Welcome Buddy to CCPAL Rescue. He is a 2-year old American Bulldog and Australian Cattle dog is our best guess on the mix. He has a lower coat and does shed. He is a bit of a puller on leash when he first gets out of his kennel. He is intelligent, affectionate and ready to learn. It doesn’t appear he would be hard to train but may have not had a lot of training in his first home. He would be great for a runner, jogger or hiker. He is sturdy and could keep pace and would love to join his human. He is in my opinion a perfect man dog. He loves men naturally and leans in to show his affection. He hasn’t been reactive on leash when walking around other dogs. He is social and not afraid of new people. He is exuberant so we think he would be best around children that are 8 or older. He would do great with an active family that wants an active companion. He does slow down and likes to chill out as well. He is not perpetual motion. He is getting neutered soon and is already getting his vaccinations and will be chipped. He is hw negative and ready for his forever home. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Surly is a beautiful dog, she'll be three on April 29th. She's been a great dog and loves laying around cuddling with her younger brother Finnegan (also available). We rescued Surly from Save-a-Bull as a young puppy. She's always been a loving and affectionate dog who loves our young kids. Surly loves the snow and doesn't mind going on walks even when it's cold! She is very smart and knows commands like sit, shake a paw, lay-down, up, come, stay, etc. She is still young and will need additional training. We are looking for someone who loves big dogs and knows how to care for them properly. Surly is strong! You need to be in pretty good shape to walk her. The ideal owner is able to take both Surly and her brother Finn or at least has another larger dog at home for Surly to play with. Ideally you have experience with the breed as well.

Hi, my name is Phoenix. I am from Arkansas. Phoenix found himself with a shelter partner of ours after escaping a life of neglect. Rescued from poor living conditions, he's blossomed into one of the happiest, best-behaved dogs you could meet. Phoenix loves to play fetch and tug-of-war, is 100% house-trained, and gets along well with other dogs. With his striking brindle patches and mismatched eyes, he's ready to find a loving forever home where he can continue to thrive! From his foster: Phoenix is a lovable old soul with a goofball side. He is such a sweet boy and has been so well behaved the entire time we've been fostering him. He's fully house and crate trained. He did bark for a few minutes the first couple times he went in the crate but he's been perfectly fine from there on out. Phoenix has been very gentle with everyone he's been around including kids and our other dog. We leave him out at night and he just crashes wherever he wants and has never been destructive with anything in the house. He's a little on the husky side so we're working on some leash training to get a little exercise but the main thing this guy wants to do is cuddle up on the couch with you and take some naps. Adrian is a smart, playful puppy who also loves to snuggle. He loves kids and he’s cautious, but curious with other dogs even 10 times his size. He’s such a sweetheart! Adrian is 4 lbs 10 oz at 9 weeks old.Mom was a purebred English Bulldog (owner kept her) and suspected dad is a border collie. I was in a shelter down in Texas and thanks to some bulldogs loving people, made my way up to Underdog! I had horrible cherry eyes and had surgery on those and lemme tell ya seeing well sure is fun.  Now, I’m a healthy guy and can’t wait to find my forever. I’m what they call a bowling ball of a bulldog. I’m either napping - or ready to party. Everything is so fun - eating, treats, bones, walks a you name it I’m game to check it out and will probably love it. I’d love to enroll in a Basic Obedience class with you and learn some manners. I have no ill intent, but the humans tell me I need to learn “sit” “leave it” and “off” and that it would make me a more well mannered guy. I can get mouthy when excited, never biting, but when I get excited I try to put something in my mouth.  I love pleasing the humans in my house and making them laugh. They do that a lot - laughing at my silly antics. I’m do great on leash and love going for walks. I enjoy meeting new friends - both humans and dogs. Potty training is still something we’re working on, but together I know we’ll master together. I’m crate trained, but may bark in there for a few minutes, but do settle down and sleep in there overnight or while you’re away. After a good play session, I love a good dog bed to snooze away on. My ideal forever home would have older kids I can’t knock over - sorry to the little ones. I’m sure we’d be great friends, I just don’t know my size.  I’m good with non alpha dogs, but would love to be an only dog, too! If you do have another dog that likes to romp and roll and play, that would be fun! While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home.
