A foster-to-adopt option is available for me, giving us the chance to get to know each other before making it official! Ruger is a handsome 5-year-old Cocker Spaniel who is looking for a calm, understanding home. He’s a sensitive guy who does best with patience, space, and the ability to make his own choices. Once he feels comfortable, Ruger can be affectionate and loving with his people. He’s quite active and enjoys playtime as well as the company of other dogs. Ruger will thrive with someone who has breed experience and understands Cocker Spaniel tendencies. He does have some resource guarding around food and toys, so he needs thoughtful management and a low-stress, adult-only home. No children, please. With a calm environment and a compassionate approach, Ruger has the potential to be a loyal and loving companion for the right person. Ruger currently weighs about 17 lbs and is approximately 5 years old (estimated birth date 09/23/2020). His adoption fee is $315. Ruger has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations and preventatives, and is microchipped. But don’t let that hold you back — this boy is full of heart and potential!   Since returning, Suncrest has started professional training and is receiving medication to help calm his busy mind. He’s responded wonderfully, especially given his limited time and environment. But with consistency, structure, and a steady supply of cheesy treats (his favorite!), Suncrest is eager to keep growing in a calm, committed home.   He’s looking for an experienced, dog-savvy person who can continue his training and provide the stability he needs. She's crate-trained, handles alone time beautifully (no barking, chewing, or worry), and is making great progress on her potty training. She also walks nicely on a leash - perfect for short leisurely strolls.   She adores people of all ages, from men and women to young children and grandparents, and she gets along splendidly with small dogs. She's not one for constant cuddles, but her affectionate presence and happy demeanor bring warmth without demanding it.   In her golden years, Kathy dreams of a single-level home with no stairs (or just a few) where she can wander about comfortably and enjoy the simple pleasures of life by your side.    This resilient little lady has so much love left to give. He simply adores being by your side all day long, offering quiet affection and a wagging tail that lights up any room. Fabio is wonderfully gentle with every person and dog he meets, showing no aggression or guarding tendencies whatsoever; he's just pure kindness in fur form.   Fully housebroken and polite, he'll softly whine to let you know when it's time for a potty break. His favorite pastime?
