To learn more about Nugget, please get in touch with his foster at fetchinginn@gmail.com Hello, I'm Nugget! I love to play! I'll fetch and chase with all my toys, but I'm very responsible in the house and won't touch anything I shouldn't. I sometimes growl like a dragon when I get really playful, but just me talking, and I'm very gentle. I know all my basic commands, walk nicely on the leash, and eat all my approved doggie vegetables. I've had many doggie roommates and do well with non-dominant dogs once I get over my initial excitement of meeting them. I'm still a bit nervous around human strangers and do best with new people who approach me with care, but warm up once I get to know you - especially if you carry a piece of cheese in your hand! I hope to meet my forever playmates soon, who can help me feel secure and calm and be my best self!

Story
Please contact Destiny Sibert (DestinyS@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.Energetic Bulldog Babe Ready for Fun and Cuddles BLUEBELL NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!   Name:  Bluebell         Best Guess for Breed:  Bulldog and terrier mix   Best Guess for Age:  5 years 9 months as of Sept 2024         SEX: Female   Approximate Weight: 33 lbs   Gets Along With:    Bluebell gets along with other dogs, but she likes to be in charge so would do best as the only dog or in a home with a submissive resident dog that's Bluebell's size or larger. Bluebell is not a fit for homes with kids under 12 years of age due to her strength.    We have tested Bluebell with some of the cats at the shelter, and he/she did not seem particularly interested in chasing or pouncing on the cat. While this is a positive sign that she could live with a cat, he/she has not done so to our knowledge. If you have cats in your home, we are happy to discuss with you how to best introduce a new pup to your pack!   Currently Living at:  DC area boarding facility (She needs a foster to stay with until she finds her forever home!)   Special adoption considerations: Because of her breed, Bluebell must be walked using a harness and she cannot be out in the heat too long or she will have difficulty breathing.    About Bluebell:  Bluebell is a curious, smart girl who’s looking for a family that will share in her joy for life. She's been working hard on her obedience and comes with sponsored training sessions at Atlas Dog House so her future adopters can help Bluebell be her best self and put her sharp mind to use!   Will you be the one to give this spirited bulldog babe the love and adventures she deserves?  A Spirited Lady Bluebell may be nearly 6 years old, but she’s still full of energy and enthusiasm for life! This sweet bulldog loves nothing more than spending time with her people, whether it’s joining you on an adventure, enjoying a treat, or curling up on the couch for some cozy snuggles. Playful and Active Despite her age, Bluebell loves playtime and thrives on multiple short walks throughout the day to burn off her energy. She’s a curious and smart girl who has worked hard to improve her leash manners, and she’s come a long way. Just be mindful of her in warmer weather—she’ll need those breaks to avoid overheating. A True Queen When it comes to doggy playtime, Bluebell likes to be the boss. She’d do well as the only dog in the home or with doggy siblings who are submissive and her size or larger. Bluebell enjoys her social time but also appreciates a peaceful environment where she can reign as queen! Adoption Information Are you ready to welcome this fun-loving and sweet bulldog into your home? If you’re looking for a playful, energetic, and affectionate companion who loves adventure and cuddles, Bluebell is the perfect match! Fill out an adoption application: https://www.luckydoganimalrescue.org/adopt/adoption-process What My Foster Says About Me:   Bluebell is a sweet girl that wants to be around her people at all times! She enjoys treats and a good scratch to her ears and belly as well as cuddling up on the couch with her family when it's time to rest. She is a curious and energetic girl for being 8 years old. She loves playtime and multiple short walks throughout the day (so she doesn't overheat). She's worked hard on improving her leash manners but may still pull to investigate extra interesting things, likes squirrels or other dogs.   When it comes to doggy playtime, she likes to be the boss so submissive doggy siblings would be ideal for Bluebell.  Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT:      The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. Story
