Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $300 plus taxMeet Cheskie the Imo-Inu!Cheskie was picked up as a stray and spent 83 days in impound before being rescued.  Impound was a very loud kennel environment that was very stressful for this little girl.  She has been in a foster home for a few weeks now and has been making great progress.  The only downside is that the foster has eight other dogs and Cheskie really needs to be in a home with less dogs to allow her to completely forget the impound experience. What we have learned so far:She loves playing with toys and will fetchShe is very treat motivated She is very smart and a quick learner.  Already knows sit, shake and down. She is house trainedKennel trainedHas a high prey drive so we don't want any cats or small animals in her homeShe has very clear signs when she is uncomfortable, give her her space when she tells you and she will want your lap after. Here is what she needs: 1.  An experienced owner. 2.  No other small dogs, cats, animals. 3.  No kids. 4.  A strong single person or  strong couple, who can ensure calm, consistent leadership. 5.  A fenced yard is nice but not mandatory.  She would benefit from walks every day for the routine and discipline (on a very secure short leash and not a retractable), and save the yard as a play reward. She is a true gem! Who will help make her shine? If you have previously applied with us please email adoptionatmars@gmail.com to reactivate your application with new interest.  All fees are subject to MN sales tax and a processing fee at the time of adoption. We accept Credit cards, Debit cards as well as cash. At this time we do not accept checks. Our Adoption fees for all animals cover required vetting: which includes, Rabies, Distemper Vaccine Series, Bordetella, Deworming, Heartworm Test as age appropriate, Spay or Neuter and Microchip and registration. Adoption Fees are Non Negotiable. All fees are subject to MN sales tax and a processing fee at the time of adoption. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called 'cute' as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process.  *Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. //
