Meet Tom💚 Tom was rescued from a slaughterhouse at a young age, together with his 4 siblings, including Klein and Brown. * Interaction with people : Is not familiar with the touch of people and feels akward. Is such a gentle boy that he displays no offensiveness at all when people approach him. * Interaction with dogs: Gets along well with his siblings as well as other dogs whom he is currently staying with at the Center. * Interaction with cats: It is unknown since he has no experience of encountering cats. * Separation anxiety: It is unknown since he is currently staying in a group at the Center. * Potty training: Uses only outdoor potty at the Center. * Walks: Is quite adept at walks really as he has had training at school!! * Car sickness: Doesn't get car sick.

Meet Cupcake, a great all-around dog! She was found by a county deputy on the side of the highway, where she was cuddling her dog friend who had been hit by a car. The cop actually thought she had been hit also because she was laying with him after he had passed! We think they were both dumped. Cupcake really needs a best friend to snuggle with! Her ideal would be someone who works from home with at least a small fenced yard. She just wants affection and would love to host doggie play dates and then crash out on the couch. She is a moderate energy level. Cupcake is good with adults, children and other dogs. Really, a great pup! Thank you! And Cupcake thanks you, as well! Welcome Contessa to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 6-year-old American Bulldog/Pittie mix is our guess. She has an adorable blue and one brown eye. She weighs about 50 pounds and is good with other dogs. She barks at her kennel door so her best place would be with a wooden privacy fence. She is moderate to low activity and loves to be touched. She is good in her crate and will make some lucky family a good companion. She is lower energy so she could go with a more relaxed and laid-back family. She could also go with children. We like them to be 10 or older. She was found as a stray on the construction site and had to survive until a good Samaritan caught her and brought her to CCPAL rescue. She warms up slowly but bonds deeply to her people. She has fallen in love with the kennel fellas. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 200 and transport is 180. She is healthy, vaccinated, spayed and ready for her forever home. Welcome Buddy to CCPAL Rescue. He is a 2-year old American Bulldog and Australian Cattle dog is our best guess on the mix. He has a lower coat and does shed. He is a bit of a puller on leash when he first gets out of his kennel. He is intelligent, affectionate and ready to learn. It doesn’t appear he would be hard to train but may have not had a lot of training in his first home. He would be great for a runner, jogger or hiker. He is sturdy and could keep pace and would love to join his human. He is in my opinion a perfect man dog. He loves men naturally and leans in to show his affection. He hasn’t been reactive on leash when walking around other dogs. He is social and not afraid of new people. He is exuberant so we think he would be best around children that are 8 or older. He would do great with an active family that wants an active companion. He does slow down and likes to chill out as well. He is not perpetual motion. He is getting neutered soon and is already getting his vaccinations and will be chipped. He is hw negative and ready for his forever home. Where do you start when telling Arlo’s story? This big, sweet boy has been through it all and has emerged as a gentle, loving goofball with a new zest for life. Arlo was neglected, abused, chained, starved, and eventually shot in the head. Miraculously, the bullet did not permanently damage his brain, eyesight, or sinuses, and Arlo made a full recovery from it... and as they say the rest is history! Arlo is a new dog and is ready to find his forever home and start his new life! Arlo LOVES to play with other dogs and it would be ideal if he were adopted into a home with another playful, med/large-sized dog that he could become best friends with. Arlo has lived successfully in his foster home with two small, older dogs and four cats. He loves to go on walks and bounces around at the door any time he thinks he’s about to get one. He loves shorter 1-3 mile hikes and being outdoors with his person. He also loves his toys and keeps busy by moving them around the house and yard. He gets very excited any time he gets a new toy. Arlo is approximately 5 years old and is an 82 lb., neutered male Labrador/American Bulldog mix. He is very gentle and good-natured, and loves his human most of all. He is a “Velcro dog” and a major snuggle bunny, and just wants to be wherever you are in the house. He likes to hang out in the yard sometimes and watch the world go by through the fence, but he is mainly a house-dog and a member of the family. He can be somewhat shy or wary with new people, but it doesn’t take much for him to warm up with some head scratches and treats. He knows how to “sit,” and is very quick to learn. He is an American Bully with an easy going attitude. Lazy. Affectionate. Playful. Quiet. He looks like a seal or potbelly pig with his extra large head with cropped off ears and tiny legs. He is healthy (he has easy to manage seasonal allergies) and active, crate trained and house trained. Dog and kid friendly- He is fostered with dogs of every size, he does best with larger females since he can be bossy. Most male dogs try to challenge him due to his size. Cheeseburglar is a LOVER not a fighter, he barks for attention. He spends most of his days napping on a Quilt in the AC. Always surprised at who needs a second chance, this American Bully with cut off ears and a dominate personally, needs a confident family to give him rules and exercise. Cheeseburglar needed a few extra meals and medications for a skin infections from fleas (dermatitis) which has resolved. Now neutered, up to date on vaccines and testing heartworm negative.
