This 18-month-old Pit Bull/American Bulldog mix (80 lbs) has watched countless others find homes while he quietly waits for someone to see him. And once you do... you won't forget him. King is the perfect blend of gentle soul and playful spirit. He may be a little reserved when meeting strangers-but who hasn't heard of stranger danger? Once he gets a few sniffs in (especially if snacks are involved), you'll start to see his whole world open up. King is incredibly affectionate, loyal, and devoted. He's the kind of dog who doesn't just join your life- he becomes your heart. He loves to play, enjoys his treats, and thrives on simple moments- being near his person, sharing quiet time, and finally feeling safe. King doesn't need chaos or constant activity. What he needs is you- your patience, your kindness, and your willingness to let him blossom at his own pace. King is already leash trained and crate trained, giving him a strong foundation to succeed in a home. He does well with female dogs and would enjoy a calm, respectful companion, but he is not a match for male dogs or small dogs. He also does well with older, sturdy children (15 years and older) who understand how to give him space while he settles in. This boy has spent nearly a year in a place that can't give him what he truly needsÂa sense of belonging. The shelter has been a stop along his journey, but it's not where his story is meant to end. King is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and heartworm negative.
