Story
I took Prada in March of last year due to her last owners not wanting her anymore and sending her to pound. I wanted to give her a good home so took her in and she has been amazing since. I recently gave birth and my baby is allergic to Prada and this is the reason I am no longer able to keep her. She is 6 years old but is very healthy, loving and easy to care for. We are just looking for a loving family to take her in that is able to give her the attention she deserves as we are no longer able to adequately care for her. She is great with all animals regardless of type or size and she loves children. She is truly the best family dog and it’s unfortunate we are unable to keep her but I must consider the health of my child first. She is house trained. We will provide her bed, cage, blankets, shampoo and a month supply of food upon pick up.

Story
Approximate Weight: 74 lbs Meet Onyx, a beautiful, intelligent boxer who thrives in a calm, structured home with humans who understand her need for security and routine. She is deeply loyal, people-oriented, and bonds closely with her humans. Once she feels safe, she is affectionate, goofy, and loves being part of daily life. Onyx enjoys walks, playing with toys in the yard, cuddling with her humans, and having a predictable environment. She is housebroken and knows basic commands. She does best when she has clear boundaries and a calm handler. She is incredibly affectionate with her people and thrives when she gets consistent activity and attention. If you’re an active person or family looking for a loyal companion who will happily join you on all your outings, she will be your shadow and your best friend. ********************************************************************* Schedule a meet-and-greet by completing our Adoption Survey on the Adopt page of our website at https://www.olddominionhumanesociety.org/adoption-survey. Story
Fran is a sweet and bubbly Boxer mix who lives for treat time! If you love hanging out in the kitchen, she’ll be right by your side, ever hopeful that any bag you grab holds snacks. Her excitement is contagious — though she’s still learning to sit patiently for treats! This gentle girl is slowly coming out of her shell and learning to enjoy cozy time with her dog friends. She’s incredibly submissive and hasn’t met a pup she doesn’t like. When feeling overwhelmed, Fran simply retreats to her safe spot — often her bed or the kitchen. Walks can be a bit scary at first, but once she gets going, she really shines. She’s working on potty training and improving every day. Fran would thrive in a calm home with older kids and, ideally, another dog to help guide her. She came to us unsure of the world, but with love and patience, she’s blossoming into the sweetest companion. Fran is proof that a little kindness goes a long way.
