Story
Hello, my name is Dottie! I`m sure you can guess why...all my adorable spots! My personality is spot on! I am very smart and love to learn new things. The staff have taught me lots of things like basic obedience, how to walk nicely on leash, and even how to wear a muzzle for vet visits. I`m still learning and would love a family who wants to learn with me! I recently started going to dog playgroup here, so I may be able to live with a dog in my future home, but I would need to meet them to make sure we get along, however I am used to being queen of the castle in my previous home. I am a big, goofy, go-lucky girl. I would do best in a home of older kids, I am housebroken and crate trained, but I also do well when left alone in a home. I love playing in water and enjoy all kinds of toys. I am a big cuddle bug and I adore snuggling. I can be unsure of new people, so it may take me a few times to feel comfy, cozy around you, but once I do....you better make room for this big butt to sit on you! Come meet me today! If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home. While play groups do help us get to know the dog`s better, once they are adopted their new environments and new relationships will influence their behavior in ways we cannot predict. The Adoption Fee Includes:- initial canine distemper combination vaccination- first worming or stool check- rabies vaccination (for animals over 3 months of age)- 24 Petwatch microchipping- flea treatment/preventative- spaying or neuteringAdoption fee: $135.00Per state law, ALL ADOPTERS must purchase a non-refundable 2022 dog license at time of adoption for any canine three months and older. The cost of the license is $7.00. (Senior Citizen or Person with Disability-$5.00)Leash and collar included

WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Douglas - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Hello all you fablulous folks out there, I'm Douglas! I'm here hoping to adopt me a family...one that I can call all my own and since you're reading this I'm also hoping you'll consider making ME part of yours!! I'm a big ol' softie with a heart of gold at only around 2.5 years old. I'm a large, handsome fella at about 65ish lbs, with a shiny white coat and sleek black markings. My sparkling white teeth give away my youthful energy, and I just can't wait to share it with you! I LOVE people, and I love spending time with them even more. My favorite things in life are going for walks, sniffing out new smells, getting endless belly rubs (or chest and neck rubs - really, anywhere you'll rub, I'll take it!) and my soft bed and blanket. I'm a social butterfly, er, dog, and I get along great with my furry friends. My foster says I'm a gentle giant, and I promise to be on my best behavior (most of the time, anyway!). When I'm not busy being a charming goofball, I enjoy learning new things and pleasing my people. I already know how to sit on command, and I'm working on mastering the art of "no" (it's a tough one, but I'm getting there!). My foster mom says I'm a quick learner, and with some patience and love, I'll be the bestest boy ever! If you're looking for a loyal companion who will make you laugh, smile, and maybe even roll your eyes a little (in a good way, of course!), I'm your guy! Let's find each other and start our forever adventure... together! You can find my adoption application at haydudeequine.org Lots of tail wags and puppy kisses, Douglas💗💗

**WE ARE CURRENTLY DOING ADOPTIONS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. YOU MUST CALL TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING. PLEASE LEAVE US A VOICEMAIL IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO REACH US. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND UNDERSTANDING.- CCDP STAFF** Hi there. My name is Lily. I'm about 4 years old and I weigh about 83 lbs. I was found as a stray in pretty rough shape by a kind gentleman that took me in and cared for me. Soon after my arrival to his place, I gave birth to 8 puppies. He cared for us all as long as he could, then brought us in to the pound so we could be vetted and find loving families to join. Of course, puppies find homes super fast, so my babies have all been adopted, but I am still here at the pound looking for a family to join. I am a super sweet, loving and affectionate girl. I have a pretty calm demeanor for the most part, but I do get spurts of playfulness. I have been good around the other dogs that I've met here at the pound and I was an excellent mama to all of my babies, but thankfully I am now spayed, so no more baby raising for me! I am very clean in my kennel and I appear to be housebroken. If you're looking for a great dog to add to your family, please consider adopting me. Our adoption fee is $152. We accept cash, check or credit/ debit cards for adoption fees. If you pay using a credit or debit card, a convenience fee of 2.39% will also be applied. If paying by check, you will need 2. One Check will be for the dog license, and one will be for your dog's adoption fee, which includes heartworm testing (for dogs 6 months of age old and older), parvo/distemper vaccine, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, 3 days of panacur de-wormer, spay or neuter surgery, microchip, and a current Ohio dog license. We DO offer foster to adopt. (We will NOT accept cash for foster to adopt). We highly recommend you do a foster to adopt with your new dog if you are not 100% sure your new dog is going to work out in your home. Foster to adopt gives you a couple of weeks with the dog to make sure they are a good fit with your family before your payment is processed and the adoption is finalized. ALL DOGS/PUPPIES WILL BE SPAYED OR NEUTERED unless a health issue prohibits the surgery from being performed. Not all dogs posted for adoption are spayed/ neutered yet. If you're driving a long distance to adopt, please verify that the vetting process has been completed and dog you're interested in adopting is still available for adoption. The above mentioned vetting is all included in your adoption fee. The adoption fee and what is included in the adoption fee is NON-NEGOTIABLE. Adoptions MUST be done at the pound and in person as there is paperwork to fill out and an adoption contract that must be signed by the adopter. This means you must be willing to travel to our shelter to adopt. If the dog you're interested in adopting has medical conditions or injuries which require medical treatment, we ask that you help with the medical bills, in addition to their adoption fee if possible so we can continue to help the dogs coming in who need additional vet care. We are a county run shelter, therefore we cannot control our intake or the health or behavior of the dogs that come in to our shelter. Although we try our hardest to place all of our adoptable dogs, there are certain circumstances in which any dog in our care could be euthanized at any time and without further notice (IE: sudden untreatable medical condition or injury, temperament or behavioral problems which may not be apparent when the dog first arrives, etc.), therefore all dogs at our shelter should be considered urgent. We try our absolute hardest to never have to euthanize for space and have not had to do so for many years thanks to the ongoing support from the public and high adoption rates. Please remember; the adoption of a more highly adoptable dog will mean more time for the less adoptable dog in the kennel next to him! Shelter hours are Monday-Friday: 8 am- 4 pm. Saturday, Sunday and holidays: 8 am - 12 pm. Adoptions are always welcome any day of the week/ weekend and on holidays. We are here everyday to care for the dogs and the best way to make our day is to see our dogs go to loving families. There is nobody in the office on Saturday, Sunday or holidays, so therefore, we are unable to answer or return phone calls over the weekend. We are only staffed to take care of the dogs and do adoptions over the weekends/ on holidays. Can't adopt a dog? We would love to have more volunteers who are able to spend time with our dogs! The dogs LOVE going for walks and the socialization and exercise helps make the dogs more adoptable. Story
Nyla will be 8 in a few weeks, I adopted her from a shelter in Michigan in 2020 and she’s been an amazing dog since. We’ve moved around the country and she’s always adapted very well, we lived with a puppy for a year and she loved it. Very well trained, very loving, loves attention, does well with kids and infants. Would do best in a home with a yard with humans who can give her lots of love and attention
