Meet Iysis! This handsome boy is an nine-month-old American Bulldog/Great Pyrenees mix, and he is currently looking for his forever home! Iysis was found as a stray and was never reclaimed, he is now available for adoption. This sweet boy does great with dogs, kids, and the elderly, we do not know how he does with cats, but we do offer trial adoptions and meet and greets to ensure he finds his pawfect family! If you enjoy travelling and need a companion, Iysis loves car rides, he hops right up, sits in his seat, and is ready to go! We do not know if Iysis is house trained, he can be barrier reactive when in a kennel though. Iysis is HW NEGATIVE, UTD on vaccinations, NEUTERED, weighs 67 pounds, and is ready to be adopted today!Iysis' adoption fee is $108 plus tax!Dogs are $115 and puppies are $110 unless otherwise noted. All cats and kittens are $75.00 unless otherwise noted. Our system automatically updates adoptable websites every two hours. Feel free to email or call us with any questions you may have. Story
Meet Leonidas!  Hi! My name is Leonidas, but all my friends call me Leo. I'm kind of a celebrity around here, but don't worry, it still hasn't gone to my head. I am one of the longest residents here at the Humane Society, I've been in their care since August of 2021. I'm an American Bulldog mix, and the birthday they helped me choose is 08/19/2016. Now that I've got the boring stuff out of the way, let me tell you about me! If you'll indulge me in bragging for a moment, I'll tell you I am one of the BEST huggers you will ever meet. I have never met someone who didn't melt right in my paws. If you give the right first impression, good luck stopping me from giving you a snuggle. I love a good treat, I mean who doesn't? My friends have taught me a lot of basic commands, and if you give me a reward or use a clicker I will listen for sure. I'm also a sucker for a good chew toy. Rubber balls and hard toys are my absolute favorite! My friends like to give me Kongs filled with peanut butter, and I can't get enough of those. I could chew on a good toy for hours, honestly! A couple of things you should know about me are my HUGE fear of storms, for one. Way back before I lived at the shelter, I was shot in the shoulder area and the thunder just reminds me of that way too much. I'm fine now from the gunshot, though, not even a scar! I also want to be the only pet in the home. Other dogs and cats are fun to think about, but I don't actually want to be anywhere near them. I think kids are pretty fun! I love to give them big hugs and kisses, but they should be old enough to understand my boundaries. I can get a nervous if you hold me too firmly, and I know some really little ones don't understand that yet.  Leo is fully vetted, neutered, and microchipped. His adoption fee has been sponsored!  Interested? Call us at 615-446-7387 to get any additional information, or to set up an appointment to come and meet him.  ##1190205##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Ben is a sweet, ever so handsome and an independent boy who loves to be near you (he gets SO excited when we come home) but can equally occupy himself. He’s house trained, crate trained and a great eater! He is curious for life, and would likely do best with a home or space with a fence. We’ve not had to crate him, and have had no issues.  He’s got a funny personality, a silly howl (only comes out once in a while, definitely not an issue) and is basically a dream.       Adoption fee waived for an exceptional home.  Medical Notes: Neutered Received a Proheart 12 injection. Proheart provides protection against heartworms for 12 months.  Mircochipped Heartworm negative Vaccinations are up to date Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 22, 2024, 9:40 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Biggie Smalls is the bestest boy. We pulled him from a shelter when he was brought to the shelter 3x. This was no fault of his at all. The last time he was brought back he was missing a bunch of hair. So, when we pulled him, we had him seen by our vet. We started him on some meds, and we did a medicated spray on him every other day. His skin looks way better now! He needs to be on good food, so this doesn't become an issue again.  He will play with any dog. He is great with cats. I think he would do great with kids BUT he also does not know his size. So, I would only have him with bigger kids and not small children as he could accidently knock them over. He would never do this on purpose but again he doesn't realize his size.  I would have him with older kids. Only He enjoys playing but also is quite content snuggling on the couch too. He is house trained, and kennel trained. He is a big goober so keep that in mind when adopting him as he doesn't think he is 85lbs. He will be available 2/8/2025. He is such a sweet dog who needs to find his forever home.  Medical Notes: Neutered Vaccinated Microchipped Heartworm Negative ProHeart 12 Injection  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 31, 2025, 3:57 pm

Story
Meet Ford, a remarkable Bulldog whose presence is as powerful and steadfast as a mighty river. Just like the characteristics of his breed, Ford embodies kindness and courage, showcasing a unique blend of friendliness and dignity. Now you may not see it by looking into his gorgeous brown eyes, but Ford has suffered in his short life.... he came to the rescue from the streets with a HORRIFIC hernia on his back end, near his rectum. He required two surgeries to correct the hernia and allow him to have a normal life again. He came through with SHINING colors ;) With his well-muscled frame and low-slung stature, Ford is the epitome of a true bruiser, but it's his iconic "sourmug" face that represents his unwavering courage and tenacity. Despite his robust appearance, Ford is a docile and loyal companion, adapting seamlessly to any environment, be it the bustling city or the serene countryside. With Ford by your side, you'll experience the unwavering devotion and unmistakable presence of a Bulldog, a breed that leaves an indelible mark on your heart. Don't miss the opportunity to welcome this incredible Bulldog into your life, as Ford's unique spirit will bring joy, love, and an unmistakable charm that only he can deliver. Some basic information about Ford; he is male, a Bulldog mix, and is medium-sized (20-59lbs). Ford is not great with other dogs (or cats or other critters) and would be best in a home with either only adults or older children and as a single dog. But his heart will fill your home with all the love you need!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
Meet Gayle, a 3-year-old female American Bulldog mix with a stunning apricot and white bicolor coat. Gayle is a high-energy pup who loves spending time with people. She's incredibly friendly and cuddly, always eager to share affection. While Gayle enjoys the company of people, she can be selective with other dogs and might need a patient and experienced owner who can help her navigate her interactions. She's a bit anxious and defensive around other dogs, but with slow exposure and gentle guidance, she has the potential to adjust and become more comfortable over time. We suggest a single dog home for Gayle. If you're an experienced dog owner looking for a loving and energetic companion, Gayle could be the perfect addition to your family. With a little time and patience, she's sure to become a loyal and devoted friend. Come meet Gayle and see if you can be the one to provide her with a forever home filled with love and understanding. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
Snow, is a beautiful European Boxer, she is less than 1 year old. We are looking for a family that can give her the attention she needs. We have little children, so we are in a routine and can't enjoy her the way we want. She has not mastered not to jump of excitement, which my kids are terrified to. We love for her to be with a good family that can enjoy her love and company.
