She is the definition of joy and is sure to bring a smile to your face every day. Always happy and ready for fun, Dutchess thrives on companionship and is eager to be part of your life’s adventures. Dutchess rides wonderfully in the car, making her the perfect co-pilot for road trips or quick outings. Whether it’s a hike in the great outdoors or a simple trip to the park, she’s always ready to tag along and enjoy the journey with you. Her enthusiasm for life is contagious, and she’ll make every outing more enjoyable. Dutchess is a dream at home, too. She’s potty trained, kennel trained, and has never had an accident in her foster home. She kennels perfectly and is so chill and easygoing, making her an absolute pleasure to have around. She takes treats gently, loves to cuddle, and enjoys going on walks where she doesn’t pull but loves to wander and sniff, soaking in all the scents of the world around her. Dutchess gets along well with other dogs, but a meet-and-greet is required to ensure she’s the perfect match for her new canine companions. Her playful and friendly nature ensures she’s a joy to be around, whether it’s playtime in the yard or cuddles on the couch. Currently in a foster home in New Braunfels, TX, Dutchess is eagerly searching for her forever home. If you’re looking for a cheerful, adventurous, and loving dog who will brighten your days and go everywhere with you, Dutchess is the one for you. Story
Ace is about 9 months old not sure exactly sure of his breed but seems to be American bulldog mix, This little guy was abandoned or lost he was found injured and hiding under a vehicle when he was a pup about 3 months old so we adopted him after no one came forward after putting flyers up, he's s very smart energetic loving dog that's for sure, he's only ever been around our Chihuahua so not sure how he'd be around other animals or children, he's learning not to jump on people but he gets excited after we've been gone for 10 minutes or after coming home from work, honestly he thinks he's a lap dog and will cuddle up in my husband's lap, He is friendly around strangers but seems to be protective and alert when out for walks or in his environment, He's a very smart and intelligent dog who needs a lot of attention and a very large yard, , we moved into an apartment and it's just not large enough for him, we love him and want the best for him

Story
This is Tusa :) she is a beautiful American Bully (3yrs old). I have had Tusa since she was 7 months old. She is the sweetest, most gentle, loving, perfect dog a human can ask for. Unfortunately, over the past month she has become aggressive towards the other dog that we have. She has never shown any sign of aggression before and it has only happened recently. With that being said I am taking her to “sit means sit” training facility in Austin, TX and would be happy to share the input they give me to any potential “rehomer”. I believe she will make a single dog family home as extremely happy as she has made me over the past years. My family and I are heartbroken over the recent events because she is such an amazing and sweet dog. I am looking for a loving family that will have the time, patience, and care that she deserves. I have no doubt that she will make another family happy❤️ If you have any questions or would like a further explanation on anything I would be happy to answer them!

Story
Jake is a real love. He is truly a companion dog. He just loves people. In fact, his favorite is to sit in the kitchen while you cook. Everything is better when Jake's around. He was rescued from California and has rebounded magnificently. He gets along with all the other dogs at the rescue and loves horses. He follows them around the ranch just like the old Texas cowboys used to do. He is current on all his vaccinations and heartworm negative. He is a very gentle dog and great on the leash. Nature trail anyone? Give us a buzz and let us introduce you to our sweet boy, Jake.May 23, 2024, 3:59 pm

Story
Dominic surely is a fitting name for this young social dog. While his foster was away for the summer, Dominic graciously shared his home with our Behavior Team. His welcoming demeanor towards dogs and new friends certainly were a "godsend". Over the summer Dominic hosted several dogs of varying sociability including: super long stay wheelie pup Emma, long stay Ruthie, spunky little Wagyu, and baby girl Nora. Dominic also fostered Clubby through heartworm treatment and they became thick as thieves. Dominic is also a playgroup rockstar here at APA! Dominic met a handful of new people over the summer including a dog savvy kid! Dominic has been in his foster home with a lovely social female dog who helped show him the ropes in the home. His doggie sister helped him grow from a puppyish boy into a fine young adult doggo. Dominic can now roam freely when his people are away and does well meeting new friends. He enjoys snuggling in bed, on the couch, or napping on his own depending on your preference. Dominic would do best in a home with a well-matched dog, but he'll also hear out other offers. Catch this cutie at the Town Lake Animal Center on Tuesdays when he comes in for doggie daycare, or click the blue button to learn more about him! Story
Meet Clubby, a resilient and affectionate dog with a heart full of love despite his challenging past. Clubby is a true cuddler who thrives on close companionship and enjoys being with people more than anything. He's a pro at loose-leash walking and relishes leisurely strolls and sightseeing adventures. Car rides are a particular highlight for him, adding a touch of excitement to his day. Clubby is crate-trained and house-trained, making him a dependable and easygoing addition to any home. While he prefers to keep his food and toys to himself, he's a gentle and non-destructive companion when left alone. Though he enjoys the company of people, Clubby has the potential to live harmoniously with other dogs, given a proper meet-and-greet to ensure compatibility. When it comes to downtime, Clubby is the ultimate couch potato, ready to snuggle up and relax. If you're looking for a loving, easygoing buddy who will appreciate both adventure and cozy evenings at home, Clubby is the perfect match.

Story
Meet Puffy: Professional Napper, Aspiring Zoo Keeper, and Certified Good Boy Ladies and gentlemen, roll out the red carpet because Puffy is here to steal your sofa—and your heart. This handsome, big ol’ marshmallow of an American Bulldog comes equipped with stunning looks (seriously, models are jealous) and a nap schedule tighter than a CEO’s calendar. Puffy’s daily agenda? Sleep while you “work” (he knows you're watching TikToks). Grace you with his presence during TV time. Briefly pounce on his beloved blue jolly ball in the yard—just enough to remind you he could be an athlete. Return to the couch for another nap. Repeat as needed. But Puffy is more than just a handsome face and a champion napper. This guy is basically Dr. Doolittle—he’s lived with cats, parrots, and even giant tortoises. He’s ready to run your household like a gentle, slightly wobbly zookeeper. Speaking of wobbly, Puffy has a neurological condition that makes him a little unsteady on his paws, so he’s looking for a calm, quiet home where he can stay safe on the first floor (stairs are for peasants anyway). Training? Puffy’s got that down. He knows "sit," "down," and "place," and will do anything for praise. Seriously—call him a good boy and he’ll move mountains for you (or, at least, move slightly faster toward his next nap). Treats also work wonders, because Puffy knows snacks are life. Ready to upgrade your life with Puffy, the world’s handsomest, snooziest and most lovable sidekick? Follow his adventures on Instagram at @omg_its_puffy to see how ridiculously adorable he is. Puffy’s just looking for a comfy couch, a quiet home, and someone to call him a good boy forever. Will it be you?
