You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.*Lewistown, PA* Deitz is an Old American bulldog mix who is true to his breed. He was born in 2013. When he is not playing hard, he just wants to cuddle and warning... he thinks he is a lap dog. He enjoys chewing on bones, deer antlers, and playing with squeaky toys. A fenced yard would be ideal for his energy. If no fence, daily exercise would be a must for him. He rides great in the car and would be a great dog for hikes and long walks. Don't let his age full you.. this boy still has lots of energy and love to share. He would do best in a calmer home without a lot of people in and out. He does good with medium to large dogs, small dogs we would not recommend. He is not good with cats. Older/considerate kids would be best for him to play with since he is a solid boy. He seems to do best with women and is slow to warm up to men, but once he trusts you, you’re golden. He came to ODAAT after his human Mom passed away in their home. Deitz stayed by her side for days until they were found by family and sadly the family was unable to keep him. Understandably so, he will be protective of your family. Story

Joan of Barc was dumped on the side of the road in Alabama nearly dead. The vet said she was almost bred to death. She had heart-worms and various other injuries, but she's now HW free, spayed, and healthy! Because of her questionable former life she does not do well with cats, and is currently in training and getting better with dogs each time. She doesn’t know how to interact with them and gets over-excited and makes them uncomfortable. She LOVES humans, big and small. She's been around children and is amazing with all ages. Older kids would be better because she is strong and sometimes forgets her strength. She is house trained and crate trained; and along with her training on how to interact with other dogs, she is learning leash walking and other basic commands. She is very food motivated and extremely smart, picking up new training in no time. She also redirects from stressful situations very easily as long as you have a treat. :) She has an average amount of energy but her favorite pastime is chewing on water bottles and watching TV. She is a very gentle soul and the bestest girl. She was abused in her previous life and deserves to live in luxury the for the rest of it. She needs someone looking for a companion, but it doesn't matter what kind - family, adventure, couch potato- she can do it all. She just enjoys life now that it's not at the end of a chain. She's the bestest, sweetest doll baby and all she needs is a chance. CHARLESTON IS IN HIS FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN. CHARLESTON WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO PA ONCE HE IS ADOPTED! This hunk is Charleston. He is a four year old Bulldog mix. He is the sweetest fun loving goofball. He is a big boy who loves attention. He wants you to pet him, and he wants to lean into you with his whole body. He does not meet a stranger in a person or dog. He loves playing in the backyard with his toys, and then lounging on the porch sunbathing. He gets excited to go anywhere. He will run to the door and wait for you to let him out- then he jumps right in the car. This adorable boy has the most stunning eyes. We believe Charleston has some hearing loss. He seems to hear some pitches, but either doesn’t hear the others or ignores them. He does good walking on a leash, is kennel trained, and house trained. He loves greatly- he will become your shadow. If he wants your attention he will whine/talk to you to let you know. Charleston is a big boy with still a lot of puppy energy so a home with older children would be best. This guy is amazing, and deserves the perfect forever home! He is fully vetted, neutered, and microchipped. His adoption fee of $500 includes the transport to PA. We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Charleston up north to his new family. Beautiful Handsome Sweet Snoop Snoop is our handsome 2 year old foster pup with the CUTEST features.l with a permanent smile. He never meets a stranger. He loves dogs, kids, belly rubs, loves to give kisses and get kisses, and loves everyone he meets. He really is the very best pup. 🐾 He is potty trained and sleeps well in the kennel and in the bed - you never hear a peep out of him! He rarely barks even when he is outside playing in our fenced in yard. He also rides well in the car and LOVES the dog park. He is the absolute messiest drinker of water and he has no clue he is making a mess. He just looks at us with a smile.❤️ He also likes to walk me until he gets tired and then he does very well. 😂 We walk almost every morning in our neighborhood. He loves and looks forward to his walks. He also thinks everyone wants a kiss from him and I had to tell him that not everyone loves kisses.😢 So we are working on this. He also chases Magzy, our cat, squirrels, rabbits and chipmunks. Really anything that moves, but I really think he wants to just play. He has never caught anything and I am not sure what he would do if he did, but he would be best in a home with no cats. Snoop is a great adventure buddy, but also a great snuggler, loves to sleep under the covers, and deserves the best life! He loves to play ball and bring it back, but only for a snack and in the house. For some reason, he won't fetch it outside. We have been working on this. He will make his forever family so happy and be their best friend, but it’s going to have to be the perfect fit for me to let him go. I would love to keep him, but I am not able to. I love you so much sweet Snoop. The perfect home would be an individual or family that is active and loves to walk, run, hike with their pup and spend time with them. I won't accept anything less. Auggie is a handsome and incredibly sweet 5.5-month-old with an abundance of skin and long, floppy ears that are sure to thaw even the coldest of hearts. He may be the "shy guy" of his litter, but his timidity quickly fades, particularly when treats are involved in the introduction. Auggie is 100% puppy, goofy, clumsy (still trying to master the use of his large thump-thumps), and absolutely adorable. He is currently being raised in his foster home with his two litter mates, Autumn & Artie, along with his five foster brothers & sis. He eats in a group setting (no issues with food aggression or resource guarding), patiently waits for treats, not a barker (but will grunt if dinner is not served quick enough & its ADORABLE), he has excellent listening skills and takes correction VERY well. His favorite pastimes include eating, playing tug of war, chasing his siblings and bugs (occasionally a spicy fly), following his human around, and napping. Auggie holds the esteemed titles of Nap & Cuddle King in our home, and he takes these roles very seriously. He is trained for the kennel and leash and is almost completely housebroken. I believe Auggie would flourish as either a single pet or as a member of a multi-pet household. Scarlet loves to give hugs and has a super goofy personality. She likes the pools and squeaky toys but loves the attention from staff more than anything. She is energetic so walks are a must have! A fenced in yard would also be wonderful although we have learned she knows how to climb when unattended. She does need work on leash manners but seems to learn quickly. She is unsure of dogs and kids so a meet and greet is a must. She does not like cats. Scarlet is hard to capture on camera because she wants to be one with you.. so if you are looking for a loyal, loving, in your space companion look no further! She's your girl!
