Dara is a hoot, but also a homebody, and she is the type of girl who would love to be in her jammies back at home by 8pm. Currently living in a foster home, Dara has shown that she is a great cuddler whose favorite place might just be bundled up in bed. She will even bark to let you know when it`s bedtime and she wants a snuggle. She`s not totally lazy, though. She has a nice, moderate activity level, with bursts of silly zoomie energy on occasion. She enjoys walks and hikes, and is working on being a tugboat on leash - she will at least help you up the hills. Her signature move is wriggling her dumpling self around on her back, partly for the joy of it and partly in case you want to give her belly rubs. Dara could be a little timid meeting new people and visiting new places at first, and she`s really come into her own and her goofy personality shines in a home environment. So if you too feel like a bit of an introvert and are looking for a kindred spirit, Dara is your gal. She is also good in her crate, and totally housebroken. Leon is basically a 75-lb weighted blanket in dog form. He’s really a big, goofy teddy bear that keeps you entertained and laughing all the time. He`s also a smooshy galoot who doesn`t know the definition of personal space. He loooves people and soaking up as much attention as he can get! Currently living in a foster home, Leon has shown that one of his favorite hobbies is snuggling on the couch. Leon has some great qualities that make him a pleasant chonker to have around the house. He`s overall a lower-key guy who doesn`t need a ton of exercise. He`s also housebroken and tolerates his crate and being left alone during the workday. He also is cooperative for baths and rides decently in the car. He`s also friendly with other dogs and would like enjoy a canine playmate who doesn`t mind him being a bit of a bull in a china shop. Leon is a strong beefcake, and would do best in a home with a fenced yard while he keeps working on his leash manners. Not only does he have delightfully short cat ears and a long tail, but he also enjoys curling up in laps for kisses. He has been introduced to other dogs in our playgroups and would do best as an only pet or in a home with a low energy dog of similar size. We do not recommend him in a home with smaller critters. Patience is fully housebroken and feels comfortable in a crate or crated area.Great Routine Buddy: She loves having a routine and would do well with a family committed to training and creating structure.Chill at Home: While she has lots of energy outdoors, she also knows how to relax. She’s happy to snooze in the mornings or lounge on the couch while her person works.Ultimate Lovebug: Patience adores snuggling in bed or curling up on the couch and doesn’t mind acting like a lapdog – tail wagging all the way!Respectful of the Home: She doesn’t get into things she shouldn’t, with the exception of sneaking into trash cans without lids (watch out for those tissues!).The ideal home for Patience is an active and committed adopter. She’d thrive with an active person or family who can meet her energy needs through walks, playtime, or a fenced yard where she can zoom around.A patient adopter willing to help her navigate her fears and triggers; while giving her time to settle into her new home (she typically adjusts around week two). While she hasn’t been around children, her energy level and size might be better suited to homes with older kids or adults. Meet our mama Sunflower! Sunflower arrived to us some months ago, very pregnant and ready to pop! She gave birth to some wonderfully, adorable puppies who have all found their forever homes. Now, Sunflower waits for her turn! She has made leaps and bounds on her path to learning her manners and commands. With one treat in your hand, she is ready to be at service! Sunflower does well in our calmer playgroups, enjoying moseying with dogs and nicely playing. She`s not a fan of the wild children who are all up in her business. No one is a stranger to her and she is fast to jump up for affection and lovins. We do recommend Sunflower goes home with older kids as she`s quiet a chunky gal who loves to be physical with her love.
