Story
We took Hazel in when my husband came in contact with a family that needed a home for her due to the wife having severe medical issues and no time for the dog. We had a Frenchie and a Micro Bully already so to add another bulldog we loved the idea! At first they were all great, Hazel is amazing with kids, and people. She is the BEST snuggler. She gets along fine with our male micro bully but not so much our female Frenchie. about 2 weeks into having her she attacked our Frenchie, we think it was a definite attention thing as someone new was in the house and they were fighting for attention. But then it happened 2 times after that with just us in the house. Hazel is very laid back and our Frenchie is full of energy so that maybe it too, as well as both females, we have tried to make it work over the last month but we just cant. We contacted her old owners with no response and posted her locally with no great leads either. We want her to go to a loving home <3

Story
Chili Pepper is a very sweet black bulldog mix.  The vet estimated she is a Boxer mix, but we think she looks like she has some Bulldog in her.  She's a little overweight and we at the rescue have been trying to help her lost weight.  She gets along with other dogs.  Don't know about cats, but she's a very low-key pup.  She's so sweet.  She loves people. ~~ Adoption donation $200 . All vetting is up to date. Microchipped and spayed. Also on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Visit www.ruffloverescue.com/adoption and fill out the application to make this pup a member of your familyNovember 7, 2024, 5:28 pm

Story
Meet Groovytown! Groovytown is a lovable gentle giant with a personality that matches his name! This sweet dog is a big fan of cuddles, proving that he's a lap dog at heart despite his size. He's incredibly tolerant during bath time, eagerly hopping into the tub for a good wash. Groovytown is well-behaved in public and knows how to sit on command. Despite his age he still has plenty of energy to wiggle around and enjoy his surroundings! He's shown positive body language with other dogs through the fence, though he hasn't been officially dog tested yet. Groovytown is an older gentleman who'd likely do best in a home without smaller children to avoid toddlers falling on his old man bones. This sweet soul rides wonderfully in the truck, making him an ideal companion for adventures. If you're looking for a groovy friend to fill your home with love, Groovytown is ready to join you! Come meet him today! As always, we strongly recommend bringing any resident dogs to the shelter for a meet and greet with potential new family members to be sure it's a good match. If bringing a dog for a meet and greet, please bring proof of up to date rabies, bordetella, and DHPP vaccines. To meet your future pet, come to Guilford County Animal Services between 12 and 4 any day except Tuesday!

Story
**Meet Rain - Your Energetic, Affectionate, and Smart Companion!** Rain is a delightful, medium-to-high energy girl who's as loving as she is playful. With a heart full of affection and a zest for life, she's ready to bring joy, love, and adventure to your home. Whether she's curled up beside you or fetching her favorite ball, Rain's presence will brighten your day. She's not just about cuddles and play, though-Rain is also quite the smarty pants! She knows how to *sit*, *shake*, and *lay down* on command, making her an excellent companion for training, bonding, and fun tricks. Her eagerness to please makes her a quick learner, and she's sure to pick up new tricks in no time! It's important to know that Rain is very strong on leash. While she is smart and eager to please, this skill will take time and patience to train. However, she does mind her manners in public and has had positive experiences in several stores. When she's not showing off her skills, Rain loves to sit by your side and give you all the affection she can. In fact, she truly believes she's a lap dog! No matter how big or small you are, she'll happily climb into your lap for a cuddle, as if she's convinced she's the perfect size to be your personal lap warmer. Rain has a playful side too. She adores playing fetch and is especially fond of balls, which she will happily retrieve and bring right back to you for the next round of fun. But she's not picky-she loves any toy that gets her moving and keeps her engaged. With her medium-to-high energy, she's always ready for some active play, whether it's a game of fetch, running around the yard, or just having fun with her favorite toys. Rain is house trained and has indoor manners, making her a perfect companion for home life. She does enjoy being on couches and takes a little bit to settle down due to the kennel stress. She's also a good traveler once she's had a chance to adjust to the car, and she's ready to join you on all your adventures. While she's sweet and affectionate, there's one thing Rain isn't too fond of: bath time. The hose is a bit scary for her, and she can get anxious during baths. But don't worry-she loves hanging out in her kiddie pool, where she can enjoy the cool water and soak up the sun in peace. Rain is looking for a home that will appreciate her affectionate nature, energy, and loving spirit. If you're looking for a playful and smart companion who will be your loyal sidekick for years to come, Rain is ready to make your family complete. She may be suited best in a home with older kids because of how strong she can be and her love for sitting on laps. Rain has had positive experiences with other dogs. As always, we strongly recommend a dog to dog test to be sure it is a good match. If bringing your resident dog for a dog test, please bring proof of DHPP, bordatella, and rabies vaccines. Rain is currently being fostered by Hounds Town Greensboro-Guilford Doggie Daycare and is available for adoption. She can be adopted directly from the facility after an approved application from GCAS has been submitted to us and you've met Rocket in person. If you'd like to meet Rain, please contact their facility to set up a time! Phone: 336-308-8444 Address: 123 S Walnut Cir, Greensboro, NC 27409 Email: greensboro-guilford@houndstownusa.com Business Hours: Monday-Friday 6:30 am - 7:30 pm Saturday 9 am - 5 pm Sunday 11 am - 1 pm Important Info: The Houndstown lobby is closed to the public between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. Monday through Saturday for some disruption-free downtime after a morning of play.
