Hi, my name is Blue and I would love to meet you. I have been at the shelter since Nov 15, 2024. There’s no better place than cuddled up close to my human on the comfiest couch. I’m the kind of dog that enjoys an easy-going lifestyle. Movie marathons, binge-watching shows, designated nap times, and regular pets are some of my favorite activities to do with my people!

Story
He is an American Bully with an easy going attitude. Lazy. Affectionate. Playful. Quiet. He looks like a seal or potbelly pig with his extra large head with cropped off ears and tiny legs. He is healthy (he has easy to manage seasonal allergies) and active, crate trained and house trained. Dog and kid friendly- He is fostered with dogs of every size, he does best with larger females since he can be bossy. Most male dogs try to challenge him due to his size. Cheeseburglar is a LOVER not a fighter, he barks for attention. He spends most of his days napping on a Quilt in the AC. Favorite Color: Orange Favorite Toy: Squeaky Duck Stuffy Favorite Food: Cheese HIS-STORY: This strikingly handsome low rider was caught sleeping curled up in the home office with the cats, 'caught' because he didn’t live there and had pushed open a door during a storm and made himself at home. He was put outside to wait for Animal Control, a ride to the county jail for trespassing. He was bailed out and efforts made for the past few weeks to local owners. Always surprised at who needs a second chance, this American Bully with cut off ears and a dominate personally, needs a confident family to give him rules and exercise. Cheeseburglar needed a few extra meals and medications for a skin infections from fleas (dermatitis) which has resolved. Now neutered, up to date on vaccines and testing heartworm negative. Story
Welcome Contessa to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 6-year-old American Bulldog/Pittie mix is our guess. She has an adorable blue and one brown eye. She weighs about 50 pounds and is good with other dogs. She barks at her kennel door so her best place would be with a wooden privacy fence. She is moderate to low activity and loves to be touched. She is good in her crate and will make some lucky family a good companion. She is lower energy so she could go with a more relaxed and laid-back family. She could also go with children. We like them to be 10 or older. She was found as a stray on the construction site and had to survive until a good Samaritan caught her and brought her to CCPAL rescue. She warms up slowly but bonds deeply to her people. She has fallen in love with the kennel fellas. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 200 and transport is 180. She is healthy, vaccinated, spayed and ready for her forever home. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Welcome Buddy to CCPAL Rescue. He is a 2-year old American Bulldog and Australian Cattle dog is our best guess on the mix. He has a lower coat and does shed. He is a bit of a puller on leash when he first gets out of his kennel. He is intelligent, affectionate and ready to learn. It doesn’t appear he would be hard to train but may have not had a lot of training in his first home. He would be great for a runner, jogger or hiker. He is sturdy and could keep pace and would love to join his human. He is in my opinion a perfect man dog. He loves men naturally and leans in to show his affection. He hasn’t been reactive on leash when walking around other dogs. He is social and not afraid of new people. He is exuberant so we think he would be best around children that are 8 or older. He would do great with an active family that wants an active companion. He does slow down and likes to chill out as well. He is not perpetual motion. He is getting neutered soon and is already getting his vaccinations and will be chipped. He is hw negative and ready for his forever home. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. . Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Meet Doc, one of a litter of six puppies that were abandoned at a construction site in La Paz, BCS, Mexico. Fortunately, Doc and his siblings were quickly rescued, and have thrived in their foster home with excellent care, growing into gorgeous, healthy young pups. Doc is kind of an independent little guy, but he does love cuddling with his humans. He plays hard with his sister, Oreo, but he is otherwise a pretty easy going little guy. Doc is fully vaccinated, sterilized and ready to find his forever home. Are you ready to make this sweet boy part of your family?

Story
She was found and rescued as a puppy from the side of a road in North Carolina during June of 2020, and was estimated to be approximately 8 weeks old at that time. She has lived with her current owners ever since. Recce has thrived in a full loving home of two adults and three kids as a family dog. She has always been great with the children and displayed maternal care when presented with new puppy siblings as a young adult. Since a puppy, she has grown up with a male English Lab of similar age. Her Lab counterpart seemed to compliment her well and was her first k9 socialization. At around 2 years of age she gained the aformentioned siblings, a puppy male German shepard and shortly later a puppy female Husky mix. Recce was observed displaying maternal behavior and care for each puppy during the early stages of their growth. All this time, Recce has seemingly maintained her position as the alpha of the group.
