Meet Bucki This 3.5-year-old fluffy Frenchie is a lovable little shadow with a heart as big as his personality. After spending his early life being used for breeding, Bucki is now discovering what it truly means to be loved—and he’s embracing every second of it. He’s never met a stranger and greets people, dogs, and even cats with pure joy and curiosity. This goofy, affectionate boy loves being near his people and will happily follow you from room to room, making him the ultimate companion. While he enjoys cozy couch cuddles, he really just wants to be wherever you are.Bucki is making great progress on leash walking and continues to improve every day, though he sometimes gets distracted by the excitement of making new friends. He’s still working on potty training and does best with a doggy door and a patient home to help him keep learning. He can live in an apartment but would thrive in a home where someone is around often, as he doesn’t love being left alone and may bark when crated. Despite his fluffy coat, he has minimal shedding and is generally a quiet, easygoing guy. Bucki does have some breathing limitations and may benefit from nares surgery (pending a second opinion), so shorter walks—especially in cooler weather—are best, though he can still enjoy up to a couple of miles when conditions are right.All Bucki truly wants is love, companionship, and a family to call his own. Meet Garland!Garland is a 10-12 year-old senior male French Bulldog mix. Due to untreated past ear infections and neglect Garland is deaf. He came to Saving Hope with 2 ear infections. The one in his right ear has cleared, but the left may need additional treatment. He has been neutered and is current with all his vaccines.Even with his past neglect Garland is an absolute gem. He learned the doggie door in 5 minutes. If it’s closed he will patiently sit at the back door waiting to be let out. Garland has not had one accident in the house. He free ranges in the house, except when there are workers at the house, he is put is his crate, which he goes into readily. Garland sleeps all day, loves being outside, walks well on a leash, gets along well with other dogs, loves his humans and likes to snuggle. Garland also has old man vision, so you need to make sure you are in his line of sight so he can see you. Garland would make a great apartment pup since he doesn’t bark because nothing startles him. He would be fine as an only pup or in a home with other dogs. He gets along well with his foster`s Frenchies. Meet Evander! Evander is a handsome 3 year old, 50-pound hunk who is ready for his forever home! It is unclear exactly what his past was like before being rescued by Saving Hope, but we can imagine it was not great. He was part of a massive rescue effort near the border in Eagle Pass, TX in early 2024 were 100’s of dogs had been abandoned. He was very fearful initially but has realized he’s safe and has blossomed into a spunky, curious, and cuddly boy.Given his rough start to life, he is understandably fearful of new people and places. He is used to running and hiding when afraid, and may express his fear or unease by growling, but it is fear, not aggression. Evander has done well exploring and navigating obstacles at Home Depot and other dog friendly places that aren’t overly crowded. He prefers to approach new people and sniff them before receiving pets. He caught on to potty training very quickly! Though he does not mean to cause trouble, he is still a puppy by nature. He is very curious and when he finds something interesting he might carry it around and take a bite or 2 but is learning “drop” and “leave it”. Evander happily takes a chew toy instead when redirected.Evander is a velcro baby and is happiest with his person close by – snuggles on the couch are his preferred activity after a little play time. He has not shown any resource guarding behaviors to his foster siblings and is just happy to be part of the pack – he has become very close to his pit bull foster sister and loves to roughhouse with her. He has been working hard on learning how to respect other dogs’ space when they are not in a cuddly or playful mood. He knows to wait at his “place” for his meals, and knows his crate is his safe place. He sleeps quietly in it at night and during the day while his human is at work. He is very treat-motivated and learns quickly from watching other dogs, and occasionally shows his stubborn boxer side but with consistency he learns the expected behavior. With a slow introduction to new dogs, he will adjust quickly and thrive!Evander loves to move, and this has helped him gain confidence! He is learning to allow his human to lead on a leash and gets a walk/run most mornings before spending several hours waiting for his foster mom to get home from work. He would LOVE more company during the day while he lazes around. While he is used to having a yard to run around, as long as he gets time to move every day he could adjust to

Bella just wants to be loved and live in a comfortable home. She has been abused in the past but has a great temperament and so much affection.. She is small for a Boxer mix weighing 38 pounds, but has many Boxer like tendancies. The vet says she is about 2 yrs old. She wandered up to my office in terrible shape. She was thin, had an eye infection, skin infection and covered with fleas. She has been all fixed up now and needs a good home. She loves her walks in the neighborhood as well as in Petsmart, She gives lots of love. She has been great around my 3 dogs and tolerates my cats. She is very playful and has the funniest bark. She likes to sleep by you at night and rides well in a vehicle for trips to the store and parks and Grandma's. If my husband would let me keep her I would, she is a jewel!
