’ve learned that a combination of fun walks and outdoor adventures, as well as a variety of puzzle feeders and other mental enrichment toys helps him get the wiggles out. After so long in shelter, Mr. W will need some time to relax, adjust to his new digs and learn about life at your place. Consistent routines, and shorter absences will help the transition go smoothly. He also comes with 3 complimentary private consults to help you set off on the right paw together.Shelter staff and volunteers say this boy is, “one of my favourites to visit”, “greets you sweetly at the door”, and “loves belly scratches”. If you’re looking for a snuggle bug who can keep up on all your adventures, then look no further than Mr Worldwide. (He might need a coat for your next ski trip, though!)

Story
To support her new family, Bella will receive a complementary Reactive Rover training class. Age: 3 years oldWeight: 23.8kg / 52.5lbA little bit about Bella :- History of living with young children. Potential for home with children. All interactions should be carefully supervised by an adult.- No cats in home due to previous poor interactions and high prey drive. - Mixed history with other dogs. Has lived with another dog. Leash reactivity noted and likely dog selective. Potential for home with select other dog pending successful D2D. Meet Bella, a sweet and energetic pitbull who’s ready to find her forever home! Bella arrived at the shelter through no fault of her own and has previously lived in a home with young children, making her a great potential fit for a family.Bella’s favorite things include treats and playtime—she’s highly treat-motivated, which makes her an excellent learner for training. While she’s more of a playful companion than a cuddler, her big heart and enthusiasm for fun will win you over in no time. She’s best suited to a home without cats due to her prey drive and can get along with some dogs, though leash introductions can be tricky as she has shown some reactivity. Our amazing adoptions and behavior teams are here to help guide you with positive reinforcement training to boost Bella’s confidence on walks. With her loving spirit and playful energy, Bella is ready to become your new best friend!

Story
Age: 3 yearsWeight: 19.3 kg / 42.5 lbA bit about Emory:- unknown history with kids; all interactions should be supervised- limited history with cats; introductions should be slow and supervised- dogs okay pending successful introEmory`s foster family tells us that he is 1/2 adventure buddy and 1/2 couch potato! He`s up for anything, whether that be a hiking or skiing adventure, or a lazy day cuddling on the couch! This cuddle bug is comfortable in a crate and working hard on his skills like sit, down, shake and wait. If you have a dog friendly office, Emory wouldn`t mind hanging out with you at work too! Best of all, Emory`s foster family reports that he did well with their resident cat, and may do well with other dogs too! Sadly for Emory, he`s not too comfortable with the shelter life, so he hopes you`ll come meet him soon and bring this angel boy home!

Ginger loves to through herself into your personal space for cuddles, and doesn`t seem to realize how much she weighs! Ginger has lived happily with another dog before, and may do well with your pup.
