Story
Meet Jordan, a sweet and laid-back 10-month-old pit mix with a heart as big as he is! Jordan is housebroken, crate trained, and does pretty well on a leash. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs, loves people, and enjoys spending time with kids. While he’s still young, Jordan isn’t as active as other dogs his age due to congenitally bad knees. He likes to play and run but takes it easy compared to more energetic pups. His condition means he’ll likely be on anti-inflammatory meds for the rest of his life, and his mobility may decrease as he ages. Despite these challenges, Jordan is full of love and would make an excellent companion for someone who prefers a slower pace. He’s a big, strong boy but is gentle and sweet, making him the perfect match for someone looking for a loyal and loving friend to share their life with. If you’re looking for a good boy who enjoys the simple pleasures and a laid-back lifestyle, Jordan is ready to meet you! Spot is such a good boy! This 1 year old pittie boy is so, so happy. He loves to play with other dogs, and will be a lap dog if you let him! Spot is crate trained and sits at his crate door to wait for food. He was picked up abandoned on a dirt road, but was very friendly to his rescuer. There are special dogs, and Spot is 100% extra special! This sweet boy is heartworm negative and fully vetted including all shots and neuter. Pitties are often overlooked, so don't make the mistake of overlooking this amazing boy. ❤️ If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at https://www.cognitoforms.com/DixieGirl1/PetAdoptionApplicationForm2 Most of our are pets are fostered in Southern foster homes and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel. Story
Meet Rip! ♥️ This big ole baby is a 3 year old pit bull. Rip loves snuggling up on the couch with you while you’re watching tv. He loves his two foster brothers and loves playing outside with them. When his brothers aren’t giving him any attention he entertains his self with toys or finds a comfy spot to take a nap. Rip is a very mellow boy and mostly low maintenance. He enjoys spending most of his time snuggled up somewhere sleeping soundly. He loves everyone he meets and loves his person a little extra special. Rip does not like being alone very long as he does have a tad bit of separation anxiety. He is very food motivated… will do just about anything for a treat! Rip would be best in a home with no children or older children, as sometimes he forgets how big he actually is. Rip can't wait to meet his new family. 🎉

Story
Mama Kate and her sweet baby boy Brompton wandered up on the property of a good Samaritan, after most likely being dumped. While Brompton loves his mama and hates to be separated from her, we know the chances of them being adopted together are slim to none. He’s a three month old, playful boy that gets so excited for pets that he immediately rolls on his back and kicks up his legs expecting belly rubs. They will both follow you around looking up with you with those big, sweet, but sad eyes just begging for love. Unfortunately Mama Kate is heartworm positive and has started on antibiotics and preventative. (Heartworm is not contagious as long as dogs stay on prevent preventative.) Both get along with dogs of all ages and size, and are super sweet with kids and all visitors. Please consider giving princess Kate and our little sushi roll, Brompton, a cozy bed and love and we guarantee they will be the most loyal companions you have ever met. We do offer a discounted adoption fee for the lucky family who decides to adopt Mama Kate and Brompton together. Story
Meet Isabella or Izzie, a quirky little  36 pound bundle of joy. Izzie was found wandering around alone, she was emaciated and very weak. Dixie Girl and her incredible foster mom were able to step in and save her life. Izzie does well with children and other dogs, but prefers to stay close to her foster. 🎈 She is crate trained , but will require a heavy duty crate to keep her safe. She prefers to sleep in a cozy dog bed or snuggle with her foster. She is progressing with house training as long as she is kept on a schedule. Izzie is crazy about balls and will run after and retrieve them when outside. 🎾Otherwise, she prefers to be an inside house dog. She would thrive in a home where the human(s) are home most of the time! If sweet Izzie sounds like the perfect match for you , please submit an adoption application. She can't wait to meet her new family. 🎉