Female, approx. 5 years old, 46 lbs Personality: playful, easygoing, affectionate, snuggler, and outgoing. Hi Folks! I am Muffin, and who doesn't love a good muffin? I am a calm and friendly pooch who just loves being around people and other dogs. I like to stop and visit with neighbors along my route, and I especially enjoy gently getting pets from the one year old girl who lives nearby. It's fun to snuggle up in the crate and nap with the other dog in my foster home, but I'd be happy to be your only dog too. I have adorable quirks -- I get all wiggly when I know something great is about to happen, like going for a walk or eating food! I adapted quickly to my foster home, and am house and crate trained. I'm proud to report that my foster says I'm the easiest dog she's ever had. If you're looking for someone to accompany you out and about, I'm quite well-behaved at restaurant patios. I'd love to go for a walk together so you can observe firsthand my calm yet playful demeanor. I bet one look into my eyes will melt your heart. So let's make a date: your new favorite Muffin awaits. I hope you will apply to meet me -- I'm sure to be your favorite morning Muffin! If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. Story
Male, 4.5 years, 70 lbs. Personality: easygoing, outgoing, playful, loyal, energetic, affectionate, adventurous, mischievous, and adaptable. Rocco is the epitome of a love bug, always eager to join in on the fun whether it's playing in the yard or cuddling on the couch watching TV. His adaptable nature means he can match your energy level, whether you're seeking a playful companion or a laid-back snuggle buddy. While he enjoys his adventures in the back yard, he's equally content relaxing indoors, taking cues from his human companions. With his adventurous spirit and affectionate personality, Rocco will bring joy and laughter to his forever home. Rocco has shown himself to be a well-behaved and loving companion at home. He is still learning what to do with a ball, but delights the young children in his foster home by playing in the house and the yard. He's gentle with the kids and is more than happy to clean up any food they accidentally drop on the floor! Rocco has made great progress on house training, does well in his crate, and already knows the words "no," "sit," and "crate". He definitely shows a willingness to learn and grow. Rocco loves toys, especially chew toys, and they keep his mind stimulated throughout the day. Rocco is choosy with his canine friends and would do best as the only pet in your home, with a fenced yard big enough for him to run and play in. If you're ready for a loyal and energetic companion, Rocco just might be the match for you. If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. Good with: Dogs, kids Not tested with: Cats House trained: No Energy level: Medium Noise level: Quiet Hi there! Im Patty, and Im the sweetest little shadow youll ever meet. I love being close to my people, so youll usually find me right by your side, following you from room to room. Im a little shy at first, but once I warm up, Im all about cuddles and affection. I get along great with other dogs and kids, and I especially love women. Ive got a medium energy level, so Im up for walksboth long and shortbut I also enjoy my downtime, napping in a cozy spot near you. Im still learning the ropes when it comes to training, but Im a quick learner and eager to please. I can be a bit skittish with loud noises and sometimes get nervous around new people, but with a little patience, Ill come around. I would make a fantastic family dog! Im so good with my foster parents one-year-old, and I dont mind his constant cuddling and pets at all. I even love sitting with everyone in the nursery when its time to put him down at night, and I never want to leave the room when its bedtime. Im super gentle with little kids and would really enjoy being part of a family. Im all about love and being a loyal companion! Id love to find a forever home where someone is home oftenIm happiest when Im with my people. I get along great with other dogs, so Id do well with a furry friend to help me settle in, but I can also be the only dog as long as I get plenty of love and attention. If youre looking for a loyal, affectionate companion, I might just be the perfect fit for you! My foster guardian says: "She is such a Velcro dog! She follows me everywhere." Likes: Walks! My ideal home:I'd love another dog friend in the home, although it's not a necessity. I'm King. I am loving, loyal, and - ok, you made me say it - very handsome. Oh, and did I mention that I am looking for a best friend to adopt me? I like leash walks, especially in calm and quiet spaces where we can spend some quality time together without the crowds. But, I may get distracted by all of the wonderful smells because I really do need to put my nose on everything to explore the wonders of the world. Not only am I curious, I am up for a challenge! I like to run across streams, jump on logs, and hike the trails. I have lots of energy so will be sure to help keep up with your exercise plan. I even like to get in a jog from time to time. And, not to brag, but I am pretty smart. But, for the sake of all those delicious treats, I will pretend that it takes me time to master new tricks and skills. One more thing to tell you. I like to talk when I play. I hope you will come to meet me so we can play together forever, just you and me!
