Story
**Please note this is pet is currently out of town pet but we will transport this pet to you when adopted. All fees listed include transport fees.** Meet Bubba Charlie — a big-headed sweetheart with an even bigger heart 💛 Bubba’s story says everything about who he is. He showed up on a kind stranger’s porch during a rainstorm… and decided he had found his person. Friendly, gentle, and easygoing, he quickly won over everyone around him—neighbors, other dogs, everyone. His rescuer wanted to keep him, but sadly couldn’t due to housing restrictions. Not wanting him to end up in a shelter, they made sure he stayed safe—and now Bubba is waiting for the forever home he truly deserves. Bubba is about 2 years old and around 80 lbs of pure love. He’s: Housebroken and crate trained Great with kids Friendly with all people Wonderful with small dogs (very patient and gentle) He walks on a leash but could use a little help polishing his manners—nothing unusual for a young, strong dog. With larger dogs, Bubba does best with respectful introductions. He may react if another dog shows aggression first or is barking at him from behind a fence, but otherwise, he’s a laid-back, loving boy. What really makes Bubba special is his heart. He bonds deeply and loves fully—the kind of dog who will be your shadow, your comfort, and your best friend through everything. He’s not just looking for a home… he’s waiting for his person. Could that be you? Interested in becoming a forever home for Bubba? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws . We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and appreciate you working with us.For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process. Our adoption fee is $150. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public in Oklahoma. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!

We do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Hi! I am Pawl Stanley and I am a 2-year-old, 70lbs, neutered, and chipped. I have a loving personality and just want to be everybody’s friend! I haven’t had the best life until now. I was abandoned by my previous family and left in an apartment for around 2 weeks with no food and only the toilet to drink from. I was found there and brought to the shelter. A foster stepped up to get me out of the shelter and now things are looking up for me! I get to spend time with humans and both big and small dogs. I love everyone! I like to play with other dogs, but sometimes I get a little too excited for the small dogs and scare them when I do my play dance too close to them! My foster family has been working with me on my manners - I am a good boy, but I am doing my best to become the best boy I know I am meant to be! I already know how to sit, and I am currently learning crate training, wait/stay, leash walking, and basic manners. My foster family says I'm improving every day! I don’t really understand personal space because I want to be close to my friends. Some of my favorite things are making friends (both human and dog), chew toys, eating my veggies (like carrots and broccoli), going on walks (even in light rain), and diving for ice cubes in the water bowl. While I do enjoy my foster family, I am looking for my forever home. I want to be a part of a family that needs a big, excited, bundle of love in their lives! If you are interested in adding Stanley into your family, please fill out the adoption application below! https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/DDAR/Dog ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. ***

Story
Divorce forced displacement from our family home April 2025. New place does not allow dogs. She has anxiety, attacks other dogs out of fear or possessive behavior. Attacked 4 dogs in past year. She is a lover, demands belly rubs, treats and a space on your couch/bed if you'll allow it. Also crate, kennel, house trained. I'm out of options and need a home for her asap. But must be the right home. She comes with kennel, dog bed, water dish, food and bowl, toys, leads, collars, she's all ready to go.

