Lisa is gentle as a lamb. She loves hugs and kisses and tries her very best to make you happy. How could you not love a baby with a smile as wide as her sweet face?Lisa was abandoned on the side of the road with her sister Marge. The temperatures were in the high 90's and these girls had neither food nor water! Someone just left them on the side of the road to die. We tried our darndest to ignore their plight but when I drove by a second time and saw how terrified and hungry they were, we had to help. We brought them food and water in buckets and prayed they would be friendly (since I had heard all the stories about pit bulls). I admit they were leery of us too but as soon as they had a few bites they became our best buddies. Lisa was so thin, and something had caused some serious cuts, but she has never even paused in her outpouring of love and gratitude. What a precious girl. Lisa is especially extra gentle and innocent and loves nothing more than sitting beside you, knowing you are near.Lisa loves kisses and belly rubs, running wide open, and treats. She will make a devoted fur baby to a family that does not have cats or chickens. Vito (M) and Donna (F) are bonded litter mates that shall only be adopted together. They are American Bullies, independent with no behavioral issues and are both approximately 70 lbs. each. Donna is spayed but Vito is intact (not neutered) due to a heart murmur that he takes daily medication for ($30.00 for a 90 day supply). It doesn't effect his daily life and the vet says that it may never. I rescued them from a very bad situation where they were caged most of the day. Donna is definitely the alfa and really enjoys her chew toys. Vito is a more laid back big lap dog and is content just sitting with his human receiving pets. They are definitely inside house dogs that need the interaction of a family. They are social and enjoy playing with other dogs and cats. Both are responsive to commands and have a sweet and loving dispositions.

Meet Leonidas! Hi! My name is Leonidas, but all my friends call me Leo. I'm kind of a celebrity around here, but don't worry, it still hasn't gone to my head. I am one of the longest residents here at the Humane Society, I've been in their care since August of 2021. I'm an American Bulldog mix, and the birthday they helped me choose is 08/19/2016. Now that I've got the boring stuff out of the way, let me tell you about me! If you'll indulge me in bragging for a moment, I'll tell you I am one of the BEST huggers you will ever meet. I have never met someone who didn't melt right in my paws. If you give the right first impression, good luck stopping me from giving you a snuggle. I love a good treat, I mean who doesn't? My friends have taught me a lot of basic commands, and if you give me a reward or use a clicker I will listen for sure. I'm also a sucker for a good chew toy. Rubber balls and hard toys are my absolute favorite! My friends like to give me Kongs filled with peanut butter, and I can't get enough of those. I could chew on a good toy for hours, honestly! A couple of things you should know about me are my HUGE fear of storms, for one. Way back before I lived at the shelter, I was shot in the shoulder area and the thunder just reminds me of that way too much. I'm fine now from the gunshot, though, not even a scar! I also want to be the only pet in the home. Other dogs and cats are fun to think about, but I don't actually want to be anywhere near them. I think kids are pretty fun! I love to give them big hugs and kisses, but they should be old enough to understand my boundaries. I can get a nervous if you hold me too firmly, and I know some really little ones don't understand that yet. Leo is fully vetted, neutered, and microchipped. His adoption fee has been sponsored!
