Story
Meet our local celebrity, Dora the Explorer! Dora is around 3 years old and she weighs around 58 lbs. Dora was spotted for over 1 year traveling a wide area and numerous concerned citizens became concerned that Dora had lost her way and her family. A group of volunteers made it their mission to rescue Dora. After being caught it was evident that at some point she had a family that loved her because she knew many commands and was proving to be a very intelligent girl. Dora is very playful. She bonds to her humans very quickly and would just love to be a couch potato when she is not out in the yard entertaining herself or having fun playing fetch. Her foster family has several older dogs and Dora seems fine with them, however, Dora would do great as well, as a single dog family because she loves her people! Any questions about her can be answered by her foster mom and we can put you in touch with her. Dora is ready to travel when the perfect home is found for her. Story
Meet Ghost! He was saved from the Memphis Animal Shelter with 30 minutes left to live before being euthanized to make room for incoming animals. He is a year and a half years old, American Bulldog mix, weighing 40 pounds. Ghost is now looking for a family to call his own. He is a sweet boy that never meets a stranger and especially loves children! Watch his eyes light up and see his 'tap dance' when he gets excited. He walks great on a leash and has a medium energy level. He loves to run, play, and go on walks but can also be calm and lounge around. He loves to chase a tennis ball and play tug of war with his foster sibling. He loves his crate and never goes potty in it and sleeps quietly throughout the night. He has been neutered, heartworm treated, and is current on preventions. He is looking for his forever home!

Story
Fostering in Tennessee Here's the link to our adoption application: https://form.jotform.com/201317338010137 This sweet little guy is Parker. He was found as a stray in Memphis and is not on the hunt for his forever home. Parker loves everyone he meets and just wants someone to love him back. He enjoys treats and lots of pets from his person. Parker is fostering with other dogs and seems to be okay with most. He can a bit of a pest with some dogs and get on their nerves so an easy going dog would probably be better. Parker is crate trained, trained and has pretty good manners. He will need a home that is willing to give him consistency, love and patience while he adjusts to his new home and schedule. In addition, our coordinators offer as much information regarding the medical and behavioral and personality characteristics as is known to our organization. Without them, and our extremely generous donors, we would not be able to save as many animals as we do every day. With each adoption, we operate a Pay It Forward program, whenever possible, to help other animals in our rescue and future animals in need. You may also find our application on our website at www.petmatchmakerrescue.com under the Adopt page. If they are listed on our website, their adoptions have not been finalized yet.