Story
Duke is the kind of dog that thrives on structure—and for the right person, that’s exactly what makes him exceptional. If you like routine, consistency, and a dog that locks into a daily rhythm with you, Duke will feel like a perfect fit. Duke is a young American Bulldog mix, about 65 lbs, strong, athletic, and extremely trainable. He’s a dog who wants direction. Give him clear expectations and a consistent routine, and he settles into it quickly and confidently. He does great on a tie-out on a zip line where he has room to move but clear boundaries. That structure allows him to relax and stay balanced instead of getting overwhelmed. When Duke first arrived, he was placed in a standard wire crate to sleep at night—and he destroyed it. Not because he’s “bad,” but because he didn’t yet have structure, clarity, or the right setup. Once that changed, everything changed. Now he has a sturdy metal crate, and it’s become his favorite place. He even has a full routine: he barks to let you know he’s ready to go back in, you come over and unclip him from the tie-out, and he runs full speed straight into his crate, onto his fresh blanket (which he loves), settles in, and waits for his cookie. That’s Duke—give him a system, and he locks into it. He walks calmly on leash now, where he used to pull hard, and he transitions between activities without chaos. He’s very human-focused, eager to please, and responsive. With his person, he’s submissive and engaged. With other dogs, he can show some dominance with males, but he coexists well in a structured environment and hasn't had any issues with any of the dogs here outside of some occasional grandstanding that I easily shut down with just a verbal command even from a distance. Good fit: someone who enjoys routine, structure, and working with a dog who wants to learn and follow a system. Duke will reward that with consistency, loyalty, and a dog that truly “gets it.” Adoption process: All adoptions are completed prior to transport. Dogs are picked up at designated transport locations. If an adoption doesn’t work out (rare, but life happens), we always take our dogs back. Location: Oklahoma (available to approved out-of-state adopters via transport) Health: Fully vetted (spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested) Adoption fee: $450 (includes transport + vetting) Bonus: Each adoption includes a 30-minute phone consultation with a professional trainer Transport routes: WA, OR, ID, MT, UT, WY, CO, MN, WI, IA, IL, IN, OH, PA, MD, NY, NJ Think you might be a good fit? Story
That face that you fell for is the happy-go-lucky heartthrob we call Charlie. He is the kind of dog that meets the world with a big ol’ smile and all the wiggle-wag one dog can physically create. He is a goofball with bouncy joy, the cutest charm, and some amazing cuddles. Charlie is estimated to be just over one-year-old, he weighs 50-pounds, and we think he is a bit of a lab/bulldog mix but truthfully we can’t say for sure given he is a rescue. The only test I could run showed he is 100% sunshine and sweetness. See for yourself then come back to read more- https://youtu.be/sQRj9YmGuG4 Charlie is a friendly boy that makes it hard not to fall for him immediately. After I spent the day with him I didn’t want him to go- I had fallen for him. He is instantly affectionate and melts into a puddle of belly rub seeking butter. If he doesn’t melt you will feel him lean into you for hugs, and he will even let you scoop him up for an extra sweet cuddle. This guy’s happy energy is contagious and that doesn’t stop with people, he is just as thrilled to make new dog friends as he is to be by your side. The afternoon we spent with Charlie we introduced him to a wide variety of dogs to get a feel for his play style and the types of dogs he enjoys most. It didn’t take long at all for us to be impressed with how friendly and welcoming he was. Even when other dogs came in a little hot or pushy, Charlie handled it with grace. With the right dog, an equally bouncy, playful dog, he showed us he loves a bit of bouncy, physical play but it isn’t his constant. He was comfortable enough to lay down beside brand-new dogs a sign of total trust. He’s the type who only joins in play when invited and isn’t going to push his way in as a third wheel or shut down the fun for them. He isn’t going to cause a stir but will always try to help keep the vibes tuned to fun-loving, calm joy. Charlie does need some leash work, he has the basics down and honestly I feel like I am betraying him to say such a thing because it didn’t bother me one bit. All I could see was a happy boy who was just so excited to explore the world! The more he gets to experience and enjoy the better he will be at pacing himself . That and some practice (and maybe a few treats to reward him for checking-in and walking by your side), he will learn quickly. He is a smart boy, eager to please, and already shows how well he responds when guided gently. He will bond fast and deep with his people. During the time we spent with him, the first person who interacted with him as his handler walked out of the yard, he stayed by the gate waiting- a loyal love bug through and through. Because of that devotion, he may miss you when you go at first, its natural, but with time and routine he will settle into knowing his favorite people always come home. Charlie would do best in a home with a yard and another playful, medium-energy dog to run and romp with. He could adjust to apartment living once his leash manners are polished as long as he gets plenty of playtime and adventures to meet his mental and physical needs. No cats for Charlie though, his eager friendliness does not vibe with cats. We all know cats- if you’re too eager they don’t care for you and that goes for dogs too. Charlie gets to focus his love and happiness towards people and dogs. If you’re looking for a happy, loving, goofy companion who’ll make every day so much better, Charlie’s your guy. One look into that glowing, goofy face and you’ll know -his boy was made to love you. Ready to welcome some sunshine into your life?
