**Meet Bluto!** If you’re looking for a ride-or-die companion, Bluto is your guy! This incredible pup has faced a lot in his life, and unfortunately, not all of it has been good. Once with a family, Bluto ended up at the local pound. He was rescued in January 2022 but later found himself abandoned in boarding, leading him back to the pound in September 2022. Thankfully, that’s where we discovered him. Despite the whirlwind he's experienced over the past year, Bluto has adjusted remarkably well to his new environment. After only a short time working with him, we realized just how amazing he truly is. It’s hard to understand why anyone would give up on such a sweet boy. Bluto has a stoic demeanor that says he will protect your family with just a glance, but beneath that tough exterior lies one of the silliest, most playful dogs you’ll ever meet! He loves going for walks and exploring the great outdoors, always eager to experience new things in nature. When it comes to loyalty, Bluto defines the term; he would run through a brick wall for you! He is crate trained and will transition smoothly into a new home. Richard Parker is still very spry and active, easily keeping up with other dogs and always ready for some exercise. He has a joyful spirit and plenty of life left to live, and he deserves a loving home where his family will cherish every one of his gray hairs and give him the comfort and love he deserves for the rest of his days. Richard likes to play with toys and very content cozying up on the couch for a movie night. He is decent on a leash, but needs some additional training as he may not have been leashed walked in his prior home.  Richard did do a cat test at the shelter and did not seem interested in the cat, but it is always recomended for slow introductions and decompression as it is unknown if he lived with cats prior.  ##2638372##
