Story
Animal Profile: Oliver is a petite chihuahua mix who is estimated to be around 13 years old and weighs only 6lbs. He was confiscated from a home with 41 other dogs, many of whom were seniors. Oliver has received his dental, vaccines, and blood work and is now Seattle-bound. He was rescued from Moreno Valley Animal Shelter in CA. Foster Update: Meet Oliver! Do not let this boy's estimated age fool you - he has the spunk and stamina of a 2 year old pup. He doesn't fully appreciate his senior status, as he considers himself a munch younger fellow, and he proves it with the pep in his step as he prances around his foster home or out on his walks. Oliver is convinced that any bag can easily be converted to a dog bed with the right approach, and he is determined to show the world that senior dogs can have a blast too. Oliver is good with other dogs and cats, and he just adores his humans. We hope you're ready for a pup that melts your heart, because this boy knows how to lean into your chest and gaze into your soul. He'll gladly curl up on your side, and he is very accepting of pets and belly rubs. He is working on his crate training, and he is great about doing his business outside. His mobility is pretty good and he has the energy for long walks (check out his video!), but he can be a little wobbly/uncertain on stairs and struggles at times with his spacial awareness. Oliver received a full dental prior to his arrival in Seattle, along with all of his vetting and bloodwork. He is now officially ready to find his forever home in Seattle.
