Meet Meco. The vet believes he is around 2-4 years old and an American Bulldog. This beautiful boy loves to be lazy most of the day! But when he's not he enjoys walks so he can search for rabbits and anything else that looks fun! He loves stuffed animals and anything soft to snuggle with. He is fully house broken and prefers to hang out around the house while we are gone. He has gotten along well with our three resident dogs. He will chase the cats around the house but is very redirectable. He spends most days outside watering flowers with his foster mom, riding on the ranger and even will hop on the mower for rides too! This guy is the biggest lover. Knows lots of commands. Listens very well. Pleasing his person is VERY important to him. Meco would do well in a home that has time to spend loving him and taking him on walks to explore. He's a lower energy dog most of the time but does really enjoy his outdoor time! If pictures are not able to be viewed on petfinder please go to www.adoptapitrescue.org All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter. Hi, my name is Montgomery but my friends call me Monty! I'm a pretty handsome fella. I'm quite the mix of breeds but they all equal AMAZING! Take a look at my pics to see my DNA test. I'm good with kids and other dogs. I'm super energetic and love to play fetch. I had a rough start to life and have some medical issues - nothing major! The nice people at MVPC and MedVet have taken great care of me. I had an FHO in hopes of bettering my quality of life. I had what their vet is describing as birth deformity’s in both his back leg/hip, and front leg, and while I do walk and run a little funny, the Vet has assured us all that my quality of life is good and with the right owner I should be able to live comfortably for a long time. I also have arthritis in his front leg and may require anti inflammatories to be comfortable for the long term. BUT, I have been cleared for adoption and is “as good as it gets” moving forward. Even though I may move a little funny it doesn't slow me down one bit! I'm ready to find my forever family to love and live my best life! He was the Dog of the Month at the shelter where we adopted him from. He is calm, quiet, likes to rest in his bed all day long until it's time to go on a walk. He loves his back rubs. He never barks at the door bell but he is super excited to make new friends. He is so sweet and friendly. He loves making friends. If anyone breaks into your house, he won't attack them, he'll be excited to make new friends. He loves going on walks more than anything in the world. He has always been perfect and so friendly with children. He absolutely loves playing with children, but unfortunately he had an incident with our baby. We are not sure what exactly happened because we got distracted for a moment but she ended up having a scratch. We can't keep him any longer around our baby. We are so sad to say good-buy to him, I can't stop crying. The best family for him would be without small children or other pets. His deserves another chance with a family with no children.
