I showed up to what is now my foster home looking for love and safety and even ran up and jumped on my foster mom to give her a big hug with my two front paws! I'm still learning not to jump up but otherwise, I am very good with kids, even very small ones. I L-O-V-E water- can you hose me down or get me a kiddy pool? I would be so happy! I'm very well-trained and I love to play. With these good looks and sweet disposition, a nice family is sure to want me as a new addition, right? Rocco was dumped in our neighborhood before the holidays and we took him into our home to foster him. He's been a welcome addition to our home and is a big fan of kisses and (whether you want it or not) sitting on you while you're on the couch :) Rocco is a bully breed, so he can be stubborn at times. If he wants pets or scratches, he can pester you. He already knew how to sit, shake, and he's 100% crate trained. He is a bit of a fence guardian, but he'll listen to you if you correct him. The key with bully breeds is persistence and being firm. He might do better with someone who's had experience with the breed or someone who doesn't mind putting their foot down. He does take some time to get used to new surroundings , but he really is a big baby. He's a good guard dog too. He's got a 6th sense about Amazon/USPS delivery persons. He's not much for playing longer than a few minutes, but he does love his rope toy and a nice chew bone. Rocco gets along with our cocker spaniel, but we he might be best to be an only dog if there is another bully-type / alpha dog in the house. Meet Happy, a bundle of pure energy, excitement, and friendliness. This lively puppy is full of vim and vigor, always ready to play and explore. Her enthusiasm is contagious, but her intensity can be a bit too much for little ones. Because of her jumping and rough play style, she`ll need to live with kids at least nine years old. Happy is quite vocal, expressing her feelings loudly and clearly whether she is barking at people or other animals. She has no experience living with other pets. She`s also quite needy, requiring a lot of attention and care. She doesn`t like to be alone - ever. She is sometimes affectionate and likes being petted but other times couldn`t care less. She has too much to do to spend her time cuddling. She weighs 22 pounds and would thrive in a home with a spacious yard where she can burn off her energy. A recent adopter said she was too energetic for them. She loves car rides, walks, chase, running and toys, especially something she can tug. Happy is a quick learner but needs training to help her channel her energy productively. She does know the sit and shake commands and knows that `up` means to stand on her hind legs. She`ll need your guidance and help with house training and leash walking. Adopting Happy means inviting a whirlwind of joy into your life. She may need some time and patience, but the love and loyalty she offers in return are priceless.
