Story
Kobe is a lovable, energetic, and loyal dog. I found him in 2020 when he was about a year old. He's a strong boy with a heart of gold but has some quirks requiring patience. Kobe has separation anxiety and can get overstimulated, making him a handful at times. Despite trying several medications for his anxiety (gabapentin, trazodone, fluoxetine, and supplements), none have worked and all caused adverse effects. He's great with kids and cats once he settles in, though he may get overly excited and jump on them. I'm unsure how he would do with other dogs, as he becomes extremely overstimulated when seeing them outdoors or passing by in the car, so we tend to keep him away from them. He's protective and sweet but struggles with calming down. Kobe can't be left alone unless crated securely but is otherwise content. He doesn’t care for most traditional dog toys or fetch, so engaging him takes creativity. With patience & understanding, Kobe will be a loyal and loving companion.

Story
Violet was found on the side of the highway with a broken leg as a puppy. My husband was a local police officer who found her and took her for veterinary care. She healed beautifully and became attached to him. He was attached to her too, taking her with him everywhere he went. Sadly, my husband passed away about a year and a half later. We have had to down size drastically, now living in a much smaller house with family who already have dogs and cats of their own. Violet is a very sweet dog who loves cuddles. But she needs room to run and play, which we just do not have. She is so much larger and younger than the other dogs we are living with. We have decided to re-home her in hopes she can find that space and live the life she deserves.

Story
Zoey was rescued from a breeder/hoarder situation. We believe she also had some abuse. She had several brothers and sisters. Zoey is a sweet girl; however, she does not do well with other pets, especially smaller dogs. She needs one on one care. We have done some training with her so she knows how to come, sit and will shake paws. She has been on car rides but is not crazy about them. If someone could take the time to work with her, I believe she would be a good car companion. We have had her for about a year. She is two. She loves toys and does not mind wearing clothes. She has done okay with children but becomes very nervous around them. She can be very loving and loves belly rubs.
