Story
Ace has a bite history and specific needs.Ace is also so much more than that. If you think you can give him a chance, please read on.This big hunk is Ace, a 7 1/2 year old American Bulldog mix. Ace is a genuinely friendly guy, who loves people. He knows basic commands and is mostly housebroken. He also walks well on the leash. Ace loves treats and toys, but he is a heavy chewer and would need tough toys. While Ace is well mannered and a very good boy, he does have one specific need. He must be crated when he is sleeping. He CANNOT be touched while he is asleep. We have no way of knowing what happened in his past to make him have such a startled reaction to being awoken by touch, but this behavior is manageable. He is a very loving and easy going when he is awake.Ace would do best in a home without other animals and we will not place him with children. If you can provide Ace with a loving home and the tools for success, applications can be filled out online at https://www.griffinpondanimalshelter.com/adopt

Story
Walter is the sweetest boy you could ask for. So gentle and a bit submissive. Walter is great with people and dogs, and we can cat test. Walter is not good on leash at this time, so a fenced yard is very important. A friendly dog might help him as well, but he is such a little love and enjoys affection as an only dog. He is still coming out of his shell here, but what a truly sweet and gentle 1 year old little guy he is. Walter is about 37 lbs at this time and will probably top off around the 45 lb size. We adore this dog! Truly wonderful and so much more handsome in person. A must meet, for he will melt your heart, for sure.  LOVABLE MUTTS ADOPTION CENTER (Pregnant Dog Rescue) is a private, in home, all breed rescue facility. We exist only on the kindness of your donations and adoptions! We pride ourselves on being an HOLISTIC center and feed only holistic foods and various vitamins and supplements to all of our dogs. LOVABLE MUTTS ADOPTION CENTER dogs are well socialized, very friendly, and in wonderful health.  We stand by our pups/dogs, and give 10 days for a refund and almost always take our dogs back at any age of their lives (often depends on dog)! LMAC has an application screening process.  All applicants are asked to provide vet references, personal references, and a home visit.  We pride ourselves in matching up the right dog with the right home. Sometimes this happens quickly and sometimes it might take awhile. We hope you understand and are willing to wait for the perfect pup for your situation. We reserve the right to turn applicants down and to change our mind about a suitable match, for we are only concerned about what is best for our dogs.  Also note that we arrange our visiting hours around your schedule, as this is a private, in home facility.  We respond to all inquiries promptly, so if you have any trouble sending us an email, or have not heard back from us within 24 hours, please, CONTACT US AGAIN and check your spam!  (We all know how emails can be at times!) Our dogs are spayed or neutered (if old enough), up to date on vaccines, wormed, heartworm tested, and free of fleas and ticks.  We temperament test our  dogs and they are all suitable for many family situations. Our dogs are well mannered, know some basic commands, and are usually housebroken within a week of being with us (if old enough).  They are in our family/home situation at this time (not in kennels or crates, although most are crate trained) and are worked with daily.  All of our dogs do well with other dogs and many do well with cats. Adoption donations vary with age, breed, vetting, and training of the dog, and range from $250 to $695 (most being $595).  (We do not tend to place puppies or small dogs with kids under 6 and reserve the right to match who WE feel would be the best homes for our dogs.)   February 8, 2025, 9:53 am

Story
CALLING ALL ANGELS! Clover is a special girl who needs a hero to love her just as she is. Rescued from a high-kill shelter, Clover has faced her share of challenges with resilience and a heart full of joy. Though she suffered a broken pelvis as a young pup, she’s healed beautifully and eager to embrace life. But she comes with some unique needs: due to her injury, Clover has occasional bladder and bowel control issues, especially when she’s excited. She’ll need a calm, understanding home that can provide her with easy outdoor access and a special crate setup to make cleanups simpler. Clover's special crate at rescue will follow her to her new home.  Clover is an exuberant girl who loves to play! Her future family will need patience and a gentle hand to help her learn her manners. She’s happiest around other dogs, so a canine buddy would be a perfect match to help her channel her energy and zest for life. If you’re the angel Clover has been waiting for, she’s ready to fill your home with her love, charm, and playful spirit. She may not sleep in your bed, but her loyalty and devotion will fill every moment.   Apply for consideration to adopt at www.rdrne.org. You must be at least 25 years of age, live within a 5-hour driving radius of Thompson PA. We check veterinary references and require all pets within the home to be spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, and maintained on heartworm and flea & tick medication  ##2043239##

Story
Justin is the perfect mix of all things. He is inquiring.. yet reserved. He is playful.. yet loves to be a couch potato. Justin is a handsome boy.. but his personality is his best attribute. He can be caught rubbing himself deep into his foster brothers bed…to lounging in the afternoon sun. He is content to play quietly with his toys when his foster Mom has to be in a work zoom call. Justin isnt destructive…. His limited vision in his left eye does not slow him down one bit. But he can be seen stealing a plastic cup to fling around and cause a ruckus, guaranteed to make you laugh out loud! Justin truly loves other dogs, he says hello to his foster brother and sister first when he comes out of his crate.

Story
1/11/25 Piper has recovered well from her spay and we also received the great news that she is now heartworm negative. She does great on walks and doesn’t get phased by people walking by. A friend’s boxer visited and she did great with him. Her foster family is working on exposing her to new things. She is a southern girl and does not like the cold. Piper gets along great with her boxer fur-brother. She would do well with a family that has another dog because she is always following the other dog in her home. Piper loves toys that she can carry around in her mouth. She is able to be left alone during the work day and there is a dog walker that comes mid-day to let her out and feed her. Piper is going to be a great addition to a family. Apply today to give this girl a forever home of her own. 12/19/24 Piper arrived at her new foster home in Virginia on Thanksgiving evening. She has had a busy three weeks, including a trip to a pet resort to tell Santa her Christmas wishes. She has done well staying home alone with her foster brother, an older male boxer. Piper has also done well with visitors, including dogs. She loves to sit on your lap and give hugs. Piper loves balls and will often bring them to bed with her. Piper is scheduled to have some vetting updated and her spay completed soon. 7/13/24 Piper was found by animal control roaming the streets in search of food and shelter. She was quite emaciated and tired. Within a few days of receiving vet care and good quality meals, her personality began to shine. She has beat the odds and survived her life on the streets. Piper loves to give hugs! She is extremely gentle and longs for affection. The ideal home for her would have a fenced in yard. Any home would be lucky to share their life and love with this sweet girl.
