Story
His name is Butterball. Need we say more? Of course we do! Butterball is a sweet and well behaved boy who loves peanut butter and parks. He has wonderful leash manners, is attentive (especially if you have treats), and is as photogenic as any model. And of course he loves pets. He’s got the best leg kicks when you scratch just the right spot, which is just about anywhere! Despite looking like he might be a bull in a China shop, he`s very mindful of his size and strength. We think he`d do well in a home with children of all ages

Story
Say hello to this little freight train. Kenny has been working out hard in the event that Santa needed an extra reindeer. He didn’t get the call this year, so while he waits for next Christmas, he’ll be looking for his forever home. Other than being part tank, Kenny is a good boy who knows not everything is about treats. Often it’s about getting out and enjoying the sunshine, or the rain, while staying on the move. If you need to take breaks, be sure to give Kenny the freedom to do his thing while you catch the breath. Kenny has distance goals to hit and he wants you to reach them with him!

Story
Scooby is our longest resident, and that’s because he is really not meant to be a shelter dog but has a hard time convincing potential adopters of that. He is a sensitive dog who gets concerned about stressful things in his environment. He has come such a long way with his anxiety and nerves with us in the shelter but what he requires is stability and consistency. He was in a temporary foster for two weeks and during that time he showed so much growth as he finally had a chance to settle in as a house pet. After some decompression, we found he wasn’t destructive, played with toys and puzzles, snuggled up on the couch, and even had some nice car rides (with only a little whining). Even in the shelter he is a gentle, friendly boy who follows commands, waits patiently for volunteers to leash him in his kennel, and is easy to walk. Although sometimes he does get spooked and wants to go back inside. What Scooby needs is someone with patience and a willingness to build trust with him once they bring him home and who can work constructively with him on his anxiety needs. We have a trainer who will help the new adopter transition Scooby into his new home. Everyone who knows Scooby, loves him!

Story
Little Baby Doe aka Zoe had a rough start when she was found with her siblings in a cardboard box on the side of the road in cold snowy weather.  They were estimated to be 8-9 weeks old when they were found and are possibly a Boxer/Shepherd mix. Baby Doe tested positive for Parvo and was rushed to Cornell ICU for treatment and care.  She has since recovered and finishing up her isolation period.  Earning the Greek name Zoe, a female fighter and survivor.  The litter are in a wonderful foster home that was able to keep the siblings together.  Zoe's favorite thing is to cuddle.  She is working on house training and crate training.  If you are interested in having Zoe join your family please put in an adoption application.  The adoption fee goes towards her extensive medical care, foster supplies and will cover her spay. ##2294903##
