My name is Squirt, I guess cuz I’m a little tiny girl and also super cute. I love to play with one dog in my foster home tho she is way bigger than me. She’s gentle so I’m good with that And we play a lot. I’m pretty timid but with time will come to love my new home and you but will need some patience. I lacked socialization in my prior home but am now open to touch. I use potty pads as the world is a Big place outside. I would love you to Come meet me. Her foster parents are Marie J.    The adoption fee for Squirt is $300.Please complete our online application form if you are interested in adopting Squirt. Dogs have been heartworm tested and if appropriate (age and time of year) all dogs and puppies are given heartworm preventative. All are given medication to rid them of roundworms and checked and treated for fleas & ear mites, if needed. Dogs and puppies are given distemper vaccines and depending on how long the pet has been in foster care, additional distemper vaccine(s) may be necessary and the expense will be incurred by the adopter. Any canine over 4 months of age is brought current on the Rabies vaccine. Additional vet care may have been provided depending on the particular animal's needs. Dogs are individually priced as above. Please note that we do not ship dogs and we cannot guarantee that a long trip to see a foster dog will result in an adoption or taking the dog home on that day. Story
Name: Edward Breed Guess: Chihuahua Mix Age: 3 years old Gender: Neutered Male Weight: 4.3 pounds Shelter Temperament: Friendly Children: Good Cats: Can test upon request Dogs: Meet and Greet Required Adoption fee: $425 Likes: Being held, going on walks, and snuggling in laps The Animal Rescue Project (www.animalrescueproject.org) is committed to the best possible veterinary care for the pets it rescues and it is looking for adopters who will be similarly committed. Adoptions are NOT first come, first served! We seek to choose the best fit for the approved adopter and pet. Please understand that these animals are still new to us and their needs and requirements can change at any time as we learn more about them. We will try our best to get them updated online as soon as possible. All dogs and puppies are given a general check-up when they enter our program. They receive medication to remove any intestinal parasites (worms), fleas, and ticks they may have. Dogs greater than six months of age are checked for heartworm. If heartworm positive, the Animal Rescue Project treats the disease. Dogs and pups receive all age-appropriate vaccinations for distemper, and dogs greater than four months of age are also vaccinated for rabies, in compliance with State of Michigan laws. All dogs are also microchipped. Most dogs and older puppies are spayed or neutered before adoption. In the case of puppies not old enough to be safely sterilized, a $50 deposit is required at the time of adoption and is refunded to the adopter with proof of sterilization. The Animal Rescue Project requires every adopter to establish an active relationship with a veterinarian no later than 10 days after adoption. Adopters will receive a plan for routine veterinary care at the time of adoption and are expected to work with their vet to complete the plan.
