Hank is great with people. He gets super excited around other dogs and does not seem able to read them. Does not know to respect their personal space so introducing him to other dogs is a process but can be very rewarding. Just look at that face and those eyebrows, such a lot to say. This handsome boy likes to snuggle and will dive right into your lap. Three years old and is ready to find his new home! American Bully/Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Adoption fee is covered by Tim Ivens Real Estate & Development. Includes all age appropriate Vaccinations, Spay/Neuter, & HW test and dewormed. Estimated Birthday 01-20-22.

Story
Almost Home believes that every animal deserves a loving home regardless of appearance, age, or physical limitation.  We have come together to give animals in need the safe and happy life they all deserve.  Almost Home Animal Rescue believes that no animal is expendable.  Adopting a friend:The animals, lucky enough to find refuge with Almost Home, are all in loving foster homes. If you are interested in the possibility of giving one of the animals a new lease on life, please contact us. The contact information is listed at the end of each biography.  What you need to do to adopt:If you would like to adopt a pet in need from Almost Home, basically, an application must be filled out. We will check two personal references and a vet reference. If you are approved for adoption, there is a trial period of about one week to make sure this is the animal for you and you are the person for the animal. Along with the trial period, a contract must be signed that basically states that if ever you cannot keep the animal that you must return the animal to Almost Home. Last but not least, a home check will be done. Meet & Greets:An approved application is required. This does not mean that you have to adopt but that you are approved to do so if everything works out. Since we are foster based, this limits the amount of people coming to our homes.  *Due to rescuer being very ill, all her dogs are in desperate need!!!   Meatball puts the M in front of HUNK! This big ball of bulldog love is ready to plow right into your couch (and your heart). Meatball loves to flop around in the water and bask in the morning sun. He sticks to his routine and struts his stuff on the way out the door with more personality than you’ve seen in most people! Meatball found himself in a new exciting place when his owner needed a dog sitter while going out of town but he loved watching the pigs and splashing in the puddles at the ranch so much he couldn’t be convinced to leave! He loves everybody but does enjoy leaning on and hugging his pals, so he would do best in a home that doesn’t have small children or older family members. Meatball is just an all around happy guy that is searching for his forever. A good balance between quiet couch potato-ing and long walks with a harness and some guidance (or anything to splash around in) is all you need to keep this Meatball happy! *Guest Posting If you would like to meet your new best friend, contact the Adoption Coordinator at info@almosthometn.org or 865-236-0830. To fill out an application, go to www.almosthometn.org. If you can't get it to work, let us know and we will send it to you in a different format. Adoption fee $150.ADOPTION FEE: The adoption fee for a cat is $85. The adoption fee for a kitten is $100. The adoption fee does include the kittens being fixed and their rabies shot when they are old enough through one of our local vets. The adoption fee for a dog is $200. The adoption fee for a puppy is $250. The adoption fee does include the puppies being fixed and their rabies shot when they are old enough through one of our local vets. Mature pet adoption fees are sometimes reduced. The adoption fee for pure bred dogs and cats will vary due to health and age of pet. This helps support our ill animals and our mutts that get left in the system longer. We do reserve the right to change the fees higher or lower due to the circumstance of the animal but what was stated above are the usual adoption fees.  Microchipped pets will have a higher adoption fee.  Our adoption fees do not cover the cost of the vetting and care the animal has received with us and if it ever does, the money just goes back it to helping other animals in need. November 1, 2024, 8:13 pm

Story
Her name is Monroe and she is three. She’s an American bully and has a big personality. She’s not fixed, is other dog aggressive, iffy about men if she doesn’t know them, crate trained (she’s an escape artist), and is okay with cats as long as you acclimate them to each other. She is halfway house trained, meaning as long as she’s on a set schedule she won’t potty in the house. She does have separation anxiety so if you leave her out while you are gone she will more than likely get into your trash. !!She is also fully ABKC registered!!

Story
Sunflowers are often called “happy” flowers, and it`s easy to see why—they can instantly brighten anyone`s mood. They symbolize long life, lasting happiness, good fortune, and promising opportunities. That spirit is embodied perfectly by this incredible black-and-white Boxer/Bulldog mix we’ve named Sunflower. When you think of flowers, sweet aromas usually come to mind. However, our Sunflower had a rather different introduction—she arrived smelling like skunk and covered in fleas. But don`t let that fool you; her radiant personality shines through despite her rough past.Sunflower has been a wonderful guest while here. In her kennel, she stays calm, rarely barks, keeps her kennel spotless, and waits patiently for her turn to go outside and potty. She walks beautifully on a leash and greets every person she meets with unwavering joy. Her energy level is low, and she doesn`t demand constant attention, making her the perfect companion.Sunflower is ready and waiting for you to come and meet her. She won’t disappoint!

Story
While `Pigeon` might seem like an unusual name for a dog, he will quickly warm your heart. This sweet dog is cheerful, friendly, and easily wins over everyone he encounters. Currently weighing around 50 pounds, Pigeon does need a little extra weight on him. Having been found as a stray, it’s clear he’s faced challenges on his own for some time, but we know that in a loving home, he will truly thrive. With his playful spirit, Pigeon is progressing with leash walking and is eager to learn commands like `sit.` If you are looking for a large, goofy, loving companion with so much to give, Pigeon could be the perfect addition to your family. We invite you to meet him and see the joy he can bring!
