Story
Meet Amy, a 6 year old Lab/American Bulldog mix with a heart as big as her frame! This gentle giant has known love and loyalty for years, but her world was turned upside down when her owner tragically passed away, leaving her and her two best friends, Diamond and Penny, in an overcrowded shelter. Now, Amy is waiting for a second chance at happiness. She may be large, but her sweet, soulful nature is impossible to miss. Amy’s been through a lot, and the shelter is no place for a dog who’s known the warmth of a home. While we’d love for Amy, Diamond, and Penny to stay together, we understand finding a home for all three might be tough. Even if you can’t take all of them, adopting or fostering Amy will give her hope again. She's already spayed and ready to leave the shelter behind, so why not make today the day you open your heart to this beautiful girl? Please share Amy's story far and wide—her future depends on it! By adopting me today you will save the life of two pets -- you'll save me and that will make room for the Shelter to rescue and save another pet.

Story
Meet Diamond, a 10 year old American Bulldog who presence at the shelter breaks our heart. This sweet girl’s world turned upside down when her beloved owner passed away, leaving her and her best friends, Amy and Penny, heartbroken and homeless in an overcrowded shelter. Despite the sadness in her eyes, Diamond’s gentle, loving nature shines through. She’s been loyal for years and now just needs someone to show her that love again. If you’re looking for a devoted companion who will greet you with soft eyes and a wagging tail, Diamond is ready to be that loyal friend by your side. Though she came in with her pals Amy and Penny, we know it’s a tall order to find a home for all three large dogs together. But if you can open your heart and home to even one of these sweet girls you'll be saving a life! Diamond is already spayed and can go home with you today. Please help Diamond find hope again by sharing her story far and wide. She’s waiting for a miracle – could that be you? By adopting me today you will save the life of two pets -- you'll save me and that will make room for the Shelter to rescue and save another pet.

Story
Meet Penny, a beautiful 6 year old American Bulldog with a heartbreaking story. This gentle giant had her world turned upside down when her beloved owner passed away, and now she finds herself in an overcrowded shelter with her two best friends, Diamond and Amy. Penny is sweet, loyal, and has spent her whole life by her owner's side, so it's no surprise that she’s struggling to adjust to shelter life. She's looking for a second chance at happiness, and while it would be a dream to keep her trio together, Penny is ready to be your one-and-only or join a home that can open its heart to more than one! This girl is LARGE in both size and affection—her love for people is boundless, and she’ll be your devoted companion through thick and thin. Penny is already spayed, so she’s ready to go home with you today! She deserves a cozy spot to lay her head and the love of a family who can help her heal from this heartbreak. Please share Penny’s story and help her find the forever home she so desperately needs. Will you be the one to give her hope again? Story
UPDATE!!&#226&#156&#168 This handsome boy is Beau. He was found as a stray with his 3 siblings. Beau is a Bully mix of some sort. He is around 5 months old and 35ish lbs. He is beyond sweet. Loves other dogs and all people. He would make the perfect family pup. He had a fungal skin infection that was treated and he’s been cleared by the vet. He is utd, dewormed and neutered. Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. New environments, situations, families, routines, ect. can lead to accidents even with the most well trained animals.  All dogs have a $175 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! Puppies will be altered before adoption. All rescues and shelters practice pediatric spay and neuter. This is essential in our rescue efforts and it is a policy that we will stick by. All dogs over 8 weeks and 2 pounds will be altered before adoption. There are no exceptions to this rule on all healthy and adoptable dogs. We have researched and discussed in depth with multiple vets everything on pediatric spay and neuter and from a rescue stand point it must be done. Please do not ask for an extension on spay and neutering, it will NOT be granted on a healthy puppy!  Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non refundable $50 deposit. Deposits can ONLY be submitted once the rescue has been in contact on your approval and it has been requested through Wags and Whiskers. This deposit is applied to your adoption fee and the remaining $125 is due at pick up. Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. We also have full-time jobs and Families. We will try to answer all questions and applications in a timely manner. Please be patient and bear with us . Do not contact any of the vet clinics we work with, as they are a vet clinic and can not answer questions on behalf of Wags and Whiskers. All questions and comments must go directly through the rescue. Thank you for your understanding. Story
NEWBIE ALERT!!&#226&#156&#168 Meet Momma Mayli and her 5 handsome boys! This poor momma was left tied to a tree in the woods with her newborn babies. Thankfully, this family was found before it was too late! All got settled into foster care and are now thriving. The babies are going on 7 weeks old and growing like weeds. We are unsure of what dad could be. Momma Mayli is definitely a bulldog mix. She’s around 3 years old and 50 lbs. Ahe is a total sweetheart. She loves all people and does fine with other dogs. She’s adjusted well to having a loving family and loves all attention. She will be adoption ready once babies are weaned and her milk has dried up so she can be spayed. The babies will be ready at 9 weeks once they have had 2 rounds of vaccines and are altered. We are taking applications now and will be reserving these pups to the perfect forever homes! Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! All dogs have a $175 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter!
