Story
We're looking for a happy forever home for Repete. The number one requirement is a home with a female adopter.  Men, no matter how calm and laid back, really stress him out. He is not at all aggressive with men,  but they cause him to cower and be constantly on guard. He bolted from a male foster and was missing for 3 years. It's a miracle that he has been found, so we want him to finally find his own calm safe home! The good news is Repete is wonderful with other pets. He's sweet, loving, and will make a loyal companion. He's neutered,  heartworm negative,  and fully vetted. He's about 65 pounds,  is white with tan ears and tan around his right eye, and is about 7 years old.  ##110445##

Story
Pebbles is a big goofball. If you're looking for playful, quirky, expressive sidekick, this is your girl. She shakes hands, sits, catches treats, enjoys puzzle and treat-dispensing toys, and is always up for tug of war. Sometimes she'll throw her toy up in the air to herself, or press it against your knees as an invitation. My fav pebbles quirk is her obsession with lettuce. When I gardened she'd come sniff inquisitively and quickly learned to be gentle around the pots. She's good on a leash, potty-trained, and can stay home while you work without fear of destructive behavior. She's being rehomed due to neglect. Please consider adding Pebbles into your family! She is a loyal gem of a dog who will make you laugh every day. She's coexisted alongside tiny Yorkies for some time; untested w/ cats; kids ~10+ ideally since she is 70lbs. Please reach out. She's SUCH a loving girl, and just wants someone to return the love!

Story
If you want to Truly Rescue a dog, then sweet Peggy is your girl. Peggy has spent the last 2 years living outside on her own. Thankfully she was fed by a nice family who would leave food out for her a night. She was eventually rescued by Missing Dogs of MA. Once PAWS became aware of her, we were more then willing to accept her into our rescue.Peg is now in a foster home where she is working on confidence building and trusting humans. She needs a home where someone will give her lots of time and space to acclimate. This adorable senior is housetrained and will go into her crate, if needed, but her foster has not needed to crate her as she stays in her bed and never chews anything. She is a bit too nervous on a leash right now.Peg is excellent with other dogs. We strongly feel that a canine sibling is required at her adoptive home. She is so much more at ease when other dogs are around. She is also fine with older children who understand that she does need her space. This girl is quiet and does not require much. She just wants a warm bed and to be fed. She doesn’t want or need a lot of human affection, but she does enjoy being in the same room as her foster family. If you’re looking for an active dog to hop in the car and be social, please move on. However, If you’re looking for a lazy couch potato who just wants to feel safe and loved, then look no further. Peg is one of the sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet.Name: PeggyBreed: American BulldogSex: FemaleAge: 8 years  (estimated)Weight: 65.0Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS:Good with Children: Over 5Good with Dogs: Yes, would DEFINITELTY need a canine companion.Good with Cats: UnknownAdoption Fee: $450.00  (includes transport fee when applicable)Location of dog currently:   New England IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.  Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher.
